This is a fairly recent popular song in Russia, it was originally sung by the duo #2Маши (#2Mashi) so it’s meant to be a duet. Diana got to choose a couple of the songs she sang for this show so she picked this…and then regretted it immensely! She said later that it was vocally very difficult for her and that it was the hardest for her to sing on the whole show

Diana doesn't just have to sing dramatic ballads and constantly demonstrate her unique vocal abilities. This competition shows her versatility with the 9 different songs.
The dancers represent satyrs or fauns (from Greek mythology). These are demons and horned forest spirits, half human half goat, usually depicted with a human torso, goat feet and tail. They are companions of Dionysus, the god of wine, and they indulge in opulence, licentiousness and lust.
We foreigners love this song by Diana. We like the dance melody and don't understand the lyrics, but the Russian friends reject this song and even Diana doesn't like it. The reason is probably the lyrics. (Even in other countries, no one likes to see their country's youth associated with alcohol abuse.)... but it doesn't matter if Diana likes the song or not. When she does something, she does it great and perfectly and we have fun.
The original song has over 223 million views. Where are you from ??? Maybe a lot of people don't take the lyrics too seriously with this dance song...but in the end what counts is what makes me feel Diana. So much energy and zest for life... everyone is dancing and having a great time.What more do you want?
I still hope that Diana will sing this song for us often. It's just fun to dance.

I love how Diana now "hates" this song. Ok not really. More seriously this is a duet originally, it was super complex to sing it alone, dance, breath control, upbeat, all kind of challanges. And she even gave her own touch to it.
Then the first coment the other singers told her "this is an easy song" "but you made it sound good".
Poor Diana worked super hard on this.... ;)
By the way if someone don't know in ShowMaskGoOn 9 singers sings 9 styles 9 songs during 9 episodes and rate each other. So Diana sits with them when others perform.
And this was a great opportunity for the raipidly evolving Diana to try her wings in professional environment again, experience how a complex crew does such productions as an adult, and try her wings with many different styles, explore and expand her abilities further.
The only "critical" comments she trully got during the show were those that tried to inspire her to take every song even further, take the next step in every song, enjoy to try different things, the opportunity. (otherwise they all just loved the talented young adorable honest Diana)

Diana has a number of more upbeat tunes. From The Show Mask Go On there is,- Help Me, The Little Prince, Twist In My Sobriety. From You Are Super - Its A Mans World. Other songs are Into The Sky, City of People In Love are just for a few that come to mind.

The "judges" in this song contest are, as a matter of fact, all professional singers and fellow competitors... Diana won the contest. There were 9 separate TV shows. According to the rules of this song contest the attendants were allowed to choose only one song by their own choice. In Diana's case the song chosen by Diana was "Personal Jesus" by Depeche Mode. The other 8 songs had to be from different genres and they were chosen by the organizer of the TV show.
