Thanks so much joy , I rechecked and followed the steps as shown in the video , I have a question I intend to visit Schengen during Easter as a first time traveller , should filling this forms be the 1st step I take or I should make sure I have my traveling insurance ? I would be expecting your response thanks.
Fill the application form first, then select an appointment date for biometrics before getting your travel insurance.

Hi Joy, thank you for this video. i booked an appointment for a Paris visa for my mom and the application form carries Abuja but i accidentally booked the appointment in Lagos, i am scared that they may turn her away, can she get a new application form and hand fill it in the embassy or what do you reckon?

I don’t think that is enough to turn her down sis. It’s a rectifiable error which can be corrected on her appointment day. When she gets there that day, let her report it and the staff will edit this on their system. It’s very ignorable.

I'm not working and I'm also not a student but i have a cousin in france i want to go and visit how much is required to be in my account ( proof of funds ) before i can apply for the visa and can i do the whole process without an agent and pls what receipt do you said i need to carry along my documents when I'm going to submit it
The amount you’re supposed to have roughly is about £120 for two days so you can calculate that in naira. It’s flexible to change so make sure to have something around that amount.
For the agent question, you DO NOT need an agent to do this. This video I made was to guide you to do it yourself. I also created a video before this one that explains it more thoroughly. You can find it here 👇

You will need to present all your required documents at the visa centre on your biometrics appointment day.

That will be helpful as they need an evidence of what you’re going there for. They are usually strict with their visas

For the application fee, you don’t need cash. You pay by card. You need travel insurance and can get this online.

So multiply this by the number of days you’re staying there

I DO NOT have a company I’m afraid. And to apply for tourist visa on your own, yes you will need a bank statement in the corner.

Yes, if it’s a go and fro flight. But for someone going for Masters, you should only be needing a transit visa not tourism and as such don’t need to get the travel health insurance.
Travel health insurance is only for Tourism/to and fro visas.
For your second question, yes. You need to book your flight and be sure your flight is going through the Schengen area before filling out the videx form.

I applied for mine online, like by just typing buy travel insurance online. Maybe you can try that too.
It comes from post offices. You can find some around you too.

@RasheedTaiwo-lp1xh you will need to apply for those online. Book flight, apply for travel insurance. Hotel is not a must.

Thank you for the insightful video on how to fill Schengen visa application, however the appointment video was wrong I as I follow the steps you demonstrated in the video only for me not to get an appointment a month after I then checked again only to find out that the appointment step you showed in the video was for passport application and notarization.

1. Schengen Visa (short-term stay up to 90 days), i.e. for visit, business or tourism.
2. Immigrant / Long term Visa (staying more than 90 days), i.e. for family reunion or for employment purposes in Germany or study purposes.
