First stop: Nashville, Tennessee, where local host/personality Paxton Elrod is on a mission to prove to Justin no matter how popular Nashville becomes as a tourist destination, it’s still a small town city with a southern charm. Here are the best places to eat, drink and visit on your trip to Nashville.

Prince's and Bolton's are the ONLY places to eat hot chicken.
Bolton’s is certainly authentic and local, but Bolton’s was also too hot! Lol. My lip was swelling afterwards! However, Prince’s and Helen’s on Jefferson Street are my go to spots! I don’t want any other, not even 400 Degreez.

I love Bolton's! It's my favorite hot chicken spot in Nashville! My daughter even eats the hot level.. I get the xtra hot double dipped & double seasoning! The ribs, catfish, & chicks are phenomenal! The homemade sides are amazing.. Don't forget to get one of Estelle's chess pies!
I love it too. Only Prince's has better hot chicken. Bolton's hot fish is the best...heat, mustard, onion, cheese, pickles,white bread. So damn good.
Sadly, Justin wandered into East Nashville and just blended in so well he was never seen again...

Middle Tennessean since 1977. A few points.
Broadway has been safe since the late 90s. After the Arena was built, the Predators moved in, and the Oilers moved here and became the Titans. Before "95 it was horrible.
You lost EXTREME points with the "Nashvillian" hanging out on Broadway. Only happens when they have family in town and have to. Or before a Preds game.
However you gained MAJOR points when she corrected you on Nash Vegas. NO ONE from Nashville uses that DAMN TERM!!!!! If you hear someone in Nashville using it then they are either a tourist or a brand new transplant. If they are a new transplant we will fix them.
Other points are valid. There are lots of other places but she took you to some solid ones.
I think she should just toured him around everywhere minus Nashville and maybe some of the other greater cities. It's a bad representation of our state.

I like the concept... but the competitive, smarmy small talk feels like sibling rivalry on a long distance road trip. Maybe they just weren't a good match together for me. Tapped out at 8:16. I'll try the other episodes. I'm southern as well, and being nice to someone coming to your town is just natural. She just seemed ... bothered he was there.
We have a Christmas bar in Austin that's been open for 40 years and no joke, it's one of the best bars in the entire city.

First view of the city was from Love Circle. Smack dab in a residential neighborhood, so don't go there expecting to party. But you can bring a blanket and sit down for a relaxing view.
I worked a half block north of Broadway for a few years. The reason it seems different during the day is that you see a lot of people who are there to work, not party.
There's a lot of good hot chicken places in Nashville. Unless you've been to them all you can't say one is the best. Bolton's, Prince's and Big Shakes are very good. I've never conquered the lines at Hattie B's. New places seem to pop up all the time. If you've never had it, don't get the hot. Just don't.
The drunk bachelorettes on the pedal taverns are known as the Woo Girls. Be patient, they'll get out of the way.
The best place to take scenic pictures is from the John Siegnethaler Walking Bridge or on the banks of the Cumberland next to Nissan Stadium.
Santa's Pub is currently closed due to the pandemic because they're a bar and not a restaurant. The owner is not happy.
