Man o man, those are some nice chunks y'all are pulling in. We've got some monsters up here in Guntersville Lake. Biggest I've had the pleasure to hook into with was a 6 lb, but there's some major hawgs pulled outta there all the time. When the big boys come fish Wheeler & Wilson out of Decatur, they blast out to G'ville to fish the tourney.
BamaBass what part of alabama do you live in
Gold fish are illegal right
Cool
BamaBass watching this a year later I just would have loved to see this caught on normal bass tackle😭
I'd cast my little sister out as bait to catch a 17lb bass.
Same but the other way around shed kick my but if i tryd lol
Nah i would cast mars
I'd put my son on my hook if it would catch a 17lb bass,,jk,,no I'm not 😂
I’d cast my x wife to catch a big shark lol
😂😂😂
Im more impressed with the crappie in the beginning 😂
Right! That thing was a monster!
Hahahah, you ain't kidding. That sucker was a monster
Same
Dude you should see the crappie in my pond
No shit!
Does that count if the goldfish adds a pound?
Actually, a good question!
its no where near a pound
4 oz. TOPS!
I use 1lb bluegills at max for 50+lb flatheads. lol
Yes, they do not empty the contents of the fishes stomach before weighing it.
Pond fish should not count for state records it should be public water only I mean how is it fair that the owners feed these fish 10 times a day in a pond and grow humongous and then nobody can try to catch them and then get a state record , just my two cents
John Burton you can’t feed train a bass so how are these lake feeding their fish ten times a day?
Its kind of ironic, but in Cali, the biggest fish are produced in public waters which get hammered hard. This keeps the population of fish down, so that a select few can get huge. Also, its the places that get fished the most, where its feasible to stock them with hatchery trout. Private ponds around here produce lots of good fish, in the 4 to 8 lb range, but if you want true giants, you need to fish places which are heavily stocked, and fished hard to keep overall numbers down.
I used to sneak onto private ponds as a young guy. The biggest bass I ever caught from those ponds was about 6 lbs. Caught 89 of them from 10 to 18.4 lbs, all on public waters.
This is a public lake
There is a couple you tubers that have trained bass
It is what it is. You still have to catch them.
The bait was special ordered straight from Petsmart😂
Tristin Riddle petsmart doesn't have them that big
Thebassinkid. Some Petsmart’s do... it depends if the location.
Lol
@@slimetime4668 not really the point jackass
😂😂😂
2:30 that fish hit harder than my dads belt
TJV Productions lmao oh man I lost it 😂
Tyler Stephens 😂😂😂
😭
😂👌
If I had the belt that wouldn't be the case
I can see that goldfish as being irresistible to bass. As a kid I rigged a large shiner I'd caught from the bank of our local reservoir and watched as an enormous bass ate that shiner and snapped that puny 8 lb. line like it was a spider's web. The bass took that shiner in its open mouth sideways with room to spare.
At one end of the 'Rez', as we called it, a dead fall of windblown leaves have made a natural mulch of rich soil over decades. Underneath, as we discovered by accident, were the fattest red wiggler worms any of us had ever seen. We were no older than ten years old and couldn't really comprehend what we had. Inexplicably, we just dropped the idea of fishing there in favor of catching trout in the creek a couple of miles away. We would drop a wriggling worm under the outstretched branches of trees hanging over the water and watch as dozens of bass of varying sizes would zero-in on the worm. They may still be there, more than fifty years later, for all that I know. The 'Rez' was the secondary holding pond for the local water company and while we were never run-off of the property we knew that it was loosely forbidden to go there. I believe that the water company didn't want to have to deal with kids falling in as kids are want to do. What a place.
I dont think it cheating, but in my state its against the law to use goldfish. we use giant shiners.
Worse bait fish you can use....
@@truewealth50 ya ok
@@truewealth50 Lol
I don't think its a good idea anywhere, invasive species introduction
Wonder if it’s California?
Oh my gosh. ....when is the next video!
OMGOSHHHH U DO THE SAME THING AHAHAHAH

Catch Em All Fishing I’m a sub to you.your one of my favorite fishing CZcams’s I have the bell on and everything I wat h every vid that comes out.
he is making a bigger pond did u not watch his videos for zack or with bama bass???
Make sure you tell your people (subbers) that in some states it's illegal to use gold fish like in state of Fla. Thanks JT
Alot of them carry something i forget it is very bad for fish in lakes pounds
Id already watched this video, here for round 2 but HAD to tell you how much I enjoy your pond videos as well as seeing them in the tanks. THANK YOU and keep um coming. I'm a 47 year old man BTW and feel like you're one of the top guys here and wish you continued success!
He legit showed my house in this video 😂
OMG this guy obviously lives an outdoorsman's dream... Imagine living on a property that has 17lbs+ bass along with some of the biggest trophy bucks I've ever seen!!! The deer mount second to the right had to be close to a state record typical... And those non typicals are INCREDIBLE!!!
I just threw my phone out the window... WE NEED PART 2!!!!
I love your vids mate keep it up !!! It's amazing seeing these big 12 lb + basses it's just magnificent !!!! Take care champ - all the way from australia
Basses😂
PS: I've also caught bass in the 60s 8 lb range while pike fishing with 14 in crankbaits. Definitely a cool video. Love it no matter where you are.
your guide really didnt want to untie the boat... lmao
It would have taken the guide longer then 30 minutes to get up off his seat, untie , and get over to that Bass. So you guys made out in the long run. Unless your hooked onto a 15lb plus he ain't moving out of reverse. Nice video men.
10p
Looks like that was the only honey-hole. Perhaps he didn't want to disturb it.
It would have killed him to get off his ass lol
Lazy bastard
I caught my PB 24 years ago on a cooked left over shrimp, lol.. Around 7#
Now that's a first for me, never tried that bait!
It was in Florida at dawn, definitely caught us by surprise.. I had it under a bobber..
How you got leftover shrimp? That’s usually what I always eat first!
GabooNx I caught my pb small mouth after about 8 spotted cow beers and a few smokes of numerous "tobaccos" using a bobber and worm just relaxing enjoying the last few days of vacation. I had been pounding my usual spots in door county WI waking up at 4 a.m. fishing until dark. It had been one of the slowest trips to WI I had ever had. Who would of thought I would have caught a pb 7.4 lb 24 inch small mouth when I stopped trying!
lies... nobody has left over shrimp 🤣
In my state using an invasive fish species for bait it's illegal and just plain dumb. Nice fish though, but why not use 1lb bluegill or shiner?
J Tarver the only law I follow is God’s law, the only bait is use is neutered nuts from Labrador retreivers. I’ve never caught under 10 pounds.
I can't believe my eyes after growing up with a fifty cent carp bounty. I haven't seen much that shocks me but using goldfish for bait takes the cake. What happens when that 'private pond' floods? Do people even think these days beyond what they are 'allowed'?
Yep, the inbred's don't think about the ecological damage they do, they live for the moment and don't think about the future. Invasive goldfish (carp) are a problem in many states. Notice no one answered your question?
@@yaomingyungsun So your life is ruled by bronze age supernatural mythology invented by primitive Arabs? I wouldn't brag about that lol
I'm sorry..no. I don't know your F&G regs. But is it legal to farm state records?? Love the largemouth and have a 13.2 caught on a $1 black Wal-Mart single blade spinnbait.
using an invasive species as bait is just a bad idea
Depresso expresso not unless you kill it first
Depresso expresso nah. Not really
That’s how you fuk the natural balance might as well use baby snake head Asian carp so on none caring dumb assesssss
It’s not illegal in every state and maybe it doesn’t even affect the ecosystem there. So learn something before you speak please.
Thats so bad to use a goldfish as bait, its eggs can lay dorment untill another passes by and fertilises it, and there could already be multiple goldies in there to breed, thats a terrible idea
0:46
Holy slabs! The size of that crappie got me all sorts of excited!
Great video man! Very interesting way of fishing. Looks like a lot of fun.
Still sort of waiting for that part 2 to drop. 😂😂
My largest large mouth was caught on a fingerling bass.
It had to be over 6lbs.
Here in NJ, that's a big bass.
And I think I five pound bass is big🤣
i was just thinking the same thing lol
5 plus lb bass are big
it is
Where i live a 3lb bass is ginormous
It is a respectable fish. A few of them we'll keep you in the winnings
That drag pull at the end, you know it’s about to get serious.
“ Look at that mouth, that’s one nice lookin fish” easy sailor.
Your tone is scaring me.
it is always amazing at what size live baits will be taken by a fish.....Thanks for Sharing Sir....
This end has me straight up mad. WHEN IS THE NEXT VIDEO STEPHEN?!?!?!?!?!
That was a beautiful double bass mount! Those big white tails were pretty too!
Omg if you get caught using gold fish in Louisiana you don't even want to know the fine.
Jeffrey Moran why?
@@davidsalinas1081 Goldfish are a highly invasive species that destroy ecosystems by competing with the native species for food and once they start breeding (and they breed fast) there is almost no stopping them. So fishing with live or even dead ones is a terrible idea . Near where I live they found a dead 12 pounder . Just Google Dont let it loose or "Invasive Goldfish" to learn more.
Also contain a chemical that gives them their color which poisons fish leading to the death of one or possibly several large female bass
Quick search shows you're full of sht and Louisiana is totally cool with fishing with goldfish. Clown
In texas u go to jail
I would not recommend using live goldfish for bass because they are invasive and if they escape there goes the environment the goldfish will be to big for bass
Yes but they can’t reproduce if there isn’t a breeding pair and they won’t live long
I would think this is OK as long as every goldfish used dies, they aren't spawning and no moron empties the baitwell in the pond at the end of the day. One fish can't spawn alone.
@@unicornsteaks6769 wait until you get caught by another angler who follows the law or even the game warden you will get 2 risks the first is go to jail the second is getting a terrible fine so I wouldn't recommend using goldfish for live bait
crispo gaming you clearly can’t comprehend. It’s not illegal in AL and that’s a private fishery. So that other angler with the fists is a trespasser on his way to jail.
Although it would be nice if someone came up with a sterile hybrid goldfish for this purpose.
Can we all take a second to appreciate those giant whitetails on the wall🙊
I would be 100% accurate i think to say all were high fence deer. All show no expertise in anything by the way they fish and flaunt the mounts. See more big bucks in fenced farm and pet them too! Shallow Hal.......Here boy lemme put this here gold fish on yer line and cast it fer ya. Record bites we will call it yers!
@@FondelMikeRotch no doubt theyre high fence deer but theyre still giants
Maniak lmaooooooo you fuckers back east make me laugh 😂 “giant whitetail” should not go in a sentence together at all........after its field dressed tht thing isn 130-150 pounds
Someone probably fed them every morning too and tied em to a post so he could shoot them. Does the term shooting fish in a barrel sound accurate here? Maybe we should change it to shooting deer on a leash lol.
Dude that was a serious cliffhanger 😂😤
"He has told me these 14, 15, 17 pound class fish, its just impossible to get them to bite artificial baits"
Two words...
BUTCH BROWN.
And matt allen
Kinda funny my dads old fishing buddy is named Butch Brown. They used to joke around that he was the one lol
Still waiting for part 2, killing me here!!!!
Just catch a 12 pounder and throw him in the trout pond and come back in 5 years and you'll have a state record to catch on a live trout
Cayden Brown some states it’s illegal to fish with live trout
Some states it’s illegal to fish with gold fish lol
lmao
not here it's not we fish with 3lb bass to catch the big ones
Terrypaul Legg 3lb bass as bait? No way. LOL
I caught my PB LMB on a dead goldfish that size. I cut it in half and both pieces on the hook under a large bobber. I was fishing for catfish. Since then I've targeted bass a few times but I still prefer the cats.
Great video! But If I got caught fishing where I live in southern Ontario using goldfish as bait by the MNR I’d get fines left and right 😂
I would absolutely freak out!! So cool, definitely a bucket list item!
You aint right my mouth was watering to see what you caught
This is amazing! Thanks for sharing
The new back yard pond is cool and all but we need this follow up video!!...
I'm pretty sure any "invasive " goldfish that made it overboard wouldn't be invasive for more than minute or so with those bass with antlers cruising around in that pond.
It's still being ignorant as all can be
cant wait for the bond notificationsquad
Am I the only one who immediately flashed to “He can’t stay down with two barrels...” Captain Qwint.
Farewell and adue to me fair Spanish lady's.
Thinking the same thing Brodie tie me on another balloon
Those whitetails impressed me even more!!!!
i really enjoy your videos brotha..makes me wanna get back out there...n i definitely need a stress reliever
Only thing i would be concerned with, is if some of those goldfish got released accidentally. Then you would have a serious problem in the lake... otherwise nice fish making that drag scream
Would it still be an issue if the bass are eating them? I know they can get huge if they don't have any predators, but also most ponds don't have a plethora of 15lb+ bass.
It's really an issue of them being able to breed faster than fish can eat them. I remember a couple years ago they had to drain an entire lake in Colorado to thin them out. If I recall correctly someone released 4 fish, and there were thousands just a couple years later.
That’s why it is illegal to use an invasive species as bait in most States.
sps8807 why thy jus get eating,...well some others would have little gold fish,,,,,y'all about dumb to nature lol,,,I guess being a va hillbilly pays off
Nice theory, the problems with invasive species in many waterways say you don't know what you're talking about though.
I just duct taped my remote back together. Yes I watched this on my big screen.
3:11 but wait he was just holding him the way he said to never do lol
Is the other video not out? I can't find it??
One of your "goldfish" was a beautiful butterfly koi.... 0n0
Shauna Rae Lol who cares
not anymore :D
Anthony Pacheco not exactly but they are all carp

I gots a pond with thousands of gold fish, never thought of selling them but got dam who needs gold fish.
Well I'm hungry and I ran out of dogs and cats. Do they taste the same?

Oh ya yes yes yess
Man when is part 2 coming out?!
The pictures can't do it justice you really have to be there in person. I was in a guy's house in New Jersey doing some service work and he had the state record mounted on the wall impressive
8:46 - He was just showing off his nose ring to the other fish. 😂
That crappie....jaw drop
I have been told by Southern Pond Management that big (>10 pounds) Florida strain bass are very wary and for the most part will only take live bait.
I use live bait for big fish, and it's amazing how a big fish can pull a big float down and hold it there. It's like on Jaws, where the barrel goes down and stays down.
It takes a pretty big fish to hold a big float down. 😂😳😍
I wouldn't consider that cheating. But it's illegal in md.
MS too
Most states it’s illegal on state managed lakes, but private lakes you can do whatever.
I think Florida too
Josh Harris yes Florida. People once and likely still do use feeder fish 4 crappie.
New Jersey as well. But everything is illegal here.
Respect for the man saying always hold them side ways true fisher men know this rule!
Young Richter why is that?
@@codymoore7390 late but its real bad for their jaws, they get heavy and that stresses the fish
Can’t wait to start my own koi pond! Gonna fish for those big carp using bluegill! I hear they get huge!
Hey appreciate the video and did u feel you had to heavy tackle seemed to easy to reel them in?
NIce its all about the hunt!! Let's see an official record!
How big was that Crappie? I've caught same slabs in my time, but damn.
WickedDealer about 16 is my biggest
I think world record crappie came out of a pond, it was over 5 pounds
theown32 it was 5.7, it came out of a pond less than 10 minutes away from my house earlier this year
Biggest Crappie I have ever caught was 11 inches Just a few weeks ago. I do not target them though. I was fishing a small crank bait down the banks with my ultra light. I would completely freak if I pulled in a 5 pound crappie. I get excited over a 3lb bass lol
i hope ur talking inches not pounds
These guys must've robbed the goldfish ping-pong game at the fair the night before
We have strict laws on using non-native fish species as live bait in Kansas. I've seen some absolute monsters cruising around here that won't take any kind of lure or presentation. Good luck getting that record Bass.
In germany is fishing with live baet ilegel :)
Moin moin traurig wie der koi verschwenden wurde
Take me there! I wanna catch goldfish, grass carp, 2 lb bluegill, and 10 lb bass!
No prob the fat guy only charges 500 a day. Goldfish cost extra. Lol
I have not used live or natural bait my entire adult life. But the warm water fishing here is Pa has been so lousy I've been tempted to try it. Maybe it will be like revisiting my childhood but struggling with it.
You’re voice sounds a lot like Destin from Smarter Everyday
Bass fishing with a Calcutta lol
A bunch of guys in the swimbait community use calcuttas. They are a virtually bulletproof reel.
Don’t fish swimbaits do ya
If you see someone with a Calcutta and and a heavy rod chances are they know to find big bass.

It's against the law to fish with goldfish in Wisconsin ... They are actually a carp ... That if they get off will grow to full size
And that’s how u get the carp invasion it’s like COVID
Great video brother! keep up the great content!
Where can I get fishing reel and rod like the one in video. Salt water rig
old bass are hard to fool with lures, and in that case live bait isn't really cheating in my opinion
TheKrosanRyuGaming Ya honestly you think they got that big from biting lots of lures nooo!
U can’t use gold fish as live bait.. if fishing game catch him that 10,000$ fine
@@victyper301 most places goldfish are perfectly legal to fish with. I checked and Alabama says yes to goldfish.
And this is exactly how you end up with invasive species in your Lake
Ty Witzel I was thinking the same thing. I avoided fishing with goldfish or whatever in my ponds because I didn’t want 20 pound gold fish lol. (Then again, that might be fun lol). But surely the owner thought of that, and has a plan. I’m not sure what that plan would be, or if there is such a plan. But it wouldn’t take long to have a pretty sizable population of goldfish.
@@BillMarion I don't know man..this whole thing looks like one big clusterfucked shit show if you ask me..'is it a fish?, is it snagged?, fish still on?, he's stuck on a rock pile, can you see a rock?'...fuckin headache dude...lmao..and the hand feeding? Idk man..
It's his lake haha
GiantGrowth420 his lake yeah, still can ruin the ecosystem and any body of water connected to it. The lake has to drain out some how, so goldfish can’t escape
GiantGrowth420 just because it’s his doesn’t mean it still can’t wreck an ecosystem or be transported other places by uneducated people
this is like using a golden retriever to catch a wolf
When are you posting part 2?
Absolutely loved this episode!
It's not cheating if it works, cheating at fishing is somehow creating a magnet that only magnitizes fish
Looks like a lot of goldfish fans watched this video. 😂😂😂
When fishing for big fish with a float, it's best to leave the reel "open" so the fish doesn't pull the rod in. I love the clicker on my baitcaster.
jesus, that's how koi or big goldfish end up in ponds :D
they are beautiful
1 month. Did he catch it or not I’m still pretty hyped
What kind of bait was the goldfish using?
