So, I've already thought of at least two watercolor sets I forgot to include in this video - my 12 color Arteza set and my 36 color Kuretake Gansai Tambi set. oops. xD♥
arleebean where do you think the best place is to order from? Im very interested in buying some more painta but they are expensive.
This is not related and I know it might sound dumb af but I'm going to ask because I really don't know
To buy Matheuz book, the one with the Japanese houses and shops you have to do so on Amazon Japan, do I have to create a new account or I can log in with my existing account, the one from Amazon US?
If so, will my gift card be available to use? How much does the book cost in US dollars? I'm really interested in that along with other item that is not available on Amazon US
Lethy Guaimare Mateusz has a link in the description of his videos where he talks about the making of the books - it’s a tutorial on how to buy things from Amazon Japan. You do have to create a new account (you can use the same email as your regular Amazon account), and I’m not sure about the gift card. If I can find the link, I’ll share it here. :]

Ohh, I love the Gansai Tambi watercolors. They’re my favorite that I’ve tried so far.
I imagine that since you have so many palettes and would probably not use up all of them, one of your grandchildren will become an artist and discover them and do one of those “vintage pallets I found”videos 😅😅
Anh Huỳnh Kim Nguyễn not to mention they’ll probably still work
I was thinking the same. I am wanting to get into watercolors because my 9 year old loves to paint. He took an art class this year while doing homeschool and it touched on watercolors. He loved it! So I bought some paint for myself and we are planning to do some online series together. As a die hard knitter I could not get either of my boys to join in fiber arts but this will be a great way for me and the wee one to have one on one time... The oldest and I share a deep love for video games. lol I wish he was more artsy but he is more technology. lol
@@YarnieKim aw that's so cute! Now you can both paint together. I hope you enjoy it I've loved painting with watercolour.
@@YarnieKim that's actually so sweet! A lot of parents don't really encourage their young ones to keep taking up art so this is such a nice comment to see 🥺💕
@@YarnieKim you sound so cool
I audibly gasped when you opened the Senelier set
Robin Tynan same!!!
This might be a weird comment, but seeing you talk and play with your kids reminds me so much of my own mom, how kind and playful she was. It gave me warm fuzzies, you're great.

Her son: I HAVE A KEY!
If you recognize a set of pans from a watercolor set completely out of context and in another palette than the one they came in (e.g. your Primas), you (meaning I) might have a watercolor additional problem 😂 Thanks for showing off your collection for us junkies :)
I'm so intrigued by your new favsies!
You admit your addiction then immediately seem interested in buying more ! Intrigued by favsies! Lol that really proves your addiction doesn’t it!
LOL!!! I was actually wondering if anyone would immediately recognize them outside of their tin. ♥♥
After a decade of painting acrylics I have now focused on my first love, watercolor!
And I am blown away at how obsessed we all are with the paints, the tins, the wells etc! It is so much fun. So far I have my first set which is mixed, DS, WN and whatever I found in the color I wanted. Now I have several great tins including Schemincke, Mission Gold and a couple others! What fun! What a beautiful hobby! A grand obsession to be sure!
I just found your channel and I've fallen in love with it! not only for the art, but because of your relaxed and patient personality! Thank you for sharing your watercolor knowledge with us!
the baylee jay of watercolors
dasha 😂😂😂 yeahh
LOL!! That is a phenomenal comparison. That girl LOVES her markers.
AND I WAS THINKING I HAD A PROBLEM WITH HOW MANY WATERCOLORS I OWN
I have been lately BOWLED OVER by how amazing Rembrandt water colors are! I can't believe I am loving them more than my Daniel Smith watercolors. They are way stronger (yes, if you thought DS are the strongest, think again), potent, beautiful, rewet easier and just exponentially more vibrant on paper. I have already converted to their Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Deep and Cobalt Blue (the strongest and cleanest cobalt blue I have used, and I have used every artist brand pretty much there is). Just loving them!
Ladyblush5 I totally agree with the vibrancy and the easiness of the Rembrandt watercolors when it comes to rewetting them! They are amazing! I have not tested any other professional grade watercolors though. So I am not able to compare.
Ah, that's a brand I haven't tried yet!! They sound lovely.
Rembrandt watercolours make watercolourists fall in love!♡
16:15 I HAVE SOME OF THOSE!!! i got them from my grandmother after she passed away
(Its okay, i had my grief in 2012, and I'm okay now)
My broke ass can't relate.
Sem! :')
This has so little to do with Art.

@@peterdavidasige8073 true, but in the title it doesn't say anything about art content...
🙄 digital artists not knowing were art actually came from
That's a whole lot of paint lol.
Seeing all your paints makes me feel better! I have so many homemade palettes and tubes of paints by W&N, Daniel Smith, Sennelier, Holbein, Schmincke. You have the same addiction I have! Love my watercolors!
IT'S WAY MORE THAN I EXPECTED LMAO
i'm afraid i am going this way, too. i started using watercolors with a Sakura Koi 18 colors set, i kinda liked it but i was getting frustrated because of the quality.... and then 6 month later (i think) i bought some tubes from Van Gogh and before they even arrive i got some White nights pans "just to try 'em out", and i'm thinking about getting a few more colors just to "add more" to my collection so "i had more options"
in a few years i will probably be like you.
I started out with the Sakura Koi set too! It's a nice place to get started, but I definitely moved on from it too. :] I ended up giving mine to a friend who was learning watercolors.
Hi, Arleebean, I really enjoyed your video about all your watercolors. I haven’t been to this channel before, so nice meeting you. You’ll probably hear from me again. I haven’t done WC for a long time and have much to learn. It’ll be good for me to have art work that requires less space, as acrylics and (definitely) art quitting take up a lot of room and hauling around. WC on the other hand - even allowing for this video - takes less space, but requires, I think, more skill. Congratulations for your channel and being able to show us all those lovely sets and pallets.
Wow Arlee! You’ve got lots! I was wondering, at some point can you make a video talking about how you choose which Daniel Smith colors to buy, and which specific colors you’d recommend to someone making a small palette? Daniel Smith has such a large selection! It’s hard to know where I should look first!
Seconded! I'd love a video like that too!!
Personally I've found playing with their dot cards extremely helpful in choosing my Daniel Smith paints considering how expensive they are. Hope that helps!
Your videos are always so nice and help me calm down when I have random anxiety attacks. However you do also feed my urge to buy more nicer paints that I've been trying to resist xD
I'm so glad you find my videos calming. ♥♥ I totally sympathize with the anxiety struggles also. I take not responsibility for any money spent on paint purchases. xD Ok... maybe just a little.
I am so glad I am not the only one creating palates and buying lots of paint!
Love how calm your videos are!
The addition of your family in this video was so charming and fun, and your paint archive is beautiful! Thanks for sharing this video.
This...is one of the best art related videos I have ever seen. Wow.
Im with you on the not needing all that paint and yet enjoying the process of testing and playing with them
Just as a note, White Knights watercolors can be purchased at Jacksons Art in the UK. I live in the states but order from Jacksons regularly and their delivery is usually within a week.
I have that 12 half-pan cotman set, and since it's my main travel set, I've taken the liberty of putting a small square of double-stick tape on the bottom of each of the pans so they wouldn't fall out, and for the paint blocks that were falling out of the pans I wet the bottom and sides a bit and let it dry; now everything stays like a charm.
I love how more and more artists are making more watercolor collections :,)
Your watercolor collection is amazing. I have White Nights set and I love working with them even though I still need to practice to be more comfortable with watercolors in general.
Yesterday I received your art print and I have to say it looks even better in 'life' than on the screen. I love love love it. Oh, it's so beautiful. And I could say it was packed very precisely and carefully. Just need to find a nice spot for it on my wall. Wish all the best to you and your family.
One of the most satisfying things as a watercolour artist for me personally is collecting a bunch of watercolours and going through them to pick the right colours. Just going through them makes me relaxed lol.
I love your kids ❤❤
Right when you pulled out the ShinHan I was like, oh my God I use those paints too!!! Love your videos
I love how all my art youtube channels know and support each other🤗💖
I hope you're enjoying the white nights paints! I got a set (24 pans) a few months back and didn't use it much but since I put them in a smaller set and narrowed the colours down to 12 I can't stop using them! It took a bit of time to get used to the ratio water/paint though since they're a little more opaque than most of my other paints.
Awesome video!
Thank you so much.
Your kids are cool beans.❤️
Love that huge box for watercolors in tubes. I need it in my life.
I literally do not know how you go about picking your colors when you have so many! I would be sooo confused with the overload!
Lol, i would probably have more colors to work with XD
My jaw literally dropped when i saw your sennelier watercolors omg
Hi !😄 awesome video as always ! I love see people´s watercolor set 😍 And your collection is so beatiful !
As a related note I finally got a decent burnt sienna. The Van Gough burnt sienna. I do not recommend the cotman. Blorch. I also thought the other two I got were to brown and dark not quite reddish enough. Dr.ph . Martins hydrus liquid concentrated ( but I love the hydrus in general just not the exact tone of the burnt sienna) and I forget the other brand but it was also too dark brown not reddish enough for me. Burnt sienna really changes colours a bit based on how it is prepared! Nice video for looking at options just for those of us who obsessively love art supplies! Thanks. Oh yeah I just got some sennelier from a very affordable test pack! They are amazing! Thanks great video!
They all look so amazing, which ones are you using most and are the most happy about?
Wooooow!!! I love seeing art collections! So beautifulllllllll omg. Hey p.s. can you do a video on the old watercolor paints you inherited from your father in law?
I just ordered M Graham's Jewel tone Set- been wanting it forever, having only tried their gouache, and having Sennelier, White Nights, and Renesans Hand made from Poland-all made with honey, I decided with watching Angela Fehr and Buying the Escoda Rigger #10 she loves so much, I am off and running again. I am a beginner but am definitely loving trying all the different brands, (cut way back) LOL. Thanks for showing all your colors! Really fun to watch!
I'm really excited for the white nights review!
And qor too! Yay
Oh my gosh! That Sennelier box. That's the kind of stuff I dream about.
Hi Arleebean! I ido really enjoy your tutorials, I have the 12 finetec pearlescent colors palette, the 45 winsor and newton set, the 24reeves colors set, the winsor and newton cotman set and i bought it just for the metallic brush so i turned into the watercolor pastel dreams collection mixing all my colors to achieve the same range of colors and it came pretty similar jejje that´s all my watercolor collection, greetings from Buenos Aires!
Oh Arlee! :D I think that I had to watch these video at least three times jut to keep a eye on your pallets and paint brands that you mixed. And I need to see it at least more fore times to keep count on stickers;D Nice video, love your introduction in paints. Thank you for sharing your collection :D
That huge Sennelier set! 😮🤗🤗😍😍
so many colors! im in heaven
I was so happy to see I’m not the only hoarder🥰😌😘❤️🔥🙏🏻
😮 wow! I hope i could own one of these brands in the future! I'm a beginner in using watercolors and i'm enjoying every moment experimenting! I just bought my first ever set of watercolors but a bit hesitant in using it so much sometimes 'cause i'm afraid i might finish them all. Lol. 😂 it's just that i can't afford to buy another set yet! Gotta work my ass out to buy a beautiful set in the future and make more projects! You inspire me! 😍😍😍
I just bought a 48 half pan tin becuase even though I only haf 24-ish watercolor colors I know I will end up needing more space to put the new ones I'll buy to try different brands
Your children are a blessing omg❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! This is an awesome collection!
Have you tried either the Blick or Utrecht brands in watercolor or gouache? I have used the heavy body acrylics and absolutely love them though I can't compare to other brands as I've never used any others aside from apple barrel acrylics, which I still use and love.
That ending was the cutest thing
I love these kinds of videos, thanks for sharing!! Now I'd also love a video with your favourite colours :D I love your collection. I prefer to mix and match my brands - while I don't have many (yet), I prefer to have different palettes for different things/feelings. I'm not explaining myself well, but maybe I'll have a "warmer" palette, and one that is more for painting humans. I plan to get a big palette for my desk, but mainly prefer to have smaller palettes I can use on the couch and also I like the "limited" palette with not as many colours so that I really get to know those colours. This way feels more natural to me than to sort by brands.
My watercolor i have them from 25 years and still nice to use the watercolor dont became damaged overtime but my acrylic tubes became bad now like a stone i cannot use them anymore
Wow so many pallets , I have many too but I do use them all(well most of them)
I've got that same toy dinosaur in my goldfish's tank! It's cool that you let your kids paint too. I think one of the reasons i've taken to it myself is that my ma let me paint when I was little.
My lord I now want to buy different watercolor just to make palettes out of them. I''m always so tempted but then I remember how broke I am. I already have the mijello mission gold in the 36 set but I want to explore Daniel smith, sennelier, Holbein m.graham. I tried m.graham' gouache and Holbein acryla gouache and it's magical, I also once had winsor and newton 12 set watercolor but when I upgraded I gave it away. dumd idea...
How do you keep track which brand is which? And what best brand(s) do you favor most? If you were starting anew with all your knowledge what would you do for a set up?
This video made me just as happy as I thought it would 😂 Thank you
That is quite a collection you have there. How long on average does it take you to use up a tube? Or have you yet? What colours do you use up the fastest?
I'm currently under a self-imposed paint buying ban after I filled up a 40 half pan tin with different colours. Then I discovered that M. Graham gouache is my jam and splurged on 16 tubes....oops :)
I've only completely used up one tube so far, and it was a 5 ml tube of Daniel Smith's quinacridone gold. I LOVE that color.
We've definitely already talked about our love of Dragon Age on Instagram but I just squealed when I saw Solas and Cole on your big custom palette. ^^
Mainly use DS, W&N pro, Schminke and just started to dabble in QoR (cos Jenny Granberry swears by them) and Holbein. Going to have to try some Sennelier in the near future but it's just my hobby so no claiming for business expenses here unfortunately. They make me very happy though 😁
I'm just getting started so I only have 2 small sets. One is in tube and I would like to find a case/pallet to squeeze them into. Where do you get those little half pans?
Omg....aaaaaall those paints!! Severely jealous over here! :-)
aww, your kids are so sweet xx
I have the same toy dinosaur XD omg
What colors did you pull into your own personal Holbein set? Just curious, they’re my personal fav!
Sweet that you stopped & listened to your child. Good for you! Btw I thought I had a lot of paint!
youre like a pokemon professor with all these different pallets! some teeny weenie, others huuuge!
I love your Dragon Age stickers. I wish I had the cash to buy as many as you have!
Omg yessss I’m going to watch this 300 times now 😂
Love seeing all your wonderful watercolors! I have to ask, I noticed on the palettes I sent you, you had several missing, did they fall out?
Oh, they didn't fall out! I just moved my favorites into a different palette for easy use. I think I moved 22 total. :] They're all safe and sound!
Oh phew! That's good to know :) Glad you like so many of them :D
Amazing I only have a sample of Daniel Smith that I have been using for 6 month and it is almost gone. Dawney Rooney Simple, which I am confused with, because it should not exist, even kids want nothing to do with them!!! So my only paints are prang 8, I like them ok, I wish they have more pigment in them!
wow, your kids sound so smart, I have never heard a kid describe how they had to focus to solve a problem like that before. The kids I've met usually just get upset and cry till I fix the problem.
I know this has nothing to do with paint, but, I thought it was worth noting.
Aww, thank you! My little ones always amaze and impress me. I'm extremely grateful that I get to work from home and spend so much time with them.
Your kids are adorable, I love the ending! Lets go
How did you take the paint out of the half pans? I’ve been trying to do that to mine.
Help! My paints literally fall out of the white plastic palette I use. I have several so it’s not a huge problem, I can use the others but I don’t want to waste it, and it’s hard because it’s meant to be closed and I can’t close it or take it anywhere, do I have to just use it more or...? They’re the same palettes that you got from ottocano (spelling??)
great to see amazing videos from you, I am a lecturer in product design in singapore and jewelry since i don't find any workshop or videos about jewelry sketching would be great to know if someone know anyone in youtube that dedicates himself to that
Your kids are so sweet!!! That was precious lol :) I really enjoyed this video! So many paaaaints! Will you do gouache next? :)
Woow that's alot of Watercolours!
Your Cotman sketchers pocket set... try sticking a tiny ball of "blue tack" in each well and press the pan down... also add a few drops of water to each pan (down the side of the cake) It will stick it all together - no more fall outs! - I do like those Loew Cornell palettes of yours, they look well made. We can't get them here in the uk, only the cheap Reeves Palette - I can get those for as low as £2.50 but they're a bit flimsy and the hinge is always breaking. If you need to re-order any more white night paints, try Jacksons art supplies UK they will ship to the US in about 4 days and the shipping is quite cheap compared with US-UK.
Ah yes, I heard about White Nights from Jackson's AFTER I placed my order on ebay! lol
Are metallic paints considered archival/professional quality? Good lightfastness and all of that? I’m basically wondering if they’d be fine for professional pieces that you’d sell.
Thanks! :)
I’m a broke college student, so I’ve been using the same student art kit set of watercolors for the past 10 years lol. It works well. I don’t use it as often as I used to, because I paint with oils now, but I might buy a better student set when I’m not broke lmao.
7:08 what are the channels of the illustraitors who made these stickers? I wasn't able to catch their names
I'll add them to the description! Thanks for asking ♥♥
7:40 made me smile hahaah. I loved this video :)
when you pulled that sennelier box, it looked like your hands had suddenly shrunk ! 😂
All of these palettes are so beautiful! I can't wait to start getting into water colours. I'm thinking of picking up a Kuretake set. :D
I really love your video ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh i' m perfectly happy with my 15 colors and a white gouache. :)
I love the video
I am so jealous right now!
This was awesome 😎 really enjoyed you wonderland world with your 👶 :::::: I am acutely a sculptor and I make fairies and trolls .... my grand kiddies love my love of wonderland 😀so now I am taking on paint and I am finding painting very different to my trolls and head of the forest “ Pan” so enjoy your kiddies while they young , I am now trying hard to paint and what to make ..... find sculptures very normal and easy ... paint is another story 🤔
Your children are so adorable. 😁
Could you try Reeve's gouache. I find it very tricky > x
I've been thinking to do a similar video. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who has to have all of the things ^_^
Do you know where I could get the palette your father in law used?
make a video like this for your gouaches too, please ♡
What is that lilac color in the bottom left of the porcelain Daniel smith palette? I’ve been looking for a color like that forever!
It’s called Wisteria! It’s a really pretty pastel purple, but is pretty opaque! I just checked the tube, and it’s made from two pigments - titanium white and quinacridone magenta. :]
arleebean thanks so much! It sounds perfect for my needs!
