Congratulations on finishing five awesome years in the van and bringing us Drifter Journey. I still remember the “good ole’ days” when we worked at the Climbing Wall! You two rock!
Thanks Rodney! We're excited for this next chapter and still plan on getting back on the road often once the house is done. Now we just need to see if we can still handle winter. We hope you're doing great and love seeing you still getting after it in the mountains.
I am so so sad to see the end of vanlife journey, but am incredibly excited to see where the next journey takes you. I hope if you go to Baja for the winter, we get to see more food, surfing, fishing videos. Your Baja videos made us go. ❤❤

Thanks for watching! It's has been a wild year but we're finally getting close to having the house done. The property will be slowly built our to meet our needs as we find time and money. To he honest, we know of Trent and Allie but haven't followed. We'll have to check out what they're up to.

Where in Colorado did you find land to buy? We live in Colorado and would like to retire in Colorado, but finding property with no HOA has been difficult. If you don’t mind sharing some details on a general area that you could steer us to- that would be great! Thanks so much!
Thanks for watching! Finding a place with no HOA can get interesting these days. Some of the more rural counties seem to have more HOA free land. We're in far SW Colorado in Archuleta County. There are some spots without HOA's and the county building restrictions weren't too crazy.

They are so much fun to drive! We're looking forward to putzing around in it until our new travel rig is ready!

Did you ever have clearance problems with that back axel driving off road especially in Baja?did you have a lift kit? And did that help ?
Thanks for watching! We never really had any issues with the back axel. It's a dumb design and I always wished it was higher but we were able to manage reasonable routes as long as we had good wheel placement. We may have love tapped a few rocks here and there.

@@DrifterJourneyBuilding a home is a big endeavor but I think it's worth it. Lots of headaches but when it's done those headaches fade away. I love my home and it truly is my dream home. Your headed for lots of stress and frustration, but take it one day at a time.

We spend an average of $2000 per month, some places like Baja cost less and places like the East Coast are expensive. After driving all over, we've figured our average ended up being around 2k/mo.

We share a mutual love for adventures, 4x4s, exploring and of course camping! We have toured the entirety of Canada and Pacific Northwest US. Now recently living in Utah, we are ready to see new sights!
Utah has a lot of awesome places to see. We thought about moving there at one point. We're glad you found your person!
@@DrifterJourney It's beautiful here! I love the change in biomes, all in one place! Beautiful forests, mountains, beautiful open green plains, gorgeous deserts (I love deserts!), canyons, oh especially the slot canyons! Moab! Lol In Vancouver I had to drive as far south as nearly California to start seeing any significant changes in geology or biodiversity lol

@@lunamaria1048 exactly! The different landscapes are awesome. The ZR2 wants to make a Moab appearance as soon as it cools off enough to camp.
Why not in Baja where we can still afford to live? This place is a sinking ship.
We've gone back and forth about buying in Baja for years. You never know, we may still buy a place there one day! The sad truth is that many places is Baja are no longer affordable either. Too many expats driving prices up.
@@DrifterJourney true. But there’s hidden gems. You can still find affordable housing in Baja to buy. My end goal in BCS. 5-7 years from now.
