Jason, I have been watching you for a while now and I just wanted to tell you that you’re very very good. You do an excellent job, explaining whatever the product is that you are demonstrating. Keep up the good work young man. You are appreciated.
I appreciate that! Thank you sir!
I have to say that I LOVE the 30A DC port which would actually allow you to hook up a much more efficient low wattage AC inverter for really small load so you don't have to fire up the big (somewhat wasteful) built in AC inverter.
I wander what real world numbers would show since that scenario is using the DC to DC converter and then the DC to AC inverter off your choice.
Nice job Jason! Great review and impressive upgrade. Finally someone listened and came out with the 90 degree cables 🎉
The cables are MUCH more compact!
I have 3 Pecron products and this one is now gonna be my 4th. Love it !!!!!!
I like the upgrades :)
Wow I’m liking this very much for my camping van Thank You Jason.
The large DC output is great for something like that :)
@@JasonoidI think this may be the one I go with if I can sneak it on the credit card that is lol 😂
Thanks Jason for including the clicking test on the solar panels. 👍
You're welcome!
Pecron really stepped up their game on this one. The expansion battery is awesome in that it can be used separately, too bad the main unit doesn't have the same capacity though. I love the 90° cables. It's about time somebody finally listened to the public.
As always comma another fantastic video Jason
Great review as always. Thank you
Thanks for watching!
I'm a "retired" EE, so i really appreciate your thoroughness. I've built & installed several multi KW arrays on my roof and property because I found that the topology of my roof only permitted single 6KW & 3KW arrays, and I then tied them together with some other panels, often using solar generators when they were cheap.
I have several engineer friends with battery design expertise, so i'm well covered there as well. Really glad to see someone like you enter the review space because i have lotsa neighbors & friends who call on me for advice & you look like a good resource for those folks!
Keep up the good work!
Mike
Thanks Mike!
Ive been waiting for this! I even reached out to them and pleaded for them to let the reviewers get their hands on it before they release it. 😂
Great in depth review as alway!
Glad you liked it!
Great review. Nice nit. Like the new scoring system. Thanks.
Glad to hear you like the 2.0 Grading System! Now to migrate all the data.... hmmmmm
Your the BOSS, thanks for your THOROUGH review of this very impressive product. I ALWAYS TRUST your reviews.
My goal is to show as much as possible in these video so people know what they are buying :)
The jump in AC efficiency with the optional batery was surprising and welcome. Not seen anyone else record this, good job.
I try to do the most in depth testing
Thanks for showing this using some common appliances.
Fantastic review, it was very concise and detailed. Great job! Love my 600LFP from Pecron and will be picking this up in the very near future. I too found it strange that the 24V Converter worked on the aviation port for charging given it should have needed 32+V, I have to run a 48V on my 600. Have a good one and keep those reviews coming!
Great test Jason!! The new Pecron is a great price at the $899. They are upping their game. Am radio test…💪🏼
I recently bought 600LFP. One year warranty with purchase, two year with registration. Three year if you complete a feedback survey at registration. I received a replacement 120v AC charger in less than a week from notifying them. Great thorough and organized reviews!
That's a hidden way to get a 3 year warranty. I wonder why they don't "advertise" that out much?
I watched this video a while back. I enjoyed it and ordered one. Mine is to be delivered Monday the thirteenth of November. Your video with the 600,2000,ant the 1500 was cool because I will now have all three
If I may say so, that was a very comprehensive review. Love the UPS feature. Also, this power pack would be awesome in a D.I.Y. truck camper build.
This video was HUGE! So much to test on these units now :) The expansion battery is pretty useful with both the DC charging and DC outputs built into it!
Very nice; you've created another review that invites temptation.
Thank you very much!
Phenomenal detailed presentation and succinct. I love this new Pecron . Finally they listened to the consumers and are the first to come out with the 90º cables for the expansion batteries and to boot to make the expansion batteries usable as well. When it comes to power banks I basically use them for recreational and emergency purposes and wished that they would offer more 12V plugs since it is the most efficient and if it is an emergency you don't want to use power hungry appliances. I love the ratio of inverter to battery capacity where if necessary it will power most things and still maintain its portability. I am glad they got rid of the charging brick. I do wish it had an extra or two cigarette plugs and I still feel that the 32V to 95V voc is limited. Jason, again great great job!
I'd just take the 30 amp DC output and split off that with an xt60 to 12v cigarette splitter. Then you could have three 12v cig ports. I personally hate the 12v cig ports, you'll lose about 0.3 volts through them via resistance / heat and they fall out and wiggle loose.
Super in-depth video, such great data. Impressive DC output on the system and extra battery, Pecron has really been upping their game. The new grading system and new overlays are really good! I wonder if you should award extra credit for things like 30A DC output or expansion.
Thanks, Todd! One of my new requirements is to have 150 watts of DC output for powering larger DC loads like diesel heaters. A lot of machines will miss out on that new requirement, this one didn't though! :)
Thanks so much for this review. I have been a part-time van dweller since I built out a Ram Promaster in 2018 and have had several different battery options, starting with an AGM-battery Goal Zero, then a crowd-sourced Bluetti (OK, but disappointing in several areas), and finally a Pecron E3000. I didn't know much about the Pecron brand, but it seemed to offer excellent bang for the buck, so I took a chance. It has been excellent and allowed me to go almost 100% electric in the van. Naturally, I use it for the usual stuff: vent fan, Wabasto, lights, and fridge. However, I do most of my cooking using electricity now. The Pecron powers a small microwave, a small electric pressure cooker, an induction burner, and a small capsule-type coffee maker. Naturally, I'm not running all these things simultaneously, and I'm very aware of my power usage. For instance, I may make a couple cups of coffee (about 6-7 minutes) and use the induction burner to fry some eggs (another 5-6 minutes). One surprising and economical find was my 3-quart electric pressure cooker. It uses full power to reach pressure (around 10 minutes) but very little power to maintain pressure as it cycles on and off during that cooking phase.
I can usually recharge the system with the 400 watts of solar that I have on the roof, but I can also run my van's power to an inverter that powers the E3000 power brick and charge that way when I'm driving. The Pecron has turned out to be an excellent choice and is well-built. My unit is simple (not many bells and whistles), but it does the job.
I would love to upgrade to the E1500 plus the expansion battery, but I'm now retired with other responsibilities. Perhaps, someday. Here is a wishful thought to Pecron. Do you want someone to do a real-world test in a van using the E1500 and the accessory battery? I would be happy to comply :). Ahh, yes, wishful thinking. But for now, I'm very happy with my E3000.
Thanks for sharing your awesome experiences with the E3000. You definitely put that unit to the test! Where are you usually residing?
@@Jasonoid I live in the Midwest and do a lot of local camping the states surrounding. Also love to spend time out west in the camper-Arizona, Utah, Colorado, etc.
You could get the Pecron smart car charger and let it charge up your batteries when the vehicle is running. It’s a steal with all the cabling included. I think it’s on sale for $160. Ecoflow has similar car charger for $600
@@Ketogenicinfo I will have to check it out.
Great review!!
Thanks Jason 😎
You're welcome! Thanks for always watching the channel :)
Purchased using your discount, thanks!
Hope you enjoy it! It's a good one!
Excellent presentation. Thanks for sharing. Love the 12v output options and the high amp loads. Jackery and Bluetti are going to lose truck/van/boat/car business to this unit since they have practically abandoned 12v output options in their newest units. The Pecron E1500 Pro also has some very nice 12v output options. For use in my truck/car/boat where I need strong 12v options - I would pick either of these Pecron units over the newer Jackery/Bluetti units.
I totally agree with you on this. Why have a portable battery with such much power inside to only have 130 watts output on DC?! SO glad Pecron knows what people are looking for!
Thanks, Jason, I was doing a bit of research on charging a lifepo4 battery using the xt60 port; in my case, mine is 25 amps, not 30 amps, but at least I know it can work. Really appreciate the content, very helpful! Can always get a charger if it doesn't charge it enough.
I just got one so far so good
The E600lfp has served me well. It's my favorite small power station. The E1500 looks even more promising.
Great video ! nice unit !
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you for the fantastic review! The EP3000 has some amazing features, including a solar input of 400w, priced at 1238€ for 3kW. That’s truly remarkable in the solar generators/power stations market!
I've pre-ordered one to try out as a single battery, using your code, for a total of 1177€.
Might buy next the E1500LFP bundled with another EP3000 for +7kW total
Follow up with me once you get it and let me know what you think!
Hi there, if you are looking for high-power 12V output the Fossibot F3600 might be interesting for you as well. It has a 3840Wh battery with a 12V 25A output but additionally you get an 3600W inverter, PD outputs, 2000W solar input etc. It is a bit more expensive but considering the features I still consider it a great option at currently around 1600$ here in Europe. Jason reviewed the "little brother" the F2400, this one also offers a 12V 25A output if that's your main criteria.
Great review as usual sir! This is definitely on my short list! Shame about the bit of noise on the inverter but I guess you can't have everything!
Well, maybe one day a company will meet all my requirements!
Thanks for the new grading system 2.0. For this unit, I think Pecron hit the gold. With a 30a 12V, wireless charger, good UPS, app, expendable (with connectors on this extra battery), a 90 degres connector for the extra batteries, a bunch of cables, Ac cable without brick and all connectors in front of the unit. they start to play in major ligue.
I see your power grading sheet, but I curious about direct comparaison between the Pecron E1500LFP and the Bluetti AC1800. The Bluetti score more but I have a litle cruch on Pecron. What do you thing?
Great review. PECRON stepping up their game. I do wish the expansion batteries had AC , at least 1.
If they had AC output they would be their own power station though! haha
Thanks 4 the gr8 review. I bought the Pecron E1500LFP based on your review. I think you might have to give the rating a bump up since they are offering 5 years when you register online.❤
I've adjusted the scoring since the video 👍
@@JasonoidThx 4 the update.
Looks like some great upgrades!
I would really like to see them get away from those aviation plugs, and go to something more standard, like xt60 or anderson inputs.
I've been watching you for several months and built my own portable unit in a toolbox.
100ah lifepo4, 2000 watt inverter, 40 amp charge controller, 2 fans, fuse block, lights, charger, and four 100 watt panels.
You gave me the confidence to it, and I thank you!👍
Love hearing that! Thanks for sharing
I agree. I wish everyone would go to the 50 amp Anderson plugs.
Great info! I really like how you can use the expansion battery. I have the Ecoflow Delta 2 with extra battery, and that option is not available.
Love that old Bestek 300watt inverter... I've had one for 7-8 years and it's still going strong. :-) Nice specs on that Pecron, and I was worried about the gap between 100 watt port and the other starting at 32volts, leaving a "no man's land" for many 200-300 watt panels (Like my Bluetti PV200) But seeing that 32volt port charging at 24volts makes things better as I'd definitely make that with 2 portable panels!
Yeah, I definitely can't guarantee it works will all loads under 32 volts, it just worked with my 24v converter. Super interesting!
Thanks For the Discount code. I buy one. For the Vanlife, I think it's one of the best one. I already have Delta 2 Max but this EcoFlow mist a huge feature in the 12V 30A. I will replace this unit by the Pecron E1500LFP. It's my favorite one for my use. She have more capacity than Bluetti AC1800 and Solix C1000, She have contectivity than the Pecron E2000LFP didn't have, she have the 30A missing on EcoFlow and she have better charging option than Bluetti AC200MAX.
I loved your video. I wish I could afford one of those. Have a blessed day.
I just found your channel today enjoyed how you hooked up the batteries to the power stations. I have a original my ecoflow delta would love to see a video how to hook up extra battery to itThanks.
I have a video just for you!

I bought one yesterday :)
Hope you enjoy it!
I'm not sure what set power fridge you have , but I set mine to 5 C and left it on my Jackary 550 for 12 hours .... it went from 100 to 98 .. I just got my set power FC20 so I'm assuming it was running on eco mode because it was defiinitely working very well ... Prior to it I had a thermo electric pulling 70 watts ...Thermo electric fans blew and I'm grateful cuz I LOVE MY SET POWER
AWESOME review!!!! Not only did I give you a thumbs up but I also asked for notifications for any new videos. I'm not an expert on power stations but I've watched a ton of these power station YT review videos lately and as a reviewer you are at the top of the list. Super thorough review and I can't think of anything you could do to improve your reviews. So keep up the GREAT work....much appreciated!!!
Regarding the Pecron E1500LFP, it looks like an excellent product that checks all of the boxes. The only thing that I'd like to see is more AC output ports (only 3?). I'd like to see a minimum of 4 AC ports and 5/6 would be more ideal...even if they had to make the unit a bit larger to accommodate them.
Is there any reason why or any limitations regarding using an power extension cord with this unit to expand the number of AC ports? If not then this will likely be my solution to the limited number of ports.
Do you happen to know if the E1500LFP in combo with the EP3000 would qualify for the Federal Tax "rebate" of 30%? Or do you know of any resources (other than an accountant) that could clarify on that issues ?
I'm not sure about the tax question.
As for use extension cords and surge protectors to get more outlets... There isn't an issue doing that. You'd want to make sure you use a 12awg extension cable and use a high quality surge protector and you'll be golden running multiple devices at once through 1 outlet on the power station.
Great review! I wonder, what the parasitic drain would have been, comparing your DC to AC inverter vs the internal inverter drain. Having that lower watt AC inverter opens up options. I have that same one! :)
Well it would better (the little inverter pulls around 9 watts when nothing is running on it) but you are limited to 300 watts or less when using the little inverter vs 2200 watts of the built in inverter so you have trade offs. The best thing you can have the option since the it has the 30 amp DC port.
Hopefully they'll send you the new 3600LFP to test.
I think that should be announced later this year!
About the only thing Pecron lacks is a longer warranty. It's great to see these companies one upping each other, because ultimately the consumer wins:) I like the new grading 2.0, very nice! The only thing missing is being able to combine two units for split phase operation. If they added that, it would kill EcoFlow and Bluetti. Great review as always! You should take a look at the Eco Worthy dual axis solar tracker. A very affordable way to get 30% or more out of your solar panels:)
Rumor is they are coming out with a 3600 watt inverter capacity model. I think thats where they would do that. Time will tell and I hope they do because they are so much more affordable then ecoflow and bluetti. You get a lot for your money with these guys.
@johnmal5975 If you Google Pecron 3600 and click news, it'll bring up 2 websites. The first one appears to be in Mandarin but it auto-translates to English. Scroll down a good ways and you'll see the 3600LFP. It tells a good bit of the stats. If you zoom in on the pic you can read the input voltages. It looks very similar to the 3000wh model. Just has a different screen and a few other changes.
@@johnmal5975The E3600LFP is confirmed. Unknown yet if 2 units can be combined for split phase. E3600LFP is supposed to support 4 Extra Batteries!...that's a lot of capacity.
It's going to take me awhile to go through the old model power stations in the new grading sheet..... so far there is A LOT of red since the standard is much higher now! haha
@@Jasonoid Your sheet will be the gold standard though with how well it's thought out and all the features it takes into account. We really appreciate all the work you put in Jason!
Awesome review Jason!
With the price comparison and expandability of power stations it almost makes more sense to use this for a full time van conversion power source. I have a couple of questions in regards to this.
1) In terms of using it as a power source in a van what are your thoughts when it comes to durability due to vibration of the vehicle or do they do any testing, certification for this kind of environment.
2) One thing that's kept me from using a power station vs an individual component build station is the lack of DC-DC charging.
Noticed that in your video the Pecron perform as one of the slowest charging from the vCctron DC-DC. converter
Saw your workout around video using the Victron DC-DC charger and I'm wondering how this Pecron stacks up or if you could add the results of that test to your overall testing spreadsheet.
3) Follow up to the question above are you able to keep the DC-DC charger and Solar panels connected and charging at the SAME time at high capacity using a Victron Energy Orion 12/24-Volt 20 amp DC-DC Converter or Orion TR DC-DC 12-12- 30AM and somehow plug in a DC-DC charger along with 4x100 Watt panels without maxing out the 700 watt limit so it theoretically has the ability to charge up to 700 Watts using 400 from the panels and 300 from the DC to DC charger acting as a 700 watts solar panels but also having the benefit of charging form the vehicle when sun conditions are not ideal.
4) Is 30A on the DC to DC outlet enough to connect to a 12 volt DC blue sea distro fuse box to run the following:
Air max fan,
LED lighting
2-3 USB charging outlets
12 volt wall mounted fan
12 volt wall mounted LED RV reading light
12 volt water pump
or I'm I better off spreading out each component using the 12 volt cigarette lighter port for set power fridge, some long USB cables for the tech device outlets and barrell plug for the LED lights and Air max fan.
Thank you!
Lots of questions here so I'll do my best to briefly answer them:
1) I don't think they are certified for anything specific but I do feel the E1500lfp is very solidly built and will handle a bit of vibration. You could always build in some sort of rubber feet or isolaters for a van install.
2)When testing with my 24v dc to dc converter I was able to get 260 watts charging on the aviation charging port. If you used the 30 volt victron you'd probably see around 300 to 330 watts charging on that port.
3) You could use both charging ports at the same time for faster charging, just remember the 5521 charging port is limited to 100 watts, so a 120w solar panel is all that would be worth connecting there.
4) All the items you listed are very low wattage devices, no issues at all powering all those at the same time off the 30 amp DC output / distro box.
Awesome! Thank you@@Jasonoid
Noticed that the EP2000 has two aircraft ports rated up to 600 Watts seems like that's exactly what I'm trying to do by having a DC to DC charger and at least 400-600 watts of solar.
The drawback there would be the 20A limit on the barrel plugs to connect to the 12 fuse box vs using the Anderson connector.
If this 1500 had two aviation plugs like the their 2000 model it would be perfect.
What about if I got the EP3000 expansion battery could I achieve what I'm trying to do by running the DC to DC to the power station and Panels directly to the expansion battery while cascading/ connecting both and would they automatically balance each other out.
Sorry for all the questions 😬
or lastly would the best/most efficient option just be a 1000 watt AC inverter on a remote switch to take advantage on the dual charging you demoed so I can turn it on and charge while driving as needed
Great review as always Jasonoid :)
P.S. We really enjoyed all of our pecron products that we have over the last 1 year :)
1 x e2000lfp (full 8kw system)
2 x eb3000 batteries
1 x e600lfp
2 x pv300 solar panels
1 x pv100 solar panel
P.S. We are really hoping to be able to review this power station and the e3600lfp power station from pecron :)
How long does it take to charge by solar the units to capacity, or can this be done in a single day by solar? The reason I ask is to see what would happen in an extended power outage, such as after a storm causing disruptions in electrical service? Txs!
I like this unit. I really like that the extra battery plug actually has the 90 degree turn in it. I do not know of any others that have done that yet. I wish it had 2 of the 32 to 95 volt solar inputs but I guess it is fine that it only has one. I need to get me one of those anderson to aviation plug so I can see what voltage the high voltage inputs actually go down to on my e2000lfp. I think rambling bob said his turns on around 12 volts on the 32 to 95 volt input on the e2000lfp. I would have to ask him or try to find that video again to be sure of that.
It actually comes with the Aviation to APP adapter, both the battery and the power station have one each.
@@Jasonoid I went ahead and made a cord to mc4 to connect my solar cables for the pecron to my 0-to-48-volt dc 480-watt ac to dc converter. Now I can test any power station with the supplied solar cables. Tested it this morning and found mine shows power input symbol on the e2000lfp display but does not charge around 24 volts, does not start charging until about 31 volts and will keep taking a charge until about 28 volts. Then it stops charging.
I love your channel and expertise sir.
I preordered the E1500LFP immediately after watching this video. Used your promo code, thanks for that discount!
I see I can add on the EP3000 additional battery for $1300.
In the video you used a 48v battery to charge. My question is, why wouldn't I just buy a 48v 50Ah/2560Wh LiFePO4 online for about $600 and use the aviation style connector? I could buy 2 (+5000Wh!) for less than the price of one Pecron battery. Is there an advantage to the Pecron besides it's cool rugged case?
These will be stationary in one room in the house.
Dan in AZ
Only the proprietary E3000 battery will charge and discharge equally with the power station.
If you use a standalone 48v battery to charge the power station, it won't sync with the power station automatically like the E3000 expansion battery. You'll have to charge it independently.
Any recommendations on some rigid panels that I could mount on my RV or rooftop tent for the E1500 LFP? Don’t wanna use flexible or portable folding ones. Your videos have helped me so much! Thanks!
I’m waiting on your review on the Oupes Mega 2 before I choose between it and the Pecron E1500. The high amperage DC output is a big selling point for me in a power station…
The Oupes Mega 2 review is almost done!
Finally higher DC output from a small power station!
I know, right! Awesome they included that!
I just bought the E1500LFP. My only dislike is needing 32v minimum to use the higher watt DC input. It would be nice to be able to use 24v (nominally 2×100 watt panels). At least one review I've seen says you can push 24v, but I haven't seen that.
All in all, though, it's a very good value.
For the best solar charging performance you'll need at least two 100w panels in series.
Thanks, Jason. Your reviews are most helpful. Does the faster AC charging have any adverse effects on the battery or number of charging cycles?
It's not affected much on an LFP battery. These batteries can be cycled so many times without degradation it's almost impossible to even notice a difference.
Thank you Jason for all your videos. Excellent rundown. I'm trying to figure out what's going on at 24:21 though. The nearest panel is not connected. I'm guessing you shot that piece as you were tearing down the setup?
Couldn't hook all 5 of them together, the voltage would be above what the charge controller would allow, so I only connected 4 of them.
I've been a Pecron fan for a while as I do have several of their products. You can get a 3 year warranty by responding to the service email you get after registration. This would bring their grade up to a "9" on your new scale. (B+) New feature additions are great but their solar 7 pin inputs and voltage requirements drive me nuts.
I got their LP2000 34 days ago but after watching this video ask Pecron if I could return my new unit and upgrade to the E1500 w/ the 3000 battery pack. They said NO! I like the new WiFi capability so I can control the unit remotely specifically turning the inverter on/off according to a schedule. Any idea if I can use my LP2000 to trickle charge the E1500 using the DC In/Out? I do not want my LP2000 to become a boat anchor only after 34 days
@@thetradeshocgannelHow do you like your E2000LFP. Any noted issues.
Have an ac180 in my shopping cart. This seems like the better buy for only 100 bucks more.
Both are great units, it just depends what you are looking for.
Did you try giving 12V on the aviation input where you put in 24V. Does that make it go faster than 100W?
Great video Jason! Hope you can help answer this deal breaker question: Does Pecron E1500LFP or Bluetti AC180 have equivalent feature described below vs EcoFlow App>Energy Management>Backup Reserve and Charge Limit, or Labs Features>Automation? Please make a new video comparing these Apps and features 🙏 I’m new to solar, your videos have helped me immensely🍻.
I have been on the fence about Pecron due to lack of firmware upgrade and App until E1500LFP. Looking to upgrade capacity for my Solar priority UPS backup setup for my Fishtanks gears from 700wh to over 1kwh. Currently using River2Pro with AC plugged into wall to keep unit charged up to 70% battery for outage emergency (using Backup Reserve feature), while 100-150w solar input is used to power output and top off 70-90% (using Charge Limit feature). Anytime there’s not enough solar, AC pass through kicks in while keeping battery at 70%. This is all possible with River2Pro after latest App and firmware update.
Thanks in advance and for all your amazingly informative videos.
Nope, Bluetti and Pecron do not offer those features in the smart app.
Thanks for replying, that’s too bad.
Pecron's expansion batteries are the best with up to 400 watts charging via solar and 30A 12V outs
Always pricing better than the only comparable Bluettis
Great vids. Exciting stuff coming from pecron !!!
One question?
Do I need a dc to dc charger for the ep3000 to charge from my vans alternator, to get around 400w?
Or is the installed charger fine for that purpose.
Thanks
You'll need to boost the input voltage higher than 12v to get faster charging.
e600, e1500, e2000 wow, hard to remember that... said facetiously.
Nice video content though. Nice product and great price! Also LFP battery can last 10+ years, yes?
Would the 30 amp output be enough to hook up to the RV shore power plug and charge and use as an RV battery?
Usually an RV will charge the battery when connected to shore power. You could 'charge' a battery with the 30amp DC output but it's not a dedicated battery charger, it's meant to be used in case you ever have a dead battery.
Very impressive, thanks Jason. The short warranty is still mystifying me. Can there be any other reason besides inferior reliability? Maybe there's too much marketing/gimmicky bs surrounding long warranties and they just don't want to invest in that side of things? If it does come down to reliability then I guess they'll need to up their game further still before the brand can hit new heights. Looks like they're on their way though.
Warranties cost big money! Probably the reasoning.
@@Jasonoid Yeah I guess it's too much to ask from a smaller brand. But with the popularity they have now I expect them to start addressing this soon, otherwise I can only assume that reliability is an issue.
Great job, enjoyed the video!
When expansion battery is connected, and solar is connected to ONLY the power station.....does the battery and power station both recharge together?
Yes, when they are connected together the battery and power station act like one unit. They charge and discharge together.
@@Jasonoid thank you!
Great review Jason!
Would you be able to test if the E1500LFP can power a full size gas dryer?
I've found one shortfall of Pecron's inverter design is that while it has a high rated surge power, it's much shorter surge than competitors. My E2000LFP can't start up my dryer, but my much smaller CTECHi 1200Wh power station has no problem starting it up.
Looks like the bidirectional inverter with UPS loses some efficiency compared to their previous models which consistently got over 90% efficiency at 0.2C discharge rate, so a trade-off for the extra features. Still great efficiency for such a large inverter compared to competitors.
I got an electric dryer at home so I can't test that specifically, bummer!
@@JasonoidAw darn. Hopefully you get the E3600LFP to test and if it supports 240V, you can test on your electric dryer.
If one power station is too small, and another is just too big, could it be this one is perfect? I think a lot of buyers will like the versatility and expandability of this particular product, especially at this price point. :)
I like how it's just a little bigger than the AC180 and EF Delta 2.
I wish the Delta2Max had that DC output range! But it's still a winner on the MPPT inputs. I thought those barrel connectors were only good for 3 amps, not 10😳
Oh, with the expansion battery's own MPPT it might just eek out ahead...
Can you charge using all 3 DC inputs at the same time when the battery is connected to the main unit too?
I wish the D2M had 1500-2000 watts input through the MPPTs
Yes, you can use all three charging ports at the same time! The barrel ports can pull high power briefly, I wouldn't recommend that high of a load for a long time!
Hi, Jason, Pecron in they facebook was just extend the warranty fot the e1500lfp to 5 years. 😁😀
excellent news!
Does it make change in note in your spreadsheet?@@Jasonoid
@@renyraiche-gregoire4921 I'm going to reach out to my contact to confirm the details of the warranty first.
@@Jasonoid I received my 5 years on my E1500LFP.
Did you received the confirmation, I didn't see it on your Spreadsheet? direct on they facebook it was anouncement and pecron confirm my 5 years on mine. @@Jasonoid

Does this generator support AC passthrough without running the inverter?
Can you charge the expansion battery along with the connected the power station with just the ac cable? More convenient than charging separately. The versatility is that is able to charge independently
When charging with AC input it charges both the power ststion and the battery at the same time, so the 1400 watts gets divided.
The EP3000 expansion battery is, for now, hard to come by. Is there any way to boost the earlier model EB3000 battery and fit it to make it an expansion battery for this E1500 lFP maybe?
Great video, just received mine. I have a folding 300w panel for camping, 18v. Is it ok to wire this up to the aviation port even though the volts are below 32? Seems like I am over the watts on the 100w port and under the volts on the aviation port.
You can try to see if it charges, it might not accept a charge but it shouldnt damage anything.
Thank you ..I purchased for 4 units after seeing your video.i noticed you use in your test a small inverter plug in I to to 12 volt xt60 ...did you do that conversion by yourself ...I ask because I want a run a small ac fridge and fell it's to much energy lost true the big inverter ...do they make cigarette plug into xt60..or it need to be home made ...thx
I built the adapter myself. It's an xt60 to Anderson powerpole. You could use any connection you wish to connect the inverter!
Great review as always, I'm in the market for a solar generator. What are your top three solar generator you recommend? Budget of $2000 Max?
All depends what you are going to use it for!
Hi Jason Great review ! I was wondering since this power station has built-in MPPT controllers, would it be safe to use 400 watt solar panels(pecron 2-200 watt) while charging a 12 volt marine battery ? Will this unit prevent over charging ? Thanks in advance and thank you for your videos
So just to confirm, you would plug in the two 200 watt solar panels into the E1500 and then connect the 30 amp DC output to a marine battery to charge it?
Thank You
@@Jasonoid
Apparently, they listen to consumers and reviewers. The website now lists the warranty as 2+3 years.
Have you tried to charge the unit using a truck bed 400W AC plug available on newer model trucks
Do I understand you right, that the app only works on Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth? So you can’t use this unit with the app when you are camping, for example? Thanks!
hi,great vid! Can I charge a DC cigar input for a portable fridge and also plug my portable AC into the 12Volt AC input simultaniously? Or do I need to get a smaller unit as well for the fridge? thanks!
You can run both DC loads and AC loads at the same time.
@@Jasonoid ok thanks!
I guess the lfp600 has a different mppt board, I asked pecron and they said connecting a battery to the solar/HV input would fry it. I settled on a dc to dc boost.
How locked down is the battery expansion system? Any chances of adding a homemade 48 volt battery?
Still 700 in isn’t bad and makes for a quick expansion to an off grid system.
The expansion battery has multiple communication pins so unlikely to use your own unless it's connected to the higher power charging port like a DIY expansion battery.
wondering if the e600lfp external charging brick will work on the solar input of this 1500 for slower charging. That charger works on the 2000lfp model just fine. Unless I missed it I couldn't find anywhere on your video if you can control the charging input on the app for this 1500 model.
No adjustable charging on this model, but I don't see why using the E600LFP charger wouldn't work to charge it slower, creative idea!
The best product review ever. Pecron has surely stepped up their game adding features people are looking for in a power station. I was considering the new BougeRV Rover 2000 but now I have to put this Pecron 1500 in the mix. I wonder if you would consider making all the connectors available on your channel or at least link a place where we can buy them. I am thinking specifically about the 2121 or 2125 connoectors for the 30 amp DC outputs. I will also do some homework and check the website as well. As always, your hard work is appreciated.
The 12v socket and 5525 cables are included with the battery. Failed to mention that, sorry!
@@Jasonoid Awesome; thank you so much.
Does adding an additional battery, mean that the power bank will take the same amount of time to charge or take longer with an additional battery hooked up? This would be by using the 600 watt capacity solar panels during an extended outage?? Can (main unit & battery(s) fully be recharged in 1 day ?😢
Adding an expansion battery does add to the total charging time. You can add 400 watts of solar panels to the expansion battery at the same time so it can charge with 700 watts of solar plus 400 watts of solar if you wanted.
Jason can you recommend rigid solar panel that will max out Delta Pro 150v, 15amp. 1600 watts? I would prefer the least number of panels if possible to overpanel to truly get 1600 watts input. Of course if you have an affiliate link to help the channel that would be great. Amazon prime preferred. Thank you!
I'm putting together a solar array on my car port that would work well for that requirement, video on this Friday.
What is the max amp on your 24v boost converter? 19:19
Thanks for the review! I am going to buy the E1500LFP, not sure if you can offer your opinion in the AC charging, my van has a 120V 1000W inverter, do you think it's big enough as AC charging source? I'm really appreciate!
The AC charging speed is 1400 watts peak. It is not adjustable to a lower rate. You'll need at least a 1500 watt inverter or youll overload your inverter while AC Charging.
@Jasonoid Got it, Thanks for your respond, appreciated!
So Im wondering what happens if you connect the E1500LFP to the EP3000 and their capacities are not within 10% of each other? Seems like it could be difficult to keep them within 10% seeing how the EP3000 can only be charged with DC from solar. Maybe im missing something...
The owners manual says it won't balance properly if they are too far apart in SOC.
It's pretty simple to get them at the same SOC. Just charge both to 100% and then connect them. You can use any AC to DC power supply to charge the EP3000, a 12v, 24v, 36v, or 48v converter will work. Not just solar panels.
Hi Jason, little question, I would want to connect a AC fridge permanently to a Pecron E1500LFP. I would connect 2, 300 watt panels to it in series. the AC fridge uses roughly between 300 and 550 wh a day. If I understand correctly, I would need to also take into account the 2,3% AC idle usage a day and add this to the consomption of the fridge right? That would mean roughly between 1344 to 1599 wh per day (idle usage + fridge), which on a sunny day would work with the panels probably but it the winter it wouldn't. So next to the solar input I would also need to use the AC input at all times. Is it possible to use solar input and AC input at the same time, and connect a fridge to it (24/7)? thanks for you help! I'm still new at this:)
This power station supports dual charging so having both AC and DC input together should not be an issue. You can see a breakdown of all the features on my grading system: jasonoid.com/powerstations/
@Jasonoid I dont know if you still have this Pecron power station. I have a very specific usecase and was wondering if you could confirm. Will this unit charge with 2 DC sources conncted simultaneously. 12V from the vehicle connected to the 5521 barrel port at 100W and a 200W solar panel connected to the aviation style DC port. I am trying to maximize the DC power input into the unit..so that it charges from both the vehicle and solar when I am driving and solar only when I am parked
Is it possible to charge via AC at a slower rate (like ecoflow can limit to 400W)
No, there is only one charging speed for AC input.
Can unit solar run in Series & Parallel for 93volts (VOC) 76volts (normal) @ up to 17.2amps (8.6amp x2)* * I assume unit reduces amps to 15amp max input. Thanks for your time.
93 volts is a little high, probably too high for the charge controller. Remember that when it's cold outside solar panels produce higher voltage numbers than their rated VOC so give yourself 5 to 6 volts extra head room.
Any idea when these will actually ship? I get a little nervous when I see "Pre Order" and there's nothing on the site about when the orders will actually go out...
Latest update I heard was they units would be in stock at the end of September.
Maybe, I missed it. Can you charge the batteries connected to the power station with no other input?
If the expansion batteries are connected to the main power station, the whole system will charge together. It all syncs up.
Thanks for the great review. Do you think it with auto start charging via solar in the morning if it were to run down to 0% overnight?
Yes, when solar is plugged in the unit turns on and starts charging. The outputs need to be enabled manually though.
Ah I see. Wish the output was automatic but I’ll take it. Just ordered one 👍🏻
