This dude in my opinion was the best kid actor of all time.. His performance in T2 is beyond incredible, he should've won an oscar. His range from being a badazz teen, the coolest of cool.. to super angry, and bratty.. to super relatable, and emotional... to being extremely funny, with one liners. He had it all.. and arguably has more iconic lines in that film than Arnold, and that's saying something being Arnold is the king of one liners.... "I ORDER YOU NOT TO GO!"

@@dannyfernendogautreau1713 It was "alright"? Not oscar worthy, but his performance in AHX was? lol Totally disagree brother.. it was way better than "alright"
I agree he was phenomenal in AHX.. and deserved recognition.. but his performance as a 13 year old actor in one of the biggest sci-fi films ever for his first role in a film is nothing short of legendary in T2. He made the character iconic, lovable, heartfelt, memorable, he outshines Arnold/Linda Hamilton in many ways. So many kids would've been forgettable, or cringe. He was near perfection imo.
Just cause it's a sci-fi film about time travel, robots, and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger doesn't mean his performance shouldn't be appreciated like that one of a very serious controversial topic film like AHX where you expect to be praised at the OSCARS (overrated pretentious crap). Again great performance in AHX, but his performance as John Connor is way better imo.

It's funny imagining a 6 year old watching such a scary, violent, deep, and complex movie nowadays, but we grew up different in the 80s and 90s. Hell, they marketed T2 action figures to is kids and Arnold Schwarzenegger toys in general whixh is largely how he became my favorite actor. And Terminator, T2, Kindergarten Cop, and True Lies were my favorite movies growing up from ages probably 5-10. And then the music was even more "adult," as my first favorite bands/music aside from all the Classic rock absorbed from always listening to the classic rock stations in the car with my dad (bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zep, The Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Van Morrison, The Who, Skynyrd, Clapton, Credence, etc.), and then from my mom always listening to R&B and Soul bands/singers Al Green, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, War, Earth Wind & Fire, The Chi-Lites, O-Jays, and so on. Anyhow, aside from them, from my older brothers and being raised by 90s MTV, I came to love all the alternative/grunge/hip-hop beginning with Faith No More, Metallica, and Red Hot Chili Peppers (Under the Bridge is the first music video i remember watching at age 5 or 6 and loving to this day), and then I came to love Soundgarden and Alice in Chains (my two favorite bands to this day), and then finally when i first heard Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in 92-93 as a 6 or 7 year old I fell in love with rap-hip-hop, and while i still like and respect hip-hop (90s rap and "underground" stuff from the last 20 years), I feel like it's too negatice and too much complaining and too immature and adolescent amgst anger and rage for me as a 38 year old to listen to as i just havent found it enjouable or relateable to listen to for several years now.
Anyhow, i digress. My point is, back in the 80s and 90s it didnt seem odd for kids to watch rated r movies, violent movies, horror movies and such, just as it wasnt odd to listen to music which spoke about drug addiction, depression, death, suicide, and as for rap, selling drugs, sex, disrespecting women, and all kinds of pointless crime, violence and murder. But i also think it helped me grow and mature as a person.

I met Edward Furlong at Rhode Island Comic-Con last year. I was wearing a two-piece Avatar: The Last Airbender sweatshirt and sweatpants. It was pretty late in the day, so I think I was the second person to come up to him after he returned from a photo shoot with Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton. We shook hands and I greeted him and he was really friendly. He also seemed kinda tired, but that was probably because he was taking photos with fans the whole day. I picked out a picture of him off the table for him to autograph and I told him I wanted him to write to me "Chill Out, Dickwad." He wrote it with a dark grey pen and handed it back to me. I noticed that he got one of the letters in my name wrong and he actually offered to redo it, this time with a gold pen so it didn't blend in so much. I emptied the rest of my wallet out for him and thanked him with a salute. So glad he's doing better. I want to become a writer after graduating from college and I hope to get into the movie making business. If I ever do, I'd love for the chance to get to work with Edward. Stay positive man. 👍

When they let us into the show room, I purposely walked past his seat and as I passed by I leaned in quietly and said , "Hey Ed. We missed you in part 3, man." I saw him reflect on my statement with a bummed out, "Yeah." I then said, "It wasn't the same without you", then he looked up and smiled and said , "Hey, thanks man." And he shook my hand. Never get between an addict and their rock bottom. It’s funny because Steve O said the same thing of how once he got out of rehab and moved to the halfway house he told Dr drew he just wants to live there forever, and was scared to leave. I think he did 3 years at the halfway house. I’ve never carried that cross, but I can empathize how have the regulation, the schedule, and accountability and suddenly being released unto the world.
I’m always in awe of those being able to overcome and clean up. Those who put the work in have such a strong sense of self and there’s no airs. I appreciate that in a human so much!

I don't know if this has ever been said. Robert Patrick, Norman Reedus, and Edward Furlong in a movie as father and sons. Perhaps, a grieving widower can't get over his wife's death, and to help him, his sons set up a roadtrip to revisit places they've been when they were younger. To help their dad heal, and to honor their mom. Maybe they have motorcycles, too. Maybe the sons were driven away after their mother died, and they try to patch things up with Pops after a long time apart, and that old drama resurfaces in the 2nd act, and is resolved in the 3rd. A story about re-bonding, forgiveness, & redemption. I think more stories like that are needed.
