Didn't even get into the drag racing at firebird or shooting guns in the desert!! We have the best rapids in the world and the best land in the lower 48 come over more often!
The fact they completely disappeared shows how monstrous that set of rapids are.
That scared the hell out of me! I thought I just witnessed a boat going to the bottom! I bet it scared them more! Glad they at least made it out ok. I did Laugh at George's stop leak fix though. LOL.

Local Idahoan here: I run that river yearly, and for someone to have the balls to try to go up Howard's with the rivers as high as they are this year is crazy. Glad you're safe Cleet

I've jet boated for many years and so did my father, a few things he taught me was always wear a life jacket, have a bow rope attached to a boat fender (the tube like ones used for yachts are the best because if you run aground you can use that to roll you into deeper water), and never underestimate the power of water.. things can go from 0 to oh f**k real quick
Yea fun times, I've been in mogals so rough that I broke the steering wheel off. Also have sunk two boats (not right under, i managed to get to shallow water both times, had the water up leval with the spark plugs). New Zealand boatings fun but I'm too old and shit scared to do that any more.
Oh yeah I live on the great lakes and here it can go from flat as glass to 15 footers in a very little time I never underestimate the water plus I have hit the water at 30mph and it hurts and can knock someone out real easy so yeah life jacket is always mandatory for sure

That's on any piece of water. I crossed Grand lake with 21 mph winds. I now have a few stories to share with my grandkids.

I have to say… Cleeter is one of the most naturally gifted people I’ve ever seen behind the wheel. He’s excellent at driving so many different types of rigs and picks it up so quickly.. The quick recovery on that first attempt at the rapid was awesome. Pure focus on his face, and pure terror on George’s lol

Howards plunge, last rapid and biggest on the stretch of the north fork of the Payette river called the Cabarton. Next stop Salmon river.

Kudos to Cletus too, for doing it again even after that first plunge. And for being smrt enough to know his rigs limitations. Now, he has to build something bigger and better and come back for this rapid, which is a goal that will pay off better than trying again and again until something went wrong this time.
I wonder if 100 more horsepower and a fresh pump would get him up there in that little thing. I bet cleetus has that company that built the giveaway boat building him a new boat after he saw how nice they can be with all new 2022 stuff

Here in New Zealand, home of the Jet Boats and Jet Units, literally, and some of the wildest white water rapids, I've seen a few accidents on rivers when my parents used to run the safety jet boat behind the jet boat marathon drivers, @6:42 gave me PTSD, I've seen over 7 boats go under and 3 lives lost because of that situation, just please take care, doesn't take long to drown especially in rapids.
