Dan, ran some testing today, and man, so impressed with this drone. Motion controller is great but takes a little getting used to. Filming location was not as expected; just 1.5km from destination a dip in the road caught me out and cracked my oil sump. 🙃 Anyway, I flew where I had broken-down, then back at my hotel later. Drone has impact detection shown in goggles if you hit something hard enough. My motion controller will not charge on 30w charger, which is strange. Maybe you can try yours on 30w charger and feedback if it charges. Anyway, I'm in edit mode right now and hope to post my video today. Best regards, John Noble

The Avata with the motion controller is a great introduction to FPV before you go into the full acro mode.

Dan, ***Big issue*** the motion controller may not charge with the battery pack per the manual, LIKE MINE. The only workaround, you’ll need to find an old Apple charging block (the small one) and a USB-A to USB-C cable only to charge it. Nothing else will work, trust me I know. This is a known issue. I spent hours trying to get mine to charge and almost sent it back per the warranty.

I use a surge breaker with a built in USB port to charge mine and it works perfectly fine with any USB-C cable.

@@DansTubeTV that’s the way it’s supposed to work. Apparently, with some motion controllers it’s a known issue. I spent over two hours, trying to get mine to charge until I found the fix or work around on one of the forums on DJI. Not sure what is causing the issue but you might want to put it out to people.
