- Join us on a backpacking trip to High Rock Lookout, Washington fire tower! Unfortunately, the fire tower was taken down a few years back, so it's currently just a platform until they rebuild next year (2025). High Rock Lookout trail is a short, fun hike that offers a rewarding experience to one of the best views of Mount Rainier!
Along the way, the trail boasts a mix of beautiful flora and fauna, making it a delightful journey for nature enthusiasts and hikers alike. Is this one of the best views in Washington? Watch and find out as we capture the beauty of Mount Rainier from this vantage point!

High Rock Lookout isn't even in the Mount Rainier National Park, it's in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest, which is southwest of the national park.
