DJI AVATA - First Impressions & Reactions to this absurdly fun device!

- The DJI AVATA is here and with it comes a brand new FPV goggles with OLED screens, smaller form factor, and a really quite cute cinewhoop form factor drone that can be controller with the motion controller. This combo makes a lot of sense for a number of reasons, here's some genuine reactions of checking out the goggles and flying it for the first time!

DJI just keep surprising everybody.
Another great fpv product that works right out of the box unlike what we were used too.
This drone wins in both fun and safety department! Most importantly, very impressive flight performance!
Flew this drone all over Indonesian islands and I was super impressed with what I was able to capture
Enjoyed the time just watching this. Flying the Avata would definitely be twice the fun!
Haven’t heard somebody say “daamn Daniel” in forever. I got a good laugh out of that.
This drone is the new talk of the town and I understand why. Surely exciting to fly!

Your first review of the v1 goggles convinced me to go digital and I have never been happier. You and your mates reaction to flying their new offering has me seriously considering. I was thrilled I can wear my glasses with the v1 goggles. Do you know if the goggles 2 will fit glasses?

Hey dude, they have diopter adjustments in the goggles so if your prescription is -8 to +2 you can tune each eye and won’t need glasses :) alternatively they do have an extra glass insert you can get a custom lens made for astigmatism or stronger prescription. I’d wait and see what happens with anything for diy fpv drones and I’ll keep you updated 😁 , thanks for your support dude ❤️
Awesome mate 👏 been planning on going digital for ages but still have no idea which way to go . If the new air unit is as good as the camera in this then we may have a winner 🏆

If your a beginner i would recommend the Avata or DJI FPV
Will it crash if you hold down or will it fly at above the ground and hold its height like the Mini 3 Pro so it doesnt crash in normal and sport mode?

Quite possible, would like to see what the cameras capable of in more difficult lighting situations etc before commiting to that tho!
@@SyncFPV makes sense , but already if the handling is that good is promising , you need to try to strap a go pro on and see how it deals with it 💪🤙
Sync - over beaches, forests, water (mid altitude cruising) would you say you would notice the difference in image quality (seen through googles) if paired against the DJI JP v1 goggles?)
The image quality seen in the goggles is hugely better in these primarily because of the superior oled screens and adjustable diopter optics. I feel that’s what had the biggest impact for me. But obviously not being able to use them with freestyle fpv drones means they aren’t going to be general use yet
@@SyncFPV thanks! you answered the follow up question too :) I really like the ergonomics of new controller and googles, great for packing a bag and travelling. Nearly convinced.
I don’t need 8k quality for my stuff and the inbuilt camera looks good enough. Still a dedicated 3 inch cinewhoop with a gopro10 still a few hundred cheaper and can repair on the fly.
The battery life though… dammit. I hate these choices….
"Like Action 2 but graded by Gav" 😂 that's bang on. There's no 50Mbps mode in CE so this was 25Mbps at 25mW, imagine 50Mbps at full power 🤯
None of you had issues with optics or fogging?
Btw Motion Controller does have input lag because it has a pretty heavy filter for your hand shaking.
😂 are you sure bout that? Looking back at the footage captured from the phone and it says 50mbps in the osd, but it does drop down without much in the way so its definitely 25mw, absolutely gonna need to work out how to unlock the power when I get mine 😅 I'll send you a message ;) No issue with the optics at all it was perfect, and as for fogging, it might be that it was only in use for short bursts? Like 5 minutes at a time that meant it never really happened? I'm not sure. That definitely makes a lot of sense on the motion controller!

@@alexanderschmitz737 the first one is heavier but its also 6S and is capable of some sort of freestyling but this one is half the weight with 4s batteries, this one is more for cinewoop style flying ,
to be honest none of them are for freeflying or acro Action ,
but I dont recommend the dji fpv drone to anyone for anything , and I do recommend the avata drone ,
if the air unit is the same as avata, then its a deadcat frame and good bye gopro

yes
no, only in manual mode with the remote v2, sport mode is still angle locked

Avata is an over priced noob attraction
I'd really like to see an honest review. Not a single review talks about connectivity to the Vista or old air unit, compares the new goggles to the new Fatshark, or how heavy the quad is. It can't carry a GoPro, do ReelSteady, batteries are super expensive and proprietary to this drone. There appears to be a significant amount of jello in the footage, there's no way to adjust the PIDS, so if you do decide to put a GoPro on it, the drone will fly like literal garbage. Every review just looks at it like some Walmart drone and says that it's "so much fun to fly" without so much as a single critique.

Nothing, it’s not even my drone 😁 this isn’t in any way going to replace my regular drones, nor should it. It’s just a very light hearted way to enjoy the feeling of flight, and I think to enable people to enjoy new ways of flying for fun is a good thing
