Uhh yeah. I know you ballbags think russias claims can be trusted, but russias inflation in sky high, their exports are low, the only export they are making money off is oil and they are forced to sell that at a discounted rate, they are struggling to get imports which are at inflated prices due to the drop in value of the Ruble, and many of their industries are suffering as a result. Lets look at aviation. In the last year, several airliners have had to ditch in fields because of mechanical issues stemming from lack of maintenance and spare parts. They were quickly cut up to cover up the evidence.
This is not evidence of a thriving economy. This is not sustainable. Russias economy is now isolated and dependent on selling discounted oil to places like china and india.
At best they will get permanent contraction. Artificially propping up the ruble is not a long term solution.
