    Thanks to be healthy now seems to buy processed supplements instead of pharmaceutical drugs .Always buy buy . What about natural foods grown in earth without packaging and processing. To know some of knowledge does not make one an expert to advise. Sometimes advice might harm others. Every person is unique.

    • @rosieheals

      Every person is indeed unique. Natural investments into healing can look different for everyone, and vary greatly in different seasons of life. Everyone is ultimately responsible for knowing and tending to their own body.
      This is just a window of an example of gut healing within my current routine (which is fluctuate and seasonal). My pillars/emphasis on time, no alcohol and abundant fruits/veg is pretty natural and low-lift when it comes to the intuitive, accessible wisdom you allude to here. I'm sensing you may not have watched the whole video.

      Oh yay, I am so glad this felt supportive for you! Thank you so much for the kind words, it is deeply appreciated.
      This dressing was (off my memory): 1-2 tsp turmeric powder, water to make a paste, fresh pressed garlic, adobo seasoning, onion powder and vegan avocado-based mayo and a splash of lemon juice. First time making a turmeric-based dressing, it was delish. A cleaner version could sub tahini for the mayo and likely be equally tasty. Sending you joy on your self-healing path!

    Hey Rosie, I have EDS, MCAS, POTS and dysautonomia. Most of my current debilitating symptoms were brought on my toxic mold exposure. While I'm not sick from mold anymore, it definitely did a number on me and I'm still struggling with horrible histamine reactions to everything even wholefood high carb stuff, nervous system feels like it's fried, gut problems, aches, pains, brain fog, dissociation, etc. Did you go through anything like this? I'm really hoping raw can help me. Also doing polyvagal exercises to try to heal my nervous system. It's tough existing atm.

    • @kaligray6247
      @kaligray6247 Před 2 měsíci +1

      How did you know you had toxic mold exposure?

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci +4

      That is absolutely exactly what I went through too, such a similar storm (2015-2018). The raw level dug me out of that territory SO effectively, but I will note that I started it in the summertime and leaned on an abundance of *seasonal, ripe* fruits and veg and sacred sunshine.
      I stayed raw (97-99%) for 2-3 years and have branched out to more cooked in the last couple years, especially during winter. I believe it is a delicate and personal balance and mastery, to honor your own nervous system and pacing as you dance with raw. Definitely take things slow and opt for lower sugar fruits and only tolerated fruits/veg when it suits you. The fact that you are supporting yourself with polyvagal work is brilliant. Moving out frozen tension and old emotions slowly and safely is critical. You so got this. I am always available on IG to chat further in DMs

    i am severely ill with me/cfs and know that my gut is a mess. however, i don't have the money to purchase a bunch of supplements. i buy organic from local farms and eat a healthy plant based diet, which stretches my budget as far as it will stretch. i would love to see a video on how to heal the gut on an extremely tight budget. unfortunately this routine seems lovely, but feels unattainable.

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I did most of my gut healing very low supplement/lower budget and focusing on high fruit/veg/plants/hydration and periods of digestive rest. That's why my 3 points highlighted time, no alcohol and abundant fruits and veg focus. This is just a little window/example of how gut healing can look and some of what I authentically currently do. It sounds like you are on a beautiful path.

    What is hop water?

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci

      Usually a sparkling beverage as a base, using hops for both the flavor profile (like a beer, but tastes crisper/cleaner without the fermentation or alcohol) and for its sedative-like properties, digestion aid, etc. Many benefits to hops. Taste great. Love mixing these in juices. The one I used here was a blend of sparkling spring water, hops, jasmine green tea and lavender I believe. By "Hoptonic".

      1-2 tsp turmeric powder, water to make a paste, fresh pressed garlic, adobo seasoning, onion powder and vegan avocado-based mayo and a splash of lemon juice. A cleaner version might sub tahini for the mayo and likely be equally tasty.

    Any tips to support bloating? I am plant based, clean diet and too much fiber unfortunately cause a lot of bloating.

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci +4

      Oh yes, you can definitely take charge of this slowly but surely. Without working with you 1:1 I can't give personal guidance and I am not giving medical advice, but here is some of what has worked well for me and my clients over the years:
      Take a peak into "raw vegan food combining guidelines", try these out as you see fit (and within the scope of your diet), and see if they resonate and help you. For example, one I follow closely is to eat melon and other technical sweet fruits (this is a category) on an empty stomach and never (or rarely) combine it with other foods. I also always try to eat fruit first and never after a heavier cooked or veg meal. This can create transit issues and that = extra yeast and fermentation in the already vulnerable tummy/terrain.
      Eat simply for a period. Embrace steamed veggie meals or soups.
      Avoid eating too much raw cruciferous veggies and/or combining those with other items.
      Work to get your body in the parasympathetic state more often, but especially before and while eating (deep belly breathing, nervous system relaxation techniques, grounding, etc.). We women can hum on hypervigilant without realizing it.
      Utilize colon/bowel moving and supporting herbs, plants, routines. I personally like aloe, noni juice, tiphala, ginger, peppermint, fennel, etc. For routines to support deeper elimination of stagnant waste (which contributes to bloat), I personally enjoy simple digestive rest in the am hours and juicing/intentional hydration.
      Sleep/digestion hygiene: stop eating several hours before bed time and make no compromises on that. This helps immensely.
      Chew/masticate incredibly thoroughly and slowly. Much more than you think you need to.
      Sip good water throughout the day and avoid chugging it, especially during meal time.
      Hope these can support

    How does kombucha contribute to yeast?

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci +1

      This is what my doctor at the time had suggested to me. But it does make perfect sense on an intuitive level for me. Kombucha is comprised of yeast, sugar, tea and a fermentation process. Dropping that combo into an already yeasty overgrowthy or otherwise pH compromised gut regularly may not have ultimate consequences of health or healing at the root level, when you think on it. That's my take.
      I love bucha here and there and do notice a stark difference between more commercially produced ones (acid vinegar tasting) vs. small-batched, or locally and intentionally made.

    If I wanted to eat slimy green stuff I'd eat the the goop at the bottom of the sea floor, but the second drink doesn't look like it would test my gag reflex as much. If I had my own house, lawn & dogs (3 things I'll most certainly never have 😂) than I'd definitely also waste time sitting on the lawn with my dogs. Glad you found an UBER crunchy lifestyle that makes you UBER healthy. Three cheers for super fun gluten free bread🎉 🎉🎉

    So Rosie - did you find out you had gut problems while being raw vegan? I thought that’d heal it …

    • @rosieheals
      @rosieheals  Před 2 měsíci

      No, this diagnosis was all about 3-4 years before finding and applying raw. I was eating what many would call a "healthy" animal-based diet when I faced the tipping point of major health issues, gut problems and chronic illnesses. Raw was a MASSIVE part of my gut healing in the last 6 years. In the years prior to finding raw though, I do believe some of these practices in the video (veggie juicing, gentle roasted veggies and cruciferous items, etc.) were also crucial in setting me up for even deeper success when I did find and implement raw.
