I feel sorry for both of these animals. Orangutans are very chill and a young one can't handle the rough play from a larger chimp. Also chimpanzees are very social animals and having it chained up that way has left him desperate for attention.
The chimp is hurting rather than playing. You can see the keepers don't know how to take care of the animals. The chimp is chained and it felt unloved and jealous seeing the orangutan in the keeper's arms. Thus, trying to snatch the orangutan away and hurt it.
I wouldn't say harming the orangutan. But chimpanzees are rough when they do play, and orangutans comfort each others as babies. Two and two don't work out so well

With puppies, and baby tigers, dogs, they are NOT treating that chimpanzee correctly which will end up being a full grown chimpanzee that can carry 500 lbs under each arm, that's going to end up killing a human being from being mistreated. I believe that they do read some of them because they have a lot of videos here on youtube and I've found that many of them have the "comments blocked." I suspect the ones with blocked comments are the one's that have had a lot of negative responses. Letting that nasty chimp brutalize and terrorize that baby orangutan is outrageous and abusive. They may call themselves a "zoo" but they're really just a stationary side show that doesn't know how to take care of animals and doesn't care that they don't. With Chimps and orangutans being on the endangered species lists and protect by the U.N. CITIES treaty I have to wonder WHERE and HOW they got all those baby chimps and that orangutan?
This entire zoo is an abomination. And putting an infant orangutan with an adult chimp is criminal. They are never supposed to interact - they’re from different parts of the planet to begin with...and adult chimps are far too rough for a baby orangutan. I don’t like the abuse I see in this video. But I will say this is one of the few videos where you see an orangutan and chimpanzee interact and socialize with each other. Before this, the only time I saw a chimpanzee with an orangutan was in Planet of the Apes, and those were from CGI.
This is SICK! First of all, these animals should be free. How can this place be demolished? They are making money off the slavery of chimps. I saw one video where the keeper (female) was hitting on him so hard he was trying to get away, but couldn't because of the short chain. I am so upset with this treatment of our animals.
This is animal abuse. Orangutans infants are babies they are not aggressive towards each other or anyone else. They stay on their mothers for 8 years. Chimpanzee are very aggressive and the infant orangutan just wanted to hug for comfort. But the chimp was jealous of the orangutan and the chimp being chained up is totally horrific. Both primates are social animals. But growing up in isolation chained to the floor. Will have long term physiological damage for these primates. Both are traumatized from losing their mothers. But they look depressed and in distress. And in need of affection.
This is so so sad, so not normal for these poor animals. Breaks my heart.

With Chimps and orangutans being on the endangered species lists and protect by the U.N. CITIES treaty I have to wonder WHERE and HOW they got all those baby chimps and that orangutan?

This entire zoo is an abomination. And putting an infant orangutan with an adult chimp is criminal. They are never supposed to interact - they’re from different parts of the planet to begin with...and adult chimps are far too rough for a baby orangutan. I wish there was an agency that could rescue every animal in this “zoo”.

I don’t like the abuse I see in this video. But I will say this is one of the few videos where you see an orangutan and chimpanzee interact and socialize with each other. Before this, the only time I saw a chimpanzee with an orangutan was in Planet of the Apes, and those were from CGI.

This is SICK! First of all, these animals should be free. These poor animals are dressed up, and put in cages, or chained to the ground, then they’re paraded around for the public, all so these animal abusers can make a dollar... SICK! Second of all, that young chimp was being aggressive, she raised her hand to it. That poor baby orangutan was crying, and she did NOTHING to help it. I truly hope that this place is shut down!!!

How can this place be demolished? They are making money off the slavery of chimps. I saw one video where the keeper (female) was hitting on him so hard he was trying to get away, but couldn't because of the short chain. I am so upset with this treatment of our animals.

This is animal abuse. Orangutans infants are babies they are not aggressive towards each other or anyone else. They stay on their mothers for 8 years. Chimpanzee are very aggressive and the infant orangutan just wanted to hug for comfort. But the chimp was jealous of the orangutan and the chimp being chained up is totally horrific. Both primates are social animals. But growing up in isolation chained to the floor. Will have long term physiological damage for these primates. Both are traumatized from losing their mothers. But they look depressed and in distress. And in need of affection.
Orangutans are not social primates.
