Apparently, he was of the belief he'd be getting a larger role in Terminator: Dark Fate, and I think him getting reduced to face capture probably upset him a bit, because he disappeared for a bit again, and now he's back to looking like he did before the Dark Fate announcement.

I worked on a film called Jimmy and Judy as a production assistant in the early 2000’s. I met Edward on that set and hung out with him and the group of art department/directors/writers one night. He’s a really funny and genuinely humble and friendly person. I really liked being around him. Not because of him being “John Connor” from T2, but just because he was a righteous dude. It was a small indie film, but he treated everyone like an equal. He wasn’t a prima-donna and he didn’t look down on anyone or complain about anything. I look back on that time in my life fondly. If memory serves me, I was with him either the day of or the day before he got arrested for letting lobsters out of their tank at a Meijer in Northern Kentucky lol the director had to bail him out so they could resume filming!
I also met Rachel Bella on that set. She was super sweet and kind to everyone as well.
Thanks for the interview! And Edward, if you see this, I hope all is well my friend. I am glad to hear you’re off the junk. I’ve been clean for almost 5 years. Take care my dude.

Nothing before it or after it comes close. It would make me so happy for Edward to continue getting his life back on track and star in a "reboot" of the terminator franchise that begins after T2 and ignores all the other movies that came after. Despite their efforts, skynet wins and the war plays out. Furlong builds an army and battles the bots to save the world. Everyone knows that's the new terminator movie we want to see!

Terminator dark fate is stupid. Tim says he killed him because he wanted to get rid of the notion of messiahs existing yet he replaces him with another messiah who happens to be a woman? That makes no sense. Plus by the films dumbass logic, if the savior of humanity dies then another person will just end up taking their place anyways hence why dark fate implies John Connor is expendable. Well if that's the case then isn't the new female messiah, dani, expendable too? I mean if the movie taught us anything if she dies, then another messiah will just take her place so why even care anymore? Just stupid.

All my friends back in 90s use to make fun of me for having a crush on Edward. I got vindicated when I learned he was just a year younger then me. He did some amazing work as a kid. Hope he stays on the good path and doesn't become another static. Alot gone from 90s

He had a lot to live up to. His first role was a role he played to perfection in the greatest action movie ever made. Its one thing to meet expectations but expectations you created? You know how many kids in the early 90s america wanted to rip around on their dirt bike and be a little badass because of him? Im 40 and I STILL think that kid was cool as shit.

An addict saying he's clean doesn't necessarily mean that he is. I'm not trying to be mean; I struggle with my personal shit as well, so I know. Edward does not look like he is sleeping and he seems to be masking his unhappiness with dark humor. There is nothing healthy about that.
