Ironman Waco was the single hardest day in my life. It was a 17 hour all out day that tested my mind and body. Swimming in the Brazos river was an incredible experience. The water was perfect and the rolling start gave me time to prepare and plenty of space to start the day. The 112 bike ride through the Texas country side was wonderful. The course was mostly flat with some hills and we did have a few sections of head wind that really made you dig deep. The run had lots of twist and turns that made it diverse and memorable especially the huge hills in the local park. I am so glad I chose Waco, Texas for the location of my first Ironman.
I really enjoyed pushing my filmmaking abilities with this project. In a world of 15 second TicToc Videos I wanted to create a longer form video. I wanted to dive into character development. I wanted this documentary to capture the emotion and mindset I had going into this event. I spent so much time on sound design, music and pacing to really create something that would be watchable for not only Triathletes but for the general public. I hope everyone enjoys what I put together.

Hey Kostas. I signed up for an Ironman in January and fell so in love with it that I ended up buying the PlayTri in Colleyville. I know you shop at the PlayTri in Rockwall. Great video! Fantastic production quality.
That is awesome! What Ironman are you doing?
@@KostasLazanas I did the half in Augusta Georgia in September. The plan is to do a full in Spain in 2023. I’ll do a bunch of sprint and Olympics this next year. As you stated. Finding the amount of time to train is the hard part. Especially running two businesses.
Great video brother
Amazing accomplishment
Thanx soo much! I poured a lot into it. Going to scale back and do Memphis 70.3 this year.
@@KostasLazanas nice.
I’m doing the Melbourne 70.3 in November (my first one)
Brilliant work
Thank you sir. Are you thinking of doing it this year.
I just wish to do it one day, getting myself to run and cycle and lose weight first. But yeah. Eyeing that supreme goal
Muchas feilicidades Kostas, nada como escuchar You are an Ironman... pon en tu lista de deseos el de Cozumel...
We saw each other a lot during the loops in Cameron park. How about Waco 2022? I have some unfinished business with that course!
Looks like I’m headed to Florida!
@@KostasLazanas Other than this year, I have heard a lot of good things about that race. Does that mean your coach is free to follow me around the course on a bike to motivate me?
