I grew up listening to Sakura, mostly as Koto music. I thought I was tired of this music, but I was wrong! I really like your performance, Alexandra.
Now Alexandra is featuring a Japanese? songwriter! I love the BREADTH of her song choices/composers and the fact that I love ALL of her videos on CZcams.
桜 Thank you for playing Japanese songs
I love Japan. Love from india
As I sat hypnotized, focused, my coffee got cold, 🤷♂️, off to the microwave before I start the replay! Truly was a beautifully executed piece, thank you.
The most amazing guitarrist, extremely sensitive, technically perfect, magicaly sweet, your art speak to spirit and heart in a wonderful harmony.Thank you very much.
One of the most talented young guitarists around, in my opinion. I really hope Alexandra will put out an album so I can listen around my house!
She's great! The skills needed to play at that level, I'm amazed at her. The Sakura variations, that is expert, super master level. $100 says she kills it! (Kills means plays it great.)
Paul Flynn She has a CD out at the moment Paul, it’s called ‘Verano’ and is available on alexandrawhittingham.com. I also agree she is one of the finest young guitarist around.
@@nelsonx5326 it's barely an intermediate piece... You need to listen more to music
@@soullessSiIence says who?
Yes an album and book also ❤🙏
Beautiful! Congratulations Alexandra! 👏👏👏
I realize I'm kinda off topic but do anybody know a good website to watch new series online?
@Archer Samson Ehh I use flixportal. you can find it by googling:P -fabian
@Fabian Ryland Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there =) I really appreciate it !!
@Archer Samson no problem =)
I played this very arrangement of Sakura many years ago. At some point in time I thought that I was doing quite well, but comparing to this, I might as well have been playing a broomstick. Such poise, grace and serenity. Stunning.
I went to Kyoto, Japan in March. At 6 o'clock in the morning, the light of the sky gradually shone, and the elegant fragrance floated in the cold air. This music reminded me of the feeling at that time.
Your sounds is like Japanese traditional instrument Koto. So your sounds express Japanese music!!
I like your play! Brava!
I can't even imagine the joy and satisfaction of being in a room with a small audience watching you play and finding myself getting lost in a trance. Your guitar skills are simply masterful and elegant.
I am very happy to listening to this performance.
In Japan, this song is played on the koto. I'm impressed that this song is in great harmony with the sound of the guitar.
I would like to express respect and appreciation to Ms. Alexandra for playing the song of my country beautifully.
Between koto arrangement and guitar, which one is better my friend?
..
Its just my curiosity
Thank you for playing Japanese songs!
Your fingers are like a petal of cherry blossoms flying in the wind.
Music is truly THE international language, and no one does a better job in communicating the feeling of human emotion better than this young guitarist
So beautifully done!

You have most excellent taste in the pieces that you choose to perform. So relaxing and boy, do we need some relaxing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
Alexandra, this is such a beautiful performance. I've played Sakura on the piano and sung it, but hearing Sakura played by you on the guitar is such a magical experience.
At the risk of repeating myself, I see in each work of Princess Alexandra, the synthesis of beauty, talent, art and good taste ... I know several parts of this melody through my Japanese friends. But I must say that this work was excellent. Congratulations Princess!
Alexandra! You never cease to amaze me! I love this video and will be listening to it repeatedly this week! Thank you!!! More comments to follow later in the week.

I love this guitar arrangement of the classic Japanese folk song Sakura, Sakura. It reminds me of another video of this by Vietnamese guitarist Kim Chung that she played many years ago on a TV show in Vietnam. Thank you, Alexandra, for blessing us with this lovely performance!

Sakura (桜 or さくら) is the Japanese word for cherry blossom trees and their blossoms - a special flower which symbolizes the spring, the beauty of nature, the renewal, and the ephemeral nature of life. japanhorizon.com/what-sakura-really-means/

Thank you Alexandra it was wonderful!🎼🎵🎶
Exquisite ! Bravo !
Gosh!
I always knew that you were one of the most talented guitarists, however honestly I didn't expect that you could nail it this far!
I mean, I'm a Japanese guitarist who plays both classical & jazz, so I know the Japanese rhythm is very different from Western rhythm.
You handled it almost perfectly, especially the first 2 minutes!
Amazing.
Great interpretation. Bravo!
Stunning!
Can’t wait.
Hi Alexandra, I want to hear you playing this composition again and again. Spring is in your expensive interpretation...🌼🍀🌸💐🌳with sun ..wind ,rain ..and the blossoms from cherry trees. Thank you for sharing, Alexandra 😊
