- The Carcass team revives a junkyard bound Buick Regal and turns it into FrankenRegal. The left for dead chassis gets a slew of guerrilla-style upgrades that triples the horsepower, improves the handling, and roasts some tires! This man-sized go-kart is then tested in the "Carcass Games" to see which builder can drive it the best.

This reminds me of similar stripped down cars that were common in the mid 1960's. Usually made with flathead Fords or Merc's. Main difference is we'd shortened the drive shaft and move the engine back about two feet. The most important mod was to disable the front brakes and we actually included roll bars. The best use of this arrangement was to scare adults foolish enough to come along for a ride. At speed above 50 mph on a black top road, you'd stomp on the brake and spin the steering wheel as far as it would go. This would induce crowd pleasing multiple 360 degree turns and the wrath of your adult passenger. Would have been nice to have had seat belts. Never flipped one over.
Nice wheels and tires for something that was sitting around waiting to be scrapped...

I have built 3 similar rigs. On that I built back in the 70's had a 430 Mercury engine in it. It would fry the tires. I shortened the frame about 2 feet though

Seems like it picked up a limited slip diff with the new rubber. It needs ground pressure. Careful ballasting with a significant mid rear bias will improve weight transfer and acceleration. No more motor needed!

That zz4 engine looked suspiciously like a 602 Gm spec engine. Good engine just the same. That unit looks like a bunch of fun.

That's not a ZZ4 it has Iron Vortec heads, it's a CT350 or 350HO Crate motor. I'm going with CT350 because of the big oil pan and single sided breathers.

That's not a ZZ4, it has Vortec heads. ZZ4 has aluminum Corvette style heads.

3.8 what are you gonna do with it I need a replacement for my 4.3 that's getting a little tired. Can do a rebuild on the Buick, I have the spec's for a grand national rebuild that would make the 3.8 awesome. It is done by over the counter parts from gm to turn the 3.8 into a monster nascar grand national engine.
