Jess this is the first video I’ve seen since you sold the van. Kevin and Taylor are in Baja and wish you and Greg were there with them. You have made great progress, the kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Soon you will be nice and cozy in your living room in front of the fire enjoying your own home. Great job. Oh and a 10 ft garage means you can build a new van!
Thanks for watching! We really wanted to go to Baja with them but the timing didn't work out this time. We're hoping to make it happen in the future for sure. As for the garage, we did that just in case. We learned that we don't want to build outside again. Just need to come up with some funds......

Hi Jess & Lupe yup I feel your PAIN over budget and subs don’t care of the guy’s workmanship I see day after day and it’s gotten worse really bad 🤬please move the stairs you’ll be happier

It's sad to see some of the carelessness when Greg and I work so hard to do things right. I really wish we could move the stairs... I wish I would've known what was going to happen with the snow before we tied the stairs into the house and poured the concrete piers. Lesson learned. We may try to extend the roof just 6 inches or so and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for watching and for always supporting us!
Your house is looking great! I'd be interested in pretty much any house and homestead stuff you want to put out. Costs for sure, but also your challenges, mistakes, lessons learned, pleasant surprises, things you did right and are proud of, things worth spending money on. That sort of thing. Even the more detailed stuff like your materials and fixture choices in this video I'm finding interesting.

I live in southern Colorado... Well's are INSANLY expensive now. I don't blame you. It really was a good idea to grab that lot too, we have 10 acres in P-West and are going to try for a Barndo build. I have my reservations.
I hope you can find someone to do a barndo for less than what we found! It's really too bad about well prices... maybe one day we can make it happen. 10 acres is great- that will be amazing!

Just some words of encouragement… I know it’s stressful and maybe scary financially with y’all’s decisions, but from the outside looking in y’all are brave, adventurous, and pioneers of life. It’s super inspiring to look at y’all’s life and see the project you’ve taken on. Keep on keepin on. Even if you need to take a break from sharing the progress, take care of yalls self. I would love to own land someday to hunt, grow crops, etc. and it’s nice to see y’all get after it. 😊

But the long term vision is what we do it for - like you said, the hunting, gardening and such. We're looking forward to having our own little corner of the world to do that.
