I have a 94, been working on close to a year now. I put a new transmission in it, new clutch, rhino lined the inside, put rear corner guards on, rocker guards, front winch bumper with led lights built in, bought a Rough Country Winch, put a brand new ac unit in it, Bought some EAG longer Rear Corner Guards, the other day, bought some Pro Comp Black Rims, going to get rid of the chrome. Put new shifter knobs on it, new hood latches, light bezels, euro front guards, new bikini top.Man! I did not realize I have put so much stuff in it. It has a 4 cyl with 410 gears. I only added a Cold Air Intake to give it a little increase if any in HP.
That build looks like a real Jeep.. todays builds everyone wants to build them looking like Radio Control Toys from Toys R Us and adding more complexity to it.. that Jeep is how i would build it too, with everything stock LS with clutch fan it looks like old-school hot rod mixed with modern ect ect...
Totally relate to the bikini top. GREAT idea to customize it. I have NEVER been able to figure out why the big name brands can't figure this out; they ALWAYS are flapping in the wind and causing noise; and the COST a shit ton of money.
Nice, I'm on 3ird set of Truxus mud terrain 37 x 12.50 x15inch tires, 37 x 15s are still out there thanks to Interco. 93 yj, 4.7 stroker, NC 4500, atlas 4 speed, pro rock 60s front and rear, arms, 4.88 gears, msd ignition, still my daily driver. Paint's bad, but so is my jeep. Try youtube, Wes drives over a car". Love your work. Great jeep , mine is Cal jeep too. All smog legal. Love that fuel tank.
Can I do an Ls swap and use the same transmission because o want to keep it manual might sound like a stupid question to a lot of people but I’m not very familiar with the subject

Man I’d love to build my YJ like that. The only thing I didn’t understand the need for is the torque rod in the back. What’s the purpose of it?
It is important for many reasons. The main reason is to prevent axle wrap.
