... I've always wanted a CM 9 for the longest time but never seen one in my area, until a month ago. At one of my LGS they had one a customer bought, tried it and found out that the recoil spring was too tough to pull back, traded it for a EZ 9 Shield. Only fifty rounds shot out of the CM9 I bagged it up for under three hundred - so now I have the gun I've longed for ...
Ove the years I've had a cm9 ,pm9, cm40, pm40, p380 and the CW 45. Oh the woes of a gun nut. Always something new to get. They have all been great guns, just lacking in capacity. Kahr needs to step up with a high capacity. I gifted my cw45 to my son for a marine promotion. I think I liked it the best. They are some of the smallest handguns in their calibers. Only had a problem with some mags. Stay away from pro mags for these. I haven't had any luck with them for a kahr.. Great video.👍😊 Happy holidays and Merry Christmas.
Love this gun, just picked up a used one in excellent condition $320 + 3 mags & bag in factory box Nice video, I still carry 380 and/or 32APC - depending on how hot weather is. Most days I'm wearing swim trunks, tank top, & saddles. When I wear pants/cargo shorts I plan on carrying Kahr.
Darn, we have similar taste in guns. I own pretty much all the guns you have showcased. Proud owner of a CW-9, CM-9 and a P-380. The CW-9 mags fit the CM-9 but not vice-versa, in case anyone is wondering.
I just found your channel and I subscribed. I have the kahr cw9. They are awesome for the price and definitely worth the price. USA made. God Bless from Oklahoma
absolutely. I have the pm40 5+1, ported with civil defense rounds. Such a good setup. So light, best trigger, night sights, techniclip and hogue jr handle bulge with no thick, rubber beaver tail like yours, makes it thinner, but no big deal. Best gun, so underrated. No one needs more than 6 rounds 40cal. Otherwise carry another mag. Thank you. I even have the safety version. It's a bit better as the trigger pull is actually half the distance. Safety version better with techniclip.
I’ve got a PM9 on its way to my FLGS. It’s a 9mm pocket gun that is about the same size as a Glock 42, which is about as large as I can go for a pocket gun. I forgot they existed, spent a week trying to find something about the size of or smaller than my G42 to get into a more capable caliber. I would have just gone with a Springfield 911 or Sig 938, but one isn’t made anymore and it looks like the other is being phased out.
Taurus makes the 856 in a Ultra Lite! You have the regular weight gun. I do love the Kahr! You can use the CW and CT mags but they will hang out the bottom.
So to describe it. 6+1. Doing a mag dump at the range as technically the 7th round would jam going from the mag to the barrel. The last round every time..
do wish kahr would make a staggered mag new guns to get up to 10rd age. But I still carry my kahr cm40 after ten years. The cm40 Cal is only a hair bigger than the kahr cm9, but very control able with the double recoil springs. I've tried the new micro 9's but none have the double recoil springs like kahr to manage recoil in such small package. I still carry the cm40 because a 40 Cal will make bigger stopping cheese holes, than multiple 9mm , which is needed this day and age.
Thanks for the thorough video. Im considering the cm9 or Diamondback db9...having trouble settling on one!. Have you ever tried the db9, If so, if you could only have one which would be your choice?
I’m so glad I bought my PM9 years ago. Not saying Kahr quality is suffering as most handguns made today seem to be but WTF is going on with the ever increasing horror stories? S&W, Barretta, Taurus, on and on with so many stories of issues and ensuing customer non-service? Anyway, so glad I got my handguns a decade plus ago…
If you wanna pocket carry the CM9 an excellent kydex holster can be had for a great price...the name of the holster is 'Aholster' spelled exactly like that.
I may add that primer drag comes with the territory of smaller pistols,Its not an issue, and I love my CM9.i am interested in that hogue grip you got there.
Hello. I also have the Kahr CM9. I have thought about selling it for a higher capacity micro 9 but I am having difficulty with selling it for the strengths you highlighted. I was wondering if you knew if it can be milled for a red dot optic? If so, do you know if certain optics are better for it?
@ 0.56 seconds I see a "crack" in the frame just below the slide, and above your thumb, going down to the grip stippling. Have you noticed that? My Kahr PM9 has the very same crack (and I've also seen it on other YT videos showing Kahrs). Is this "crack" not considered a problem? Thanks.
I'll throw my 2 cents in. I've owned three of these since 2012, traded two, still carry one. Flawless function for deep carry. FWIW, I also have a P365 and Hellcat.
Even in these days of the double stack 9's, some people still rely heavily upon their six shooter wheelguns. And with the seven round capacity, the Kahr still has one more round to boot. Also, given the fact that most gun fights only last for two to four rounds, with training and practice, the Kahr is as deadly and accurate as any pistol in it's size, on the market. The beauty of the PM9 is that with less ammo weighing it down, it's much thinner and lighter than a double stack 9, with a smooth revolver-like trigger. And with a nylon IWB holster, you can carry this jewel inside your gym shorts without any sag or printing. In light summertime clothing, you'll barely even know you've got it on.
Lol, the odds of you needing more than 7 rounds in a legitimate self-defensive encounter, are slim and none, and slim just left town. If you need more than 7 rounds, you probably already lost the gun fight, and are dead. All those useless extra rounds just make the gun heavier.
I wasn’t aware the CM9 was ever the King of deep concealment, let alone still. LCP is probably way more popular for deep concealment, then probably the Bodyguard and/or Smith and Wesson J-Frame. Kahr, in my opinion, is kind of a hipster gun. It’s the underground Indie rock band of guns. It makes you feel like you’re cool because your friends who aren’t into guns have never heard of it. “Glock? Smith and Wesson? Sig Sauer? Yeah, I used to listen to them before they were cool.”
Umm from late 1990s to 2018 until the double stacks micro 9mm came out kahr was king. Almost everyone I know who CCW and police carried a kahr cm9 or pm9 then . Yes some carried 9mm revolvers as backups and the glock 26. But kahr was king in those years as carry and backup guns.
Kahrs are great guns

Attaboy. That spring is stout
Good selection for a firearm.

Great review. Very informative. Found out Kahr arms was founded in Massachusetts of all places! Thought they were German. Keep up the good content!
Nice review. Thanks for the information.
thanks for info

Cool pistol - great review.
I own the KAHR CW9 and love it!
Mine had a 500 or 600 round break in. I almost gave up on it but it runs perfectly now.

I painted the rear sight triangles white and can line up the front sight better for me.

All summer. Great for concealment.
Have one. Only brand I ever sent back. Last round F2F. They fixed it whatever was the cause. Credit to them.
What model?

🙄 A Korean founded the company.
Whats the grip on there ?? Kahrs honestly great was skeptical whem i bought my cm9 1 mag & i fell in love 😂
Where did you buy the Hogue grip for the Kahr CM9? I have not found it online. What is the model # or something? Thank you very much!
Show us your primer on spent casing
Thanks for the thorough video.

my pm9 recoil is hardly noticeable, but i dont think I'm recoil sensitive as i feel the same way with lcp or any small gun i shoot
I was so focused on size and weight, I forgot about defending myself. I went back to HK P2000SK.
Love the p2000's

Considered kahr but saw so many negative reviews went with something else
Fire pin drags on Primer with small pistols including the CM9.

I'd think the Shield RMC
Always buy and sell guns… except for sell!😊

CM9 EDC

It's not a crack. It's an access panel
Thanks. I actually knew that when I bought my PM 9 about 11 and 1/2 years ago. Chalk it up to a 78-year-old having a brain fart. 😊

Hogue handall Junior
Rather have a Boberg but I guess it will do.
You can't compare a Kahr to a gun that costs twice the money.
Kahr is King of low capacity that will get you killed in a gunfight.
