- This is a method on how to remove a bios password on a Dell Latitude E7270 and E7470. The process will be the same on both, and is very straightforward. I am not sure if this method was discovered or not in the past, I actually was tinkering around in the bios, and found that their is a very simple way. This process will actually work with any Dell Latitude machine that is older, HOWEVER, the E7270/E7470 machines require an extra step to unlock it.
Website to acquire your bios key:
bios-pw.org/
Thanks, the CTRL + Enter + Enter was really necessary.
Info for European users: the bios keyboard layout is QWERTY and not e.g. QWERTZ. Keep this in mind when entering the password.
Stumbled upon that aswell :D
Thanks a lot for your comment, that did the trick!!
Thx!!!
How do i change my keyboard layout then? My computer had a foulty ssd so i have no OS
Yes, that was it! Thank-you!
Used this solution today and still going strong. Note: I used lower case and got a different code so make sure to use UPPER CASE when entering the code. Thanks again man - life saver. Cheers
Thank you!
You have been assigned the 995th "LIKE" for a video that gets STRAIGHT to the POINT! You saved a "DELL Latitude E7470" which my Dad trashpicked recently. It was UEFI/BIOS-Locked, yet thankfully not Admin-locked, so your instructions lead it to a new lease on life! Excellent!!
Perfect! I just bought a second hand laptop E7270 and just found out BIOS was locked. This worked so well! As said in the comments, THE BIOS KEYBOARD IS IN QWERTY !!
Just tried it on my Latitude E7470, and it worked. Thank you so much. I used the “Dell from serial number” codes, there will be two lines of code, initially I thought they were one big line line, but actually they are two different codes, I used the first top option. I tried about 5 times, and finally got it right.
Work as you explain, I got a laptop as a bargain because the lock and now it's unlocked. Thank you.
Worked on a DELL LATITUDE 5580.
You just saved another one on the list !!
Thanks dude.
Cheers.
Nice to find someone who knows what they are talking about
I have been trying to reset this password for over a year and your method worked! Thank you!
Holy shit man. Been working on getting my password reset all day and stumbled upon this video and it finally worked. Thank you so much for this you’re genuinely a life saver
Thank you man, i unlocked my new to me used XPS 9370 bios password with your instructions on the first try. Can't thank you enough man.
Man, you're I lifesaver, work on a latitude 4320, you deserve a nobel for that ...or at least a thumbs up, thanks again
It worked for me straight on Dell Latitude 5480 which had Admin (Setup) password. I'm now smiling; Thanks for your Video!
Can confirm this worked on a Latitude 7280 with 6th Gen i5 - many thanks!
Don’t usually comment on videos but holy shit this saved me. Just bought an E7480 and was frustrated trying to get this bios pass off
Thank u very much. This works for dell latitude e7450. After a few solutions provided online, only this one sorted my issue. The key was to set system password.
This may be a duplicate comment.. U da MAN.. Thanks. Worked fantastic, Dell E5540, I5. Users, You must enter EXACTLY the code(case matters) and CTRL + ENTER times 2😁
My man I love you I just busted my head for 1 week until I found you!!!!!
Thank you - finally after a solid day of trying, you sorted my issue. Brilliant. Cheers
FINALLY! thank you for something that actually worked!! the system password and then entering the password from site worked. You Rock.
Holy Shit... I cannot belive that actually worked on my Dell Latitude 7480!!! You the Man Franky!
This also worked for my Latitude 7390 but I only needed to press CTRL+Enter to validate the password and regain access to the BIOS
I have the same model. I agree it worked like a charm.
Insteresting it didn't change the last digits for me, but still worked with the Cnt Ent Ent. Thank you very much!
You my friend, just saved me a lot of time and hassle.
THANK YOU.
Fantastic, thank you. Password removed from Dell 7280 acquired legitimately from Goodwill Online for a few $$ due to p/w being set.
Worked for my Dell E7470 ! Thank you for this video !
Brother thank you, from Australia - worked for me after picking up a pc from work that they were gonna throw in the bin. (had to flash everything)
This solution worked just fine on my Dell Latitude 7480, especially if you have a Nordic layout on the keyboard, as I did. The key mapping will be in English when you type the unlocking password in the BIOS. My solution was to set my main PC to English and then type until I found the right buttons for the correct symbols.
Thank you this has worked for me for a touch older BIOS from around 2018-19
Excellent video! I rescued a Dell E7250 with your method
Your method is working. Really i watched many videos but your BF97 method works. I really appreciate your work on this video.
WOW i was struggling trying to remove a password from a Dell Latitude 7480 and your method actually worked, thank you so much gonna subscribe for sure...
Please, how did you do ?
Because it's not working for me
This is really f working. When entering the first number it doesn't work but the second number definitely work.
Thank you so much for the help ❤

Huge thanks!
It worked for Dell Latitude 5480
Hey, it worked. Thanks a lot. It worked on the Dell XPS 13 9360.
Can confirm this worked on Dell Wyse 5070 thin client as well - thanks for sharing!
Big Thanks Mate,
worked for me the same way with a Latitude 5480 7th gen Intel processor.
Just remember when entering the Password, it means a QWERTY layout.
cheers
What does it mean
If you have a German/Spanish/French/... laptop (it is my case with a German one) you just have to type the code thinking that you are using an English keyboard. Don't look at the key format on your physical computer, but type like you were using an English keyboard and it will work! Hope this is understandable in case you're having trouble.
You are the freaking man brotha !!! 👊👊👊👊 Confirmed working on a Dell 7470...as of October 2021
Sou do Brasil e estou vendo seu vídeo às 2:10 AM resolvendo o problema de dois notebooks, salvou demais esse vídeo, parabéns cara. 👍🏽✌🏽

Worked for my Dell E6430! Thank you for this video bro!
Worked like a charm on 7280, thanks!
Bro I was sitting here at work and have done everything to reset one of the Dell laptops bios as it was password protected. With your video I've managed to get it unlocked by the site that did not work for you. For anyone having a Dell Latitude E6510 use this password : v0gl9m36ed3LsLPs (Please note that the second letter is a zero and not the alphabetical O for Oscar and the 4 letter is a lower case L) Good luck guys
Hello, this method does not work for Dell Latitude E5470. I removed the Bios battery for 1 full day and put it back in the next day. On the same screen, it asks for the recovery password. I cannot open it with the website you gave me. It says incorrect password. Is there a different way? I am transmitting what appears on the screen: JLXVRF2-6FF1Scanning
Thanks a lot sir. It's worked for me Dell Latitude E7270.
I have a Dell Latitude 5400 and I followed your steps, I reset the system password but when I enter the bios I get prompted with the same code, unlike your screen it shows a different code...any idea what's going on?

Hi Frank do you you know hot to remove psw from a dell inspiron 3505 laptop? I have try removing the battery and trying to get a code from bios-pw but I haven't been successful. Hope you can help me.
hey so i was able to get into bios n do all this, but once i exit bios everything goes back to default, why is this? still cant login bc of that
Hi, it worked for 2 old machines in the cupboard at work that had been left for some time when staff left, also another with damaged hard drive, once replaced i could not use a usb drive to reinstall windows 10.
Strange is that none of the 2 IT admin recall ever setting a password
The first password did not work, but after adding the next level like you showed the web page new password worked
Regards
George
This got me right into a 7480. Thanks!!
