Haha great timing I literally posted my video from right before this too! - Also I've ridden some of those trails when I filmed with Max, but I didn't realize how much was back there!
We’ve formed a whistler telepathic connection
1:25.... "Are you effing INSANE!!!"?
Such a cool little area! Have driven by there so many times and had no idea there's trails there
1:39 juste beautiful.... the trees, the wind!
That elevated skinny to double drop looked really fun! So rad these trails are right in town.
Amazing video! I love the playful approach to the super hard looking trails! Thanks for posting, Nic!
I stayed nearby this for months before realizing there was trails there! Honestly for such a small hill the trails are a ton of fun, especially on a day off from bike park or relentless climbing days. There is a small freeride line with some bigger hits on the other side of the hill and a mulch jump too- what a cool area!
You are a sick man VanCan, the Chilcotin gives you Jedi powers
Love your videos man, it would be cool if you could narrate what youre doing while youre riding, ie letting off bake break, weight shifting, etc. Ill keep watching them but it woukd be nice to get some insight into how you attack some of those steep and techy sections
@DaleStone just did a great breakdown vid last week.
Whistler isn't just the park :p
6:58 - 7:09 Squirrel!
It was so rad to do the scouting ride with you. Well… you rode it. Way to ride it super smooth now!
🙏
They definitely built this trail long before LLS bikes became the norm. Great ride. Gotta get you to 100K subs.
Yeah, but how must this have been on a 26" short and high? They were death traps.
@@ShitStefanShoots Never rode Whistler but rode 26" for 20 years on sketchy hiking trails that had black features before they were ever a thing. Been on 29" for 10 years and I would be terrified back on 26." Back in the day it was all we had, but we still rode the terrain. Slow tech was how trails were built. Rim brakes. Lol.
That skinny looked horrific! Love how easy you make this stuff look :)
In my head I was screaming.
@@VanCan Haha! figured my friend :)
Cool, man! I ordered a Chilcotin to ride here in Pittsburgh, USA. I went with the 151 as I'm not sure if I have the legs to pedal the 167 for my 3 hour rides. I'll see how I do, then maybe go big on the suspension in the future.
Perfect for North Park and Alameda!
Awesome video as always but amazing when you think about it, that CZcams can stop a mountain biker telling other mountain bikers something as innocent and straightforward as the names of the trails he's riding. Insane new world we live in 🤷♂
That place certainly is challenging. I had to look up the name of the trail you refused to. I am guessing a different way of saying “defecation and laughs”.
back on fox suspension?
So I live in a small mountain range in Germany where mountain biking would be possible.. but it isn't. Besides a few street like routes you are not allowed to ride your bike anywhere in the woods.. and because it is a relatively popular recreational area- it is actually enforced and you get a ticket for riding your bike on a trail.. dog owners are shouting... hikers are putting planks with nails in the way.. it is ridiculous.. so I have to stick to the dirt routes around the actual mountains, which are a bit "feature less".. but at least we don't have to worry about bears.. so that's a plus
That is a shame. If one yields to hikers and dogs, I don't see an issue sharing the trails. My local park has no bike stickers on trail markers, but I ride anyway. My grandfather served in the Pacific so I'd have the freedom to ride my bike.
Sächsische Schweiz?!
@@SlowpokeRodriguez80 Siebengebirge
Other states should let this happen we don't destroy trails we help clean them up
I just love the title of this video no trail on this planet can compete. with the flying Circus Jordan has a amazing video on his channel with a Trail that has been taken down it sucks that trail builds a spend ages building and then forestry sat you can’t build that Rules are rules Free ride has no rules lol
When stuff looks scary on gopro you know you are goning to soil yourself if you see it in real life.
I can't decide, purple chilcotin or raw chilcotin
The headline cracks me up. It's the world's best, of course its no joke.
Where in whistler are these trails?
Right beside the village.
Cut Yer Bars
Did he say what bike he was riding?
Knolly Chilcotin!
@@VanCan Thanks!
For my liking, the isolated exposure mode blows out the highlights too much.
