Opal miners who live underground and invent stuff

In Coober Pedy amidst the wild northern desert of South Australia live a band of opal miners who not only share their passion for opals but share a home as well. But this is not your suburban dream home, this is a an underground dugout. Its close quarters and tempers can run high.

Gday Pommy John, hope you remember me from your days of offshore drilling in Vic. We worked together on the drill ship Southern Cross. I see you are still drilling holes! Great video mate, very entertaining.
I finished drilling oil wells and ended up as a school teacher in the Mallee. A long way from the offshore oil fields mate.
