  • This is my first impressions review of the new DJI Avata FPV drone and new goggles 2. Join me for my first full flight with the DJI Avata and see what my first impressions are... spoiler alert I was very pleased. I think this is the drone I have been waiting for, although lacking in some aspects compared to the DJI FPV it more than makes up for it in others. The DJI Avata is built like a tank so no being worrying about crashing and if you happen to run into small objects it is no problem most of the time it will keep on flying. The new goggles 2 with its 1080 OLED screens make for a nice sharp crisp image allowing you to pick up on small details and obstacles easily. This drone is a lot of fun and the video quality is incredible! Lots of video footage to get a feel for the quality of the video the DJI Avata captures.

I’ve been reading about some people having fogging up issues I guess maybe it depends on your environment and humidity levels. As of now I’ve done seven flights and I have not had any fogging issues whatsoever. Most days I’ve been flying it’s been about 30° and fairly humid. I really wonder what the differences is, maybe it has something to do with the way it fits the face. For example back when we had to wear masks people with glasses with fog up from their own breath. So maybe some people where it doesn’t fit correctly around the nose it is fogging up from breathing perhaps

The type of cinematic cruise around like this, the original FPV are actually better because of two things. Red sensors in googles appear plenty ahead if you are going straight ahead of something you know when to pull up, and way more power, so if you don't gonna pull some close to ground flipping style, the old fat boy is better in my opinion.

Sweet! (Just look out for the Drone Karens male and female, especially since it’s noisy)

Definitely not worth the money, compared to the FPV. You're paying more money for just the bumper guards and size. Very noisy!!! Lacks penetrations and distance. DJI went backwards from the FPV. Don't be fooled!!!!!!!

I get it the strong will definitely not need everyone’s needs. However for me I think it’s the opposite of your statement. From either three main factors why this is a better choice for me. Size in Port ability, durability, and the simple fact that you can fly through things without branches making your drone crash. The FPV drone is a lot more powerful and faster but I was always nervous to fly the way I wanted. I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts its it’s always great to hear others opinions

@@AirPhotography I understand. I'm just looking at it on a different prospective.
I just think the price does not match the build. Aside from not having the blade guard, I'm happy with the FPV, and and this point, I recommended to my friends, not to spend the money.

I will agree with you on that by the time I bought the drone, care refresh, controller, fly more kit in Canada here it was almost 3000 with taxes. Very expensive for what it is.

@@AirPhotography Don't mistake my comment. I enjoy the DJI product. I have the FPV, Mavic 3 and Mini pro 3. I have use for all three. DJI should've thought the pricing through, otherwise I would've purchased it, just for the size and protection it has. But after flying one, I'm just confused.
