@@WalkwithMideNancy I tried booking an appointment be the website keeps up bringing me to the first page and I have already filled me form on the website. I asked my aunty over there she told me that during the Olympics game there is always a delay in receiving my appointment date and I feel like the time she processed her visa is different from how it been done now and she did her's more than 20 years ago. I don't know please I need your advice on this

If your program will be in French, yes campus france will interview you in French and if it would be on English, they would interview you as well in English.
There will be no visa interview. Only campus france interview before visa application.

Thanks for this info, please do you know if one can change appointment centre, like if you prefer Lagos to Abuja. Also do you know what happens if you put Abuja in the form and pick lagos as your centre for appointment?
That’s a tough one.
Tbh, I don’t know anyone who has done this so I cannot say.
Maybe you could try and see what happens, after all it’s all gonna get to Abuja for approval anyways. What I know is that in Lagos, on your appointment day, they will only check your appointment letter and passport then usher you in.

Thanks for your response. Is it necessary to provide a prove of accommodation booking and is there a way you can get that without making payment yet.
Also, how many days does it takes after appointments to have a visa approval.
Yes it’s possible to get prove of accomodation by sending messages to as many landlords as possible but most will ask for a deposit fee to be sure you will take it.
But that’s very risky as there are lots of scammers as well
Visa approval depends from one week to a month but you will get it before the project you indicated in your application begins

I believe student visa is always for long academic purposes, but in your case it’s a Visit. Then the purpose of your visit visa will be for research purposes .
So to answer your question, Visit visa will suit your purpose best.

I already did that but considering the fact that my trip is funded and all expenses including my flight and accommodation is funded, do I still need to present a bank statement at the embassy, flight reservations tickets and accommodation booking as the host claimed they will only book the flight and accommodation upon visa approval. Take with you proofs that it’s fully funded and I assume in your application, you already indicated the address, details et al of the host so they will see that.
Print out emails of your conversation where the host said he will pay for the flight upon visa approval et al.
You should be fine if you provide all this proofs.

So do you mean you didn’t go for the appointment yourself?
You need to do your biometrics and all.
Log into your appointment portal or tell the person to log in for you then reschedule your appointment for another day and make sure you go
Without your presence, the whole application is useless.

By application do you mean that you already went to submit your documents for visa at VFS? If yes, they should have given you a code or number to track your passport, but in any case, they will contact you as soon as it’s ready so no worries
