Here in SW FL, I'm fortunate enough to have several orange groves with miles of canals near me. I've caught back to back 9 lber's. Personally, I like the 6-8 lb fish, they fight better and longer

I'm in Toronto Ontario Canada and while were out fishing musky in the kawarthas sometimes we hear birdshot from a hundred yards away from the boat.

I'd imagine that catching a 7 and a 9 on one cast is more rare than catching a 16.

Back in the 80s I fished a fair amount. When I changed from a right hand retrieve baitcast reel to a left hand retrieve I loved it. Cast and feather the spool with my usual right,then no switching to retrieve. It was a little awkward for a very short time then just felt good. Happy belated B-Day!

Since the bama rig is illegal where I live, I’m going to try the Livetarget Spinnerbait ball this weekend at a small pond, you’ve given me a lot to think about and consider
You can use a rig but either only have 2 or 3 with hooks and the rest with hooks cut off

For the life of me, I just don’t understand why so many right handed people use right hand retrieve. Cast with right, switch rod to left so you can reel, then switch back to right to cast again. And all the control of the rod is in your non-dominate hand. I just don’t get it. Someone made this point to me some years back. In the beginning it was a little weird to get used to, but I can’t ever imagine going back now. No switching hands and I keep the rod and all the control in my dominate hand. It’s not like it’s difficult to just turn the reel with your left hand. It makes no sense to me to put all the control in my left hand and do all that switching back and forth.

I’m right handed and I prefer left handed retrieve over right any day of the week.

That’s not the reason. The reason is it will start invasive species in the body of water
jacktv no bc goldfish are unhealthy. He didn’t say don’t fish with goldfish, he said don’t feed them. And I’m pretty sure you can use goldfish legally

I’ve used goldfish as bait but the little feeder ones and the bass I caught(1-2lbers) are snacks to a 17 lb bass
