This is a serious adult themed song. Girls Lucy age are not performing in this genre. This takes real talent to pull off and Lucy does it with ease. Every note, every word, every physical motion is part of Lucy's tremendous skills at 'story telling'. Lucy expertly weaves between the beginning, middle, and ending of this story in such a way that the listener is emotionally invested in the song.
Every time I hear Lucy perform, I am immediately affected emotionally. It is impossible to not be affected. Sad songs, glad songs, happy songs all have same impact on the listener. I saw the Movie "Beaches" years ago. Lucy's rendition took me back in time, almost like a time machine. And all those emotions I felt years ago came flooding back. I know I am not the only guy that cries when allowing the emotions to be released.
And that is what Lucy Thomas can do, take us to a time and place detached from 'now' and allow us to 'feel' real emotions. Even sad movies have a purpose. We as humans tend to 'forget' the bad stuff. In this movie, there was bad stuff. But in the end, even after tragic loss, there was a new beginning.

Hi Steve.. Thank you for these comments. I agree with everything you have stated. Lucy is very special. She is cut from a different cloth and truly need not be compared to any other singer. Lucy's qualities are unique and she is adorable in every way.
@@georgegliszczynski8576 Last year I realized that part of the formula for success Lucy and her Label uses is really good story telling. They treat each song as a kind of story. It has a beginning, middle, and end. There is a plot that is revealed during song. Lucy's crescendo might come at halfway mark, or at last quarter left of song.
They wind up emotionally through the song, climaxing with full throttle power vocals, then gradually brings the listener back to Earth. Sometimes it is done more than once. I listen to that part over and over.
I know when I am in that sweet emotional spot Lucy has taken us, I don't want it to stop. I want more and more. That is the emotional affect Lucy can create time after time. That is why her songs are so powerful, master story telling.

@@wilburfinnigan2142 Thanks for comment. I am starting to think Lucy is really an Angel. How her voice, words, and stories touch so deep inside emotionally is like a 'spiritual experience'. Hard to put it in words. That is 1 reason when I critique her, it takes over a 1,000 words describe it now.
I first heard Lucy sing Hallelujah but this is my favourite. I listen again and again.

The Thomas Sisters are on a level all by themselves. Their harmonizing is so expertly done it's easy to forget they are still young girls. They out perform singers with decades of experience. And, they will only get better.

Her voice touches souls.
In my estimation this is one of the best videos Lucy has done. Nothing over the top, just pure serene silkiness in her voice. Just the right amount of vibrato to add to the emotion. Also, you can't see much of Lucy but when she brings her hands to her chest she's making this rendition very personal. Chills and tears here also.
