Can you imagine her thinking back as that young child knowing that her mother just threw her out in the streets after an unsuccessful trying to drown her, cold, alone and a broken collarbone. She is such a precious gift to all who hear and appreciate her beautiful voice🙏🏼. Wow!
I am serious annoyed when voice coaches feel a need to constantly break up a song to add more or less qualified comments. Truth be told, you are the only person reacting to Diana who do not detract from her performance but actually enhance it. I learn so much more from you than most other vocal coaches.
They have to break it up sometimes due to copyright issues. Not sure about liver performances, but definitely some videos.
The story of 'Blizzard' ... it's about a girl who asks for the snow to cover (bury) her and her house because the one she loves is gone. That's why she's expressing sadness here. (And, boy, is she *good* at it!)

"She channels this energy and draws it all in", "she can naturally express it with so much intensity on stage". That is a very nice and analytic way to put it. My thought would be that almost all of Diana Ankudinovas's performances are more like a controlled explosion, like the kind used to bring down buildings. Once she slips into the character she is playing, she harnesses that character's feelings, emotions, and energy and holds them. Diana then lights a fuse that is timed to go BOOM at the appropriate time!

Вам же медведи с детства по ушам топчут, поэтому для русских все то фуфло, что по ТВ и радио вам там крутят, считается классной музыкой, плохопоющая космонавтка Гагарина, раскрученная Фадеевым через постель, - шикарной певицей, а бубнящий себе под нос нетрадиционной ориентации Цой, какую-то с бессмысленым текстом "Кукушку", считается гением рок музыки. "Любят в России всякое говно!", -- пел в свое время Шнур и был прав, и сам же сочинял такое же гавно. 🤣

Listening to Diana takes me back to my childhood. When I was scared my mother would hold me tight and whisper to me, and then give me words of reassurance. The resonance in her voice was the same as my mothers when my ear pressed against my mother chest. It sounds familar, it takes me back to happier times, I feel safe. This is how Diana affects my soul.

One of the most fearless singers /performers I have ever seen. Confident, committed, and in character while telling a story.
May I add a few comments? I have watched this many times to the conclusion and I can add what some of the judges said. The one who buzzed first said he had goosebumps for most of the song and he said what was so marvellous was how Diana allows the sounds, every note and nuance, to emanate from her body with such emotion - he concluded that she was there so that others like him who know something of the "business" might actually learn from her as they offer to help her and that she is, indeed, not of this planet, The blonde woman, Diana Arbenina, herself a well known artist was struck , for a while, not knowing exactly where she was; that Diana's gift is truly God-given, She further wondered how a 15 year old could give such a performance such that she, who is over 40, would experience the same emotions from the song as Diana herself clearly was doing. As for your comments about Yolka, another singer, she was saying "where is it (the sound) coming from? But, yes definitely from the heart!! Thank you again for an insightful reaction - I await each one with keen anticipation.

I am not sure single is the correct way to put that into English - my comprehension (from the Russian) is that she is alone ( because of the без тебя)- that does not necessarily imply being single, just alone and lonely. The translation of the song is great (I am a Russian speaking Englishman) but, please, as I always teach my students - articles and tenses! But yes, the translation covers the emotion of this song quite beautifully.
