    I feel sorry for the guy in the letter. He bought a new car expecting everything to work which is only reasonable. Fisker cheated him. Chase financed the car loan, but how could they know Fisker is cheating all of its buyers? Sadly, it comes down to learning a valuable lesson that if you aren't prepared to lose 100% of your investment in a startup like Fisker, then you should not invest. It is a poker game and Fisker seems to have suckered thousands of people. My heart goes out and that doesn't help this guy. Buyer beware is the only call that can be made.

      Never buy an EV from one of these start-ups. Even the ones that actually produced and delivered are not going to survive and you will be left holding a tablet on wheels that just won't work.

      @@DIOSpeedDemonyou have the outlook of fantasy. If it was that rosy, why is Henrik selling his home? How much profit do you think has been made if any at all with these $100,000 vehicles you mention? Rivian is still making losses on each one of their vehicles. They should have listened to the many, many people warning them of what they were getting into with Fisker and Henrik. I certainly don't feel bad for the fanatics that banned and silenced voices of truth. Ultimately, it doesn't matter how much you deny reality. Eventually it catches up with you. That is what Fisker owners are learning today. Let it be a lesson learned perhaps?

    It really highlights a fundamental problem with how our society is run:
    1. You didn't get what you signed a purchasing agreement for, but you're still required to pay.
    2. They have some money left, but instead of being required to pay the people they fucked over, they are required to pay INVESTORS first. Investment is a gamble and should not be rewarded at the expense of individuals buying a product.
    3. There is no institution to assist people who are screwed over by failure to deliver on agreements. This applies to ALL things, not just shit like this. (For a personal example, I got hit by a drunk driver, and never got more than a few hundred dollars despite the thousands I lost because of it. Because they died a year after from an unrelated incident.)
    And that's just at a surface level. What about the fact that these vehicles are all programmed to ping a particular server for updates? What happens if someone gets ahold of that domain and does something nefarious with it? What happens when there is no server at all? The fact that one of the vehicles can randomly open a hatch because it was trying to connect to a server is bad enough, but what happens when that system is gone?

      @@DaveDarin TLDR; Seriously, company legal teams don't screw about when the AG contacts them!
      Fisker Inc. is a US registered entity and such it legally required to respond to the States Attorney Generals office within a very specific timeframe. The AG's letter goes directly to Fisker Inc's legal team from the AG, not to customer service.
      If Frisker Inc. doesn't want legal action from the state they will have to respond to the AG and identify how and by when they will address the issue. (Varies by state, just google your states attorney general office it's all there)
      I've previously hit some Australian sports betting company who kept mailing me crap with my personal information prepopulated (I don't gamble, let alone online.), Google, Sallie Mae, and Comcast with complaints filed with the AG's of two different states after a month of back and forth without resolution. The AG got me a a response for the companies legal team via registered mail within 2 weeks, and a resolution after around 3 on average.
      The AUS company, never sent me a mailer again. Google's legal team contacted me via the AG's formal channels. Comcast legal forced their regional director called me directly on my cell multiple times to until I answered to address the issue and follow up to make sure it was addressed to ensure it was taken care of. Sallie May had a federal ombudsman assigned to investigate and resolve the issue.

It’s the same with the Rivian R2, it was the same with the F150 lightning, etc. I got the cheap version of the Ocean, and I got to enjoy it for 1 day before Fisker was required by law to announce that bankruptcy was imminent.

    Tesla regularly has events where teams of hackers get a car for successfully hacking a Tesla. Hacking a Fisker will not be remotely close to that hard. Fisker owners need to form a coop that you all pay dues into that hires the winners of a hack event to improve the software and provide support, first. Second, you need to hire a guy like Rich Rebuilds to figure out workarounds for parts that often fail, whether they can be replaced with similar parts from other cars or can be 3-D printed or whatever.
    Failing the above, the main value is the battery pack, which people will buy for close to the discounted car prices because it is a huge pack, then the wheels have good value…

We had 3 different pieces of equipment that failed that step. The only way to resolve the issues was to send the units back to the OEM for service. At some point, the Fisker could run into the same initialization issue and without service, it will be bricked. I think that risk is highly likely.

    Here's one for you and others that might read this. Cloud services.
    Curious about cloud services and what happens when that ends, if it ends, but let's assume here that it ends.
    I'm more comfortable with OS upgrades ending as OS 2.0 seems pretty good and rumor has it that OS 2.1 is coming. But what about cloud services? If that ends are we at risk.
    Here is an example. I have a wifi internet radio made by C Crane company. It was dependent on a database called Reciva and they closed down. I can still play the stations that the radio added to the internal ROM but I can't get on Reciva to add new stations. So I'm suck with the stations I have loaded.
    So, if the cloud for the Ocean goes down is that a bad thing? In other words is there any risk of us all having bricks, or the entire infotainment system is non functional, or are we just driving around with cars that can no longer get OTA updates, which might be OK. If the infotainment system goes down the Ocean may only have keyfob control and steering wheel controls in the Ocean. Any insight on this as I am less versed in how the cloud works.

    Are there any Car 🚙 Lemon 🍋 Laws that could be utilized?

    • @Aslash304
      @Aslash304  Před měsícem +1

      Here’s a good example of a lemon car: “Generally, if the manufacturer is unable to fix the car after at least four repair attempts to the same defect, or at least two repair attempts for a serious safety defect, or if the vehicle has been out of service for more than 30 calendar days for repairs, it may be considered a lemon.”

      @DaveDarin Před měsícem

      @@Aslash304 It may be considered a lemon but that does nothing to resolve the financial loss to the owners. With Fisker out of business and bankrupt they will suffer no damages, or responsibility, from having 1 or 10,000 declared lemons out there.

      @@Aslash304 so that means getting rid of it in my eyes 😉I already lost a 💩 ton so I’ll ride it out. I just can’t sell it for $30k after losing $40k already. The battery alone has to be worth $25k. If anyone doesn’t want their car, drive down in Miami, you’ll be sure to be rear ended within a year lol. Horrible down there. Maybe it can be a battery backup for my house since I have solar lol.

    What are the chances of one of the 3 unnamed companies reviewing Fisker for a buyout, actually going to happen?

      Lol. Gotta love it Adam. 🙄Great job reporting! Great videos! You create them, you edit them, you produce them all by yourself. You own3 EVs, an ICE car, you own your own home, you own your own solar panels, you have a very high IQ and a college Degree in Finance and a history in journalism, radio, and management. You do all of this along with running your own businesses and taking time out of your busy schedule to continue to keep others informed about what is going on in the EV world and collaborating with others as we are all in a similar boat. I’m glad you are an electric vehicle enthusiast and you genuinely care about telling people the truths and facts. Great reporting! Keep up the outstanding work! It is very appreciated.
