  • "Black people don't perpetuate reverse racism. It's something that white people made up in their head to paint themselves as victims when they want to dismantle the arguments of racism." Michael Harriot uses historical fact to explain why "reverse racism" simply isn't a thing. theGrio Daily is an original podcast by theGrio Black Podcast Network. #blackcultureamplified

How many times do I have to say it and when are we actually going to get it? Racism was not meant for just one set of people, there's no such thing as Reverse Racism! that term was invented because certain people don't think that they should be discriminated against based on race.. it was meant just for us, as it were!

The reason why a lot of YT people dont like to acknowledge systemic racism is because, if they did, then they would then have to ask themselves why they haven't succeeded with all of these benefits. This is why I believe they love to ascribe DEI or Affirmative Action as the reason why black people succeed. I have 2 ultra MAGA guys in my class, and they are the laziest and the worst. They cant pass a test, but will complain to the head instructor until they are passed. But they love to complain about DEI and "participation trophies".

We need to stop equating racism with prejudice. As a Black woman I can hate people of other races, I can even call them names. None of that is going to keep them from banking, living where they want, getting a quality education, wearing their hair the way it grew out of their heads, the list could go on. However a certain group of people got together and made those things difficult if not impossible for people who look like me. Racism is system. Just like all the other isms 🤷🏾‍♀️. What system of power, influence over laws or anything else do African-Americans have?

Brilliant. So much here to unpack. I especially like the insight about black folks consistently supporting tv and other media programs with white actors and themes, but not the otner way around. After all these years I still lament the loss of Michel Martin's PBS African-American centered radio program Tell Me More that ran from 2008 to 2014. It was a remarkable show that I listed to on the drive home from work on Clark Atlanta University's WCLK radio station. It was eventually cancelled with the implication it did not have enough viewership. I suspect white viewers. Although Ms. Martin continues to do great hosting work on other PBS programs her brilliance as a journalist has never shined as brightly as it did then. What a loss.

"There can never be another "Black Messiah..." -J. E. Hoover
      COUNTERINTELLIGENCE PROGRAM (COINTELPRO)
      BLACK NATIONALIST - HATE GROUPS
      RACIAL INTELLIGENCE
      March 4, 1968
      Goals of COINTELPRO
      1. Prevent the COALITION of militant black nationalist groups.
      2. Prevent the RISE OF A “MESSIAH” who could unify and electrify the militant black nationalist movement.
      3. Prevent VIOLENCE on the part of black nationalist groups. This is of primary importance, and is, of course, a goal of our investigative activity; it should also be a goal of the Counterintelligence Program to pinpoint potential troublemakers and neutralize them before they exercise their potential for violence
      4. Prevent militant black nationalist groups and leaders from gaining RESPECTABILITY, by discrediting them to three separate segments of the community.
      First, the responsible Negro community.
Second, they must be discredited to the white community, both the responsible community and to "liberals" who have vestiges of sympathy for militant black nationalist simply because they are Negroes.
Third, these groups must be discredited in the eyes of Negro radicals, the followers of the movement.
***Strong Black Love IS revolutionary...hence the black gender wars, the black homosexual campaign, thug life, and the "Our Kind of People" mentalities/characters.
All socially engineered by "white" people dedicated to the support, practice, and defense of racism/white supremacy.
      5. A final goal should be to prevent the long-range GROWTH of militant black organizations, especially among youth.
This strategy has been in place and actuated for almost 60 years...using various forms of media and technology to modify the behaviors of people classified as "Black".
The current state of "Black" community consciousness is not by mistake, happenstance, or absence of moral character.
They was made that way by scientists in university and corporate backed think thanks. (See "They cloned Tyrone").
Operation Mocking Bird, MK Ultra, mind control tactics.

      Got it...
Question...Which people have access to "everything?"
Who did they get it from?
      Did they create "everything" themselves?
Please share...what did "white" people think up and do themselves that no one had ever done before?
If "white" people can "think" to solve their problems without being handed everything and non-white people are expecting to be handed everything without thinking on how to solve the problem themselves, does that condition prove that "white"-like thinking is superior to "non-white"-like thinking?
How did "non-white" people become so inept at problem solving?
Who gives "non-white" people the language and logic to think and solve problems?
Do "Non-white" people create curriculums to teach "non-white" people how to think or....are curriculums developed by people who identify as/with being "white"?
What would be the advantage to "white" people if they taught "non-white" people how to think and solve problems?
Beer, balloons, and booty shaking...current "black" culture, can be replaced with bathometer, boolean, and a-biogenesis.
      Which do you prefer?

@@waynenash6008 racism again is a behavior. Our government and many governments have rules and regulations that come from racist ideology. Our electoral college is a system build from the trafficking and holding human beings. I consider the institutions of slavery racist. The US constitution says a group of humans are not considered whole humans. It says it still today. I dont live in Britain however the royalty still have resources and artifacts stolen from countries in Africa. Some of my ancestors bones and body parts r on display in museums in Britain. Any African countries got European bones on display?
I am a 70 year old American female who is Black. Your attempt to make me think that this world is not against black people is waste of your time because i have lived 70 years in a country that hates me because i am female and i am black and shows me that everyday. So your short sighted comment does not pass the “my freaking get back you black bitch life” test.
So yes no matter where you come from you can uphold racist ideology. Even racism against those who look like you. That is the most diabolical part of systemic racism you can make folks hate themselves and take up the habits that are against their own existence.
