@@patriciasmith3875 Which one?
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 Sarah
@@patriciasmith3875 awesome!
This one is such an underrated classic. Impressive motion capture, a twist that both saddens me and creeps me out every time, and pretty edgy humor for it's rating.
You left this on another monster house reaction video or you copied it?
I'm honestly surprised by how well this movie holds up. I think my favorite thing is the house itself. You can tell that the animators put a lot of work into giving it so much personality.
Monster House is one of the most iconic yet underrated animated monster movie films of all time, at least in my opinion.
Me too.
It's shocking how people don't even talk about this movie, it's a constant play around Halloween time and it even got nominated for best animated film of 2006 at the Oscars (Of which, personal opinion: even though I think that Happy Feet is a good movie, I personally would've picked Monster House because it Perfectly blends suspense, horror, comedy and even some drama.) I hope that people will give this a watch especially at Halloween time. (Although just a fare warning, while I think that kids will like it, I think that it's almost too scary for children under 7 or 8.) But that's just me.
Nebercracker literally broke out of the hospital and stole an ambulance just so he could get back to blow up the house.
That's why he gets out on the driver's side.
To be real with you, this movie resonates with me a lot, I always felt that the magic of Halloween never truly dies and shouldn't be stopped celebrating just because you're older, you should share it with others (nephews and what not) Also I used to have a Neighbor like NebberCracker, he was actually a really sweet old man albeit very strict
On Halloween, anything can happen.
This is an extremely sad story when you consider the fact that mr nebbercracker is really a sweet, caring man but his whole life was basically stolen from him as he had to be a bitter and hateful shut in to please his house (wife) and keep people safe.
He's the real MVP!
And he loved his wife too.
He is just trying to protect the kids.
Nebercracker has muscles from back when he built his house from the ground up. He's definitely strong enough to snap a tricycle in half.
The fact that this is a Steven Spielberg film is crazy, but makes sense!
This movie is special to me. I remember Monster House coming on TV every Halloween. Me and my siblings would all gather around and watch this movie every year.
You know it’s a good movie when you cry over the back story of a freaking house 😂
There needs to be a Monster House 2 where they’re older and the house is a mansion, and they are like experts on the subject and get called to do it, perhaps the three get reunited as maybe they don’t talk to Jenny anymore, and we could perhaps explore what is underneath the house when it’s mouth opens up
Back when this was in the theaters my mom and I were literally the only ones in the room. There was a break scheduled to people could go to the bathroom, especially kids, and an employee just came down to ask if we wanted the break or keep watching
Theres some huge foreshadowing when Nebercracker returns from the hospital, with the box of dynamite on the lawn.
Even before it got to the point where the house pulled itself out by the roots, Nebercracker was already at the breaking point.
Whether she snapped or not, he'd made up his mind this was going to be the last year, once and for all.
Wait, so was Nebercracker planning to blow himself up with the house? Thank goodness DJ stopped him, then!
I never noticed that growing up even as a adult right now that’s very dark man...😟
Thanks Nick for reacting to my favorite animated Halloween esque film. Such a unique and imaginative premise.
I remember getting this movie as a birthday gift when it came out, and I rewatched the hell out of it. I have very fond memories of this movie and it’s very much an underrated classic. I’m glad more people are watching and enjoying this movie nowadays.
I remember getting this as a birthday present as well. But I did find it strange since this more of an October movie, and my birth month was February.
When I was a kid I was afraid of all the scenes that Nebercracker appeared (after he tells his backstory).
This is a classic and I watched at my grandma’s house, what a terrifying experience and even when you grow up it’s even more funnier.
Every scene that Chowder is in, makes it funny; specially the “it’s a girl-house” cracks me every time
41:42 Edna : No capes !
30:12 Well, actually he’s right. The house IS Constance so yeah, it’s a girl house.
Thank you for reminding me about my favorite Halloween movie!! I was so pumped when I saw you were reacting to it omg. Made me cry as a kid and watching this now, Mr. Nebbercracker dancing with Constance one last time still got me
Steve Buscemi performed the voice of Nebbercracker in Motion-capture (like Avatar) he also did the voice of Randall in Monsters Inc🏚
Happy Halloween Nick! 👻🎃🌛
Also Wayne the Wolfman in "Hotel Transylvania".
The whole cast was actually motion capture actually. Including, Kathleen Turner for The House.
yeah i honestly didnt even noticed that he did the voice for nebbercracker
This movie is underrated. I loved it as a kid and it still holds up. It's pretty damn funny haha.
This is actually a true story. I remember watching this film in elementary school and I got so scared to the point where I had to excuse myself and go to another classroom and stay there with whatever movie they had on because it was less scary. That's a memory I'll never forget lmao.
It's a true story that a demon possesed a house and became self aware and vengeful towards children to the point where it chased them???
Lol I know you mean the wife story, was just kidding
Thanks so much Nick for watching monster house I grew up with this movie
Me too.
Never been so early, I missed your reactions thanks so much.
this is one of my favorite animated movies of all time! great reaction Nick! ❤
Me too. Besides, I watched this movie on 📀 every year.
WHOOOOOO!! YEAH!! A Halloween classic, 🎃 and good starting point for kids who wanna get into horror. This, followed by Coraline.
This movie reminds me of the haunted mansion because they're both tragic love stories.
32:42 me too.
such an underrated classic! there is an end credits scene that i don't think you caught, and it shows that the police officers and even the dog survived! so it wasn't just bones lol
YES!!
HELLO
The audio is back!
Once again, here's a list of movies I'll be watching in November:
Tuesday: Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde 1931, Mark Of The Vampire
Wednesday: The Picture Of Dorian Gray, Isle Of The Dead
Thursday: Stage Fright, Guys And Dolls
Friday: The Last Of Sheila, Night Moves
Saturday: A Star Is Born, Lost Highway
Sunday: Sound Of Metal, Rumble
Monday: Orphan First Kill, FALL
Tuesday: Bullet Train, NOPE.
Between this film, Cars and Happy Feet, I felt like this film was robbed of Best Animated Picture.
I don’t know if you know this but there is a small scene after the credits (you don’t need to record yourself watching it, just thought maybe you’d want to see it)
My brother really liked this movie, mostly I love the scary parts and the behind story
Excuse me, Nick. I understand you may not have much time to read comments, if any time at all, but if you happen to notice this, I have a film suggestion(s).
The films are Rio and Rio 2, two of my childhood favorites. All I will say is that they will blow you away.
This movie is amazing and the style of it really well designed. And the way how they bring the house to life is very cool. Happy Halloween Nick.
this is the best movie of animation in hallowen for my infance.
cool
Dude, this film was the ish. The cops are voiced by Kevin James and Chris Rock.
Actually, that’s Nick Cannon who voiced the rookie cop.
For Halloween at work, I dressed up as Chowder with the cape.
I love this movie. This is one of my personal favorites, after Hocus Pocus. Definitely top 5 favorite for me. ❤
It was a interesting but sad back story for the wife
This has been one of my favourite Halloween movies since the first time I saw it as a kid 😊 so happy your reacting to this 😁
YES! Thank you I have been hoping and waiting for your reaction to this movie! :) Yay! Happy Halloween Nick!
19:30 He was just showing off in front of Jenny 😂
"Hey, Dj you got any beer?"
This movie is so funny 😂
15:39-15:41 don’t look back! Gets me every time. 😂
Yes there's audio let's fucking go!!!
Heh, I rememberer this movie. Perfect for Halloween. The love triangle was too awkward though. The plot is almost identical to a certain Courage the Cowardly Dog episode 😏
Love 💗 triangle is not very healthy relationship when, 2 men dated the same woman.
I don’t know why that line of Chowder looking back at the house shouting “I looked back” and failing to shut the door the first time is so funny to me 15:39
This is a pretty intense and scary movie for PG.
Indeed. Especially, a Christmas 🎄 Carol.
It would've been PG-13 or Rated R if you know the deleted scenes and original script idea
When i was younger (4-7), i had a 'game' that had to happen everytime i watched this on dvd. For the menu, when you hit play, the carpet tongue shot out towards you on screen. So i would duck behind the corner of a doorway when playing the movie so Constance wouldn't get me. 😂😅 this movie scared me as a kid to the point i had nightmares of constance coming to get me.
Coraline eventually topped it when i saw it because of the other mother, but i don't remember having nightmares with her in them.
Hope you're doing well! Love the reactions! This movie is one of my favorites!
This movie made my childhood
Happy Early Halloween Nick! 🎃
also Sorry about the audio in the video but im glad you fixed it thank you so much.
Thanks for reacting to the movie Nick. By the way, you missed at the post credits scenes the cops and the dog survived too
Well nick hope you liked the movie and have a lovely rest of your night
I gotta admit when I watch Monster House, it’s almost like watching The Goonies in animation form. I highly recommend that film if you loved this one. Also I felt really bad both Nebercracker and Constance. He didn’t want to let her go due to his fear of being alone. She didn’t want to leave, because I think to her, he was the only one person who showed her kindness and love. So in her mind, she was protecting him from the outsiders. 🧑🏻🦱👱🏻♂️👩🏻🦰👴🏻👻👿🏠
Day 33 of me requesting a reaction to My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
What a treasured childhood memory.
For some.
This brought me my first existential crisis.
ANYWAY, I hope you enjoyed the movie. It's a good one.
22:50 every time I here dude's voice I immediately think of Napoleon Dynamite 😂 Nick should react to that movie. Jon Heder is Hilarious
This is such a great movie thank you for the reaction! If your looking for another Halloween movie to react to you should watch Scary Godmother 1&2, it’s so underrated I wish they would play it on tv again! Thank you again!
Hey, Nick! I hope you liked this movie! Also, the other one did have audio, because I could hear itZ
I’m not complaining
Me too so I didn't understand
@@chrisyboy139 Same here
This movie is so good and so underrated. It’s a rather sad story but still got a happy ending. Also if you were to watch a bit longer then you’d see everyone else emerge from the house that got eaten 😊
My favourite part of this movie was how the house looked as well. I used to be obsessed with the house cause it looked so creepy lol
One of my childhood favourites👍🏼
We were soooo scared of this movie!!!! But watched it all the time!
One of my favorite movies.
The giant toothbrush was for an publicity related to toothbrushes
Omg!! I seen & loved that movie when I was 9 years old!!!
It's a really the most amazing 3d animated movie ever made!!!
Buried in cement, fate worse than death☠️
You missed the end credits where the police officers and dog came out too. Also, the babysitter dumps Bones for the pizza dude 😂
I enjoy your videos keep up the good work 💖👌
Monster house is my favorite
This movie scared me so much as a kid 😨
thank you so much for this reaction
Love your videos Nick ❤️❤️❤️❤️
NickFlix Happy Halloween 👻
This is my Halloween movie. I remember someone playing this movie on Projector screen as a trick or treat decoration with popcorn.
JENNY: Dee Jay!
DEE JAY: Chowder!
CHOWDER: Mommy!
This is a great movie to watch on Halloween during October, and it having three kids as main characters remind me of: Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Heormine Granger.
You should react to the Scary Godmother movies if you haven't yet!
Love your reaction and the movie is so gooodd
When I First watched this movie the day it came out I thought that Nebbercracker would possessed the house but the unexpected sad twist got me.
Nebercracker's backstory is the primary reason I chose to stay single.
Now that's a Halloween movie
When he said it's a girl house I started laughing hard very very hard 😂
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Very nostalgic movie as a kid watched it but I was always very scared
I Remember Watching This Movie 10 Years Ago Back In 2014 When I Was In 4th Grade I Watch This Movie In My School With When I Ways 10 Years Old
I love this movie mostly because of how risky it is,I mean this movie gets up to some really sketchy stuff that I haven't seen in many cartoons, the jokes as well are surprisingly mature for the type of movie that it is and none of them feel shoehorned or unnecessary, the villain intrigues me mostly due to what the monster house truly is to Nebbercracker, the fact that his wife actually IS the monster house is really quite interesting, plus I love that the movie allows us to view the house from a sympathetic perspective and it's especially effective to really make you feel sorry for the wife that posseses the house, the end part where his wife's spirit is set free from the house is while very tragic on the bright side because her spirit is set free she's no longer in pain and happy
Such a good movie with a devastatingly intriguing plot, really enjoyed this reaction! I hope you react to some other movies of the horror genre, Scream is one of my favorites, not too scary but a classic nonetheless! Coraline is also a must!
Happy Halloween 🎃
one of the best movies ever
This movie was a classic when I was a kid
DJ is my favourite
I think you would like the movie Ballerina.
I clicked faster than sonic, first one to comment
