When my mother passed from liver failure, I had worked as EMT and during passing as certified pharmacy technician. I convinced myself I won't get addicted being knowledgeable. Good facts dude, wonderful job!!

I'm 50 and everything you are saying is me, always has been me. This explains so much I have to explore this thank you for the insight. Subscribed ♡
Oh my god my man... You actually make me vibrate so much with all these concepts.
At times the compulsivity makes me paranoid about if I'm liked or not and hearing It from you makes me closer to find the best solution.
You finally gave me the stuff I was searching for about my problems, thanks man.
“A calling to us.” That hit me
Yes. ADHD people are low in dopamine in the frontal lobes so they are prone to different forms of addiction.
You may have noticed teenage girls who are addicted to drama are often ADHD. LOTS of teen boys get in to fast moving dangerous sports like dirt biking or cliff jumping. Chasing the dopamine hit can be behaviours, as well as drugs. If someone is ADHD plus they feel shame, and maybe have learning disabilities, then you have a recipe for disaster.
Interesting! Alot also has to do with diet.
Interesting. In my experience I think it's upwards of 100% of the folks I've spoken to that meth was their DOC. Actually, everything you said here was all the reasons that caused me to have a wake up call and open my mind to the option of MAT for my son. I would hate if he fell into that pattern from struggling to regulate himself because my beliefs made me unwilling to medicate my kid. It all makes so much sense, but none of it would have ever dawned on me if it weren't for amazing people in recovery being open about sharing the details of their experience with me. Thank you for your content.

What were you taking? How your feeling?
Opioids do increase dopamine by 300-400%, similarly to cocaine, but obviously it depends on the opioid you took, the route of administration and stuff like that, but they do increase dopamine a lot, heroin obviously the most
I never heard of it until I was in my 30s and even then I wasn't sure what it was by the time I realized I was already using and eveyone thought i was just making it up to get drugs😢
