I'm repainting it boys! You'll see it on tomorrow's video for Aug 6 where Im working on a gasser wagon.
Diecast Resurrection
I don’t know why,, that is badass..😎
Im presuming the pin stripe pissed you off ?
I loved the pin stripe.
Could put a decal on the hood of the truck too
I liked the orange and silver
I turned 51 this year and I’m just now starting this thing with hot wheels and such. Tinkering and fabricating has caught my attention. You’re demonstrations and cometary has kept me riveted. I started buying these little things and have been slowly building up the tools and equipment required. You’re channel is one of the top three I refer to. Thanks for doing it.
Do the studebaker cab with the ramp truck back. Might look cool together
Yeah
Can you make a video of you playing with all your cars with sound effects and jimmy.
Yesssssss he needs to
Isn’t that just every episode though?
Love the paint but that truck looked awesome in bare metal !!
Austin have you shown your little heat/dry box off? I know you use a bulb. I'm interested on how it looks so I can build something myself
Hiiii guuuyyyyssss an welcome to another matchbox garage comment. Lol lol I love yo stuff too man. Y'all keep my childhood going.
How much longer till the 2nd part of the Trans-am? I seriously cannot wait
Something is going on with the post service around here. Still no bumper. I might just finish the video without it.
@@DiecastResurrection "f" the bumper, carry on with or without it! We want to go cruising in it! LOL! 👍😁✌
The build was cool, I like it! You're entertaining as well!
Hey, you didn’t do the “brup brup brup brup” in the begging 😂
Right!? I need the Brub brub brub
I got to where I walk around doing that dang blub blub blub crap lol
No, I believe its bloop. Lol
Oh no! What have I started!! 🤦🏻♂️
Do a viral Matchbox car blub blub blubblub blubblub matchbox car blub blub blubblub blubblub!! lol
Looks quite tasty. Yes, please do custom kit-bashes. That Studebaker cab is a good candidate for something wild. Extend it into a delivery Suburbanesque thing or even a portable hot-tub.
Really nice truck!! And the color at the end was waaaay better than the one it had originally without the clear coat!!!!
This was a sweet custo Buddy. Love the sparkly chocolate. You did a great job with the overall shape. It really worked out just right.
Sweet custom! I wasn't really feeling the paint job prepubescent lol, then that division helped a little bit. But then the surprise root beer reveal put a big smile on my face! 😊👍In high school I had a friend who's father had a hotrod 55 F100 that was root beer brown candy. Loved that thing...
That paint job looks really cool. The brown over the yellow created a really cool effect. It kinda makes me want to paint my real yellow 51 Ford F-1 candy rootbeer. I can't afford to repaint my whole truck but it sure looks cool in 1/64.
The brown was the way to go! Have you ever put a wood look in the bed?
Very nice Custom. Looks cool. Maybe wooden sidewalls and a stowagerack on the reardeck would make the truck more useful.
Fantastic build and I give you high marks for the concept and design of the Blubbing Tuck, but I feel you need to do the top as you have done the bottom..it would flow a lot better and that seems to be the sheen and color you need for the amazing ride. Still over all amazing work per your usual Austin!
Color looks better now. Silver looks like metallic shining through the fenders. Custom job on the back is Great. 👍
As a model train nut you should have left it at yellow over silver. It looked like a Western Pacific diesel locomotive paint job from the early 1960s!
As for decaling you have to give clearance for the clear edge around the black on a flat surface. It is very hard to get it straight over wheel covers.
You should also cut to fit each part of the decalsfor each body line separately! Do the bed then the cab.
To make the decal set right before clear coating I always use Walther's Solvaset or Microscale Industries Microset.
You only have to wait 15 minutes to dry. Looks like a root beer truck now!
Needs a couple of big upright aluminum exhaust pipes behind each corner of the cab. Yes! She needs pipes!🔥🔥 Oh those surfboards need a custom
1/43rd scale beach pickup. Another custom build may be in order!!!🌊
Another great video 👍🏻 I really look forward to your videos....you have such good ideas......those surf 🏄 boards look great
These in depth and really custom type projects are my favorite to build and watch!
Stubby Blubs!!! Looks so freakin cool!
The underbottom was indeed tidy... and now Jimmy has some sweet boards to hang ten... *Big Chocolate* making waves...
I like the color a lot. Very unique!! Those surfboards are the "bee's knees" too.
He's so haole he don't even know he's haole! 🏄
Rad lil boards, and great custom build, love that color you ended up at! Need to build a sweet mini 4x4 with rack to haul the boards next.
Great color !! Would have been a really good looking car hauler as well ...
Keep 'em coming and Thank You for sharing this with us.
That's one of the coolest trucks I've ever seen. There's something about it that looks, and feels, completely... Right. If you get my drift. Nice one.
That is a killer truck! Love the paint. Looks like it could have been sold this way.
Looks good. I never thought a Studebaker bed would look good on a Ford like that, but it looks ok. I've got a real 1949 Studebaker truck, so it has the same bed as that casting.
Beautiful Truck Excelent Job Diecast Ressuraction!!!
Another sick custom, I'd still like to see you do something with that ramp
bro those boards are siiiick! and damn you got some killer patience - just seein you lay that pin stripe got me on edge, because i knew you had to do it twice!
sick build and diggin the chocolate/rootbeer - def need more Frankenstein builds, but that truck is screamin for some exhaust stacks
Pretty sweet for a truck you made out of the parts bin! I like the bronze colour on the bottom of it, the top.....not so much. It might have looked better silver over bronze, but it's finished now so whatever.
Those boards you got look awesome, they would've looked so sweet in the back of the Merc woody (if they were the right scale).
Great Job looks Great!
Big chocolate is very cool, the Studebaker bed is cool and the surf boards are badass ! 🍻
Get yourself a secondary moist trap for the airbrush (also helps improve the grip a little, imo at least), should hopefully help so you don't get that issue again (as long as you keep an eye on the first trap... ;) )
Nice end result as well, liking the wacky color. Way better than before.
Also....duuuuuude, the way the clear coat acted like a wash makes the cab look like it's porcelain. That's amazing.
just a friendly tip or two. if you use micro sol/set the decal will sit better on it. if you gloss the truck before you put the decal on (i know the colors you use are already gloss) then dull it down and re-gloss it the decal film wont be seen as much. may want to try this one out on something you dont want
My favorite kind of builds to do.....FULL CUSTOMS! looks good man
There was something about this truck when it was bare and when it was yellow and silver that really made me think of ol diesel electric trains...like an old EMD F7. Perhaps it was the big gap in the front without the grill....Anyway, I just thought I'd mention it if you wanted to look them up. Thanks for the video.
That is actually a really cute but tough little truck and I'm actually liking the colour too. Now that you've caught the cutting up cars bug I'm excited to see what else you'll come up with.
What an awesome little creation and paint job. A deep green with tiny little sparkles would have looked great also..I enjoy watching your channel.
I ended up repainting it, you'll see it in a video a few days after this one. I did a teal with some sparkles, so pretty close. I don't remember which video I showed it in though.
What a paint job. The truck looks amazing. Well done.
Another great color change. That truck needed a darker color on the bottom to push the fenders into the background. Good choice. I liked the silver and orange combo but the silver made the fenders and bumper "pop" too much. You have a good eye.
Interesting color you ended up with. Set up a junkyard diorama of your collection and walk us through it and you can figure out your next projects.
Well done! As always. You Sir are, "The Master"
Really liked that ramp truck idea man. Was a little disappointed when you changed the plan, but this still came out amazing!
Very, very COOL!👍👍
Watching one of your videos is like watching a thriller - you never know what's going to happen next. Just saw your comment about repainting it. Good choice. "Chocolate" is not a color. Well done, champ! Favorite line: "Why you gotta do me like dat, yellow."
Really nice! Another combination you could've tried; Cream top with red bottom..
Them surfboards are slick
I enjoy seeing you create original designs. This truck is badass.
And your paintjobs are always stellar:)
I actually liked the two tone paint you had on there and was applying the pinstripes. Turned out great regardless.
Wow the brown is SO MUCH BETTER than the silver and yellow. More Frankenstein cars please!
Sweet truck. Good move on the box idea. Turned out great.
I am 100% here for more frankencars! Love that sparkly brown over the silver, looks slick!
Loving that look and that color...my dad had an old Ford around that same year, almost the same color as the lower half, brings back good ole memories. Keep up the great work.!!!!
Nice build. Definitely would like to see more mix and match stuff.
Looks so much better as a solid color piece, that color goes good with the cab...
Probably my favourite vídeo of your artwork, Congrats my friend......!!!👏😀
I love the truck man is super cool keep doing what you're doing
Thanks for the tip on drying the epoxy on a lightbulb. It's so nice not having to wait 24 hours for it to dry
That build is mint.keep up the awesome work.colour on the truck suits it.looks real badass.
Diecast, For those problematic decals try Walters Sol-v-Set and leave them over night, you'll like the results also a very little will go along way! Great bashing, I like your G.M. Bakers Chocolate Sandwich Pickem Up!
I love it when you cut up the cars and do your own thing. Shows how creative you really are. Keep the blubs coming. And thanks for bringing us along.
just down right kool . i enjoy watching your builds . i have over 3000 hot wheels in original packages , i cannot bring myself to open any of my cars . so this channel helps me . thanx and keep up the good work .
That looks cool! What you could do to hide the bubbling is just add a bit of rusty weathering...like the guy who drives it lives where roads get salty.
I’d love to see you do a custom build where you chop and channel a car like they do in real life.
As always love the work!!!! And the way that paint came out was cool.. and I named the truck!!!......The Root Beer Wagon.
Super sweet Dr. Diecast, I think it would look nice with some wooden stakes on the bed. Love that color. Great job as always.
Those surfboards are so awesome. Now Jimmy can go surfing!
Amazing! I love the color you're right it fits the truck.
The surf boards are great to see the talents out there. You got me working on miniatures. Painting the small 1:64 people they are tiny I had to put magnify glasses on.
1:08 somone been spending to many nights on the corner
I dig it! looks cool. The mopar rallye wheels look a bit odd to me. but thats only because I know they're mopar Rallye wheels XD. You did a great job on the pinstripe. I've been there myself many times, and its the most frustrating little thing to get on nicely.
Wow.. Awesome work
Idea: Stubby Bob!
Hey Austin nice job I called there a Hershey chocolate ride that’s what I would call her , She’s beautiful only thing I would change is I would put a wood little railing around the top of the bed but that’s about it other than that she looks great nice job
That is a cool ride.. Paint is nice, great color.
Build a wrecker box for the Stud cab. The ramp was a good idea but i dont see many wreckers.
Awesome work by the way. Very impressive.
You definantly made a good choice with the truck deck as the studebaker cab would suit the transporter deck way better than the snub nose. . . . Thumbs up buddy 😎👍
Great truck, great colour, great sound effects..... but wheres jimmy got to 😂🤣😂🤣
Funky
That looks awesome! I like the way the light plays across it!
The first paint scheme you tried is very reminiscent of the old Denver & Rio Grand Western railroad's livery that it used on its California Zephyr diesel locomotives. Silver below, yellow above, with thin black stripes in between.
Awesome job again! My little relaxation and peace for the day.
Brotherman, I really like watching your videos. They give me inspiration to move forward and start doing my own customs.
Turned out Amazing, love the color. Would love to see more of these kind of videos, cutting and creating masterpieces.
Great looking truck! I like your customized vehicles because they're coming out VERY NICE.
Say hi to Jimmy for me.
awesome blubs hauler for jimmy awesome build
That truck is Badass you did a amazing job buddy thanks for sharing great work 👍👍👌
Very cool . And yes I would love to see more custom creations 👍👍😊
Love how it turned out. Customs our awesome who wants what everyone else has.
That two tone purple paint job from the bone shaker, would have been bad ass on this ride....
Wow best fit and finish on the carriage I have ever seen, and the color went from not to hot great job
I think the Studebaker with the ramp and a new paint job would look awesome.
That's sweet dude, sweet! Great job!
Sweet color... i see shimmery sparkles... blub blub... 😃 Jimmy gets the best rides in town. There are a few ancient flat beds around our region that were last strictly used to move hay on the farm once upon a time, and no longer road worthy. every time i see them I'm thinking... ooh that would be a sick z'd rod ... repurposed to a fun toy instead of rotting away
Nice ride there man!
Love the 2 tone. Definitely better than the yellow/silver. Killin it ma freen!
Now get that dually frame and studebaker cab and go to town on a rat rod. I so wanna see you do that. Awesome video man.
I think it looks awesome. It definitely looks better now. Thanks for another cool custom.
