Great video, Ram! I recently got the WRM 4x4 and I also think it may be too tight out of the box. I'm using the MGC until I figure out the proper setup on the WRM.

I just got the Aosu WRM.. granted it needs to break-in and I have to figure out the tension and lube setup.. but I've been using the X-man Ambition for a couple months now and personally prefer the lighter and crispy feel over the WRM myself. Time will tell! 🤙

But yj mgc is used by many good solvers like feliks zemdegs,matty hiroto inaba ( he has 24 sec average) , kunal oak and many others. Also mine yj mgc can easily corner cut what wrm can and it's quite stable.
Maybe mine is just bad then 😂 but yeah I definitely like my WR M a lot more.
@@RamThakkar yours is probably ded tho. You got it quite a long time ago. I bought mine, December last year and it’s ded too
My MGC at its prime was definitely worse than the WR M I have now too.

Hi Ram, First of all congrats on collabing with j perrm! Here is why I disagree with this vid
1: The mgc 4x4 has the BEST corner cutting then the wrm i used to use the wrm but it did not corner cut for i even when i loosned it it popped.
2: the mgc is WAYYYYYYY faster then the mgc 4x4 but i lube the wrm with fast lube like dnm it doesnt work
3: The wrm pops a LOT i mean A LOT that i was doing parity the cube broke :(
thats why i main the mgc instead of the wrm. If you disagree with me its totally fine all of us have diffrent opinions!

4 Drops of Martian (2 drops each on opposite sides)
2 Drops of Lunar
Weight 3 on tracks.
I've mentioned my setup at 1:46 :) Hydra's setup would probably work well too! Make sure your cube is decently loose btw.
@@RamThakkar No! It’ll pop quite a lot on loose tensions. It medium tensions with my setup and some breaking in will lead to it not being as catchy, tho minor catches still occur every 4-5 solves
@@criccreationz6107 mine is fairly loose and as mentioned, I barely get pops LOL. Though not sure what the case for others might be.
@@RamThakkar depends on the turning style to. Urs is pretty chill and smooth. I was suggesting keeping in mind CG’s turning style since his style is quite rough.

I both agree and disagree. (This is all my opinion, you all have your own opinions)
Agreed because-
It’s genuinely good and is quite fine out of the box.
It’s size is a little smaller than the MGC. It’s 59mm which makes it comfortable in the hands.
Disagree because-
Not value for money (It’s very expensive)
The MGC offers a better price and performance ratio. It’s almost just as good if not as good as the wrm.
If you need a smaller 4x4, the Meilong M and the Zhilong Mini M 4x4’s are quite decent at less than half the price.
The WRM is catchy out of the box and needs some setup for it to be brought to its full potential.

Tbh MGC is great but I don't think it is close to the performance of the wrm... and mgc has too many pops and it too has a lot of catches.....Ik if you loosen the tensions then there won't be any catches but then it pops too much.
@@chargedcuber3567 haven’t faced that problem ever. It might not suit your turning style. You either risk popping on the MGC on loose tensions or 1-2 minor catches. The WR M on the other hand, catches no matter what. Coming from me, who has a pretty smooth and chill turning style
@@chargedcuber3567 also, MGC is perhaps 95% of WRM’s performance at less that 50% of the price
