want to confirm, you're currently using a stock alternator in your 4R?
V6, 4.0, stock electronics.
Aarrrggg! Sold out for now. These are on back order, i guess.
They sold out quick!
My goodness folks. The testing shows that you need to spend a bunch of money for something that doesn’t work.
Important question ? is it okay to drive and keep the fridge (VL45) on ?
Yes, having the fridge on while driving is not an issue.
Great content thank you. Only thing “missing” was a folded dimension comparison.
Thanks for your reply. I think my eb70s is 12-24 and so is my Ac180 if I am not mistaken.
This will work perfect on the AC180, it will damage the EB70 though.
i found putting the ecoflow case down below the panel is slightly better setup than having it hang from the edge of the bag, slightly above the panel. doing in grass makes it more possible to get a flatter setup rather than using the bottom clips of the case.
Bluetti needs to create an alternator charger if they want to take on EcoFlow.
Great video! Thanks for showing a straightforward logical fix.
You're welcome!
Own the 45 pro, going on year 3 it has been problem free, on a trip where car temps in sun were well over 110 deg, was capable maintaining ice cream, its a game changer not to have wet contents due to ice melt. great investment.
Nice touch with the control panel. Really quick and detailed review. Awesome review.
Glad it was helpful!
Will this work on power stations that have a max input of 200watts?
Depends on the input voltage of the power station. This puts out 43 volts. If the power station only allows 24v or 28 volts input, this charger will damage it.
Video was good. It would be nice if you could explain the selection process for the MPPT controller. For instance, will a Victron MPPT 100 / 20 controller be sufficient for 3 - 100 W panels. Vmpp 17.5V, Impp 5.8 A; Voc 21 V, Isc 6.2 A.
Hi what would be the best solar panel glass panels) array for charging this bluetti? I currently have two 200W Bouge 9BB panels. thanks
You'll want to wire those solar panels in parallel and they will work just fine, you'll see around 150w to 170w input with those panels due to the limitations of the EB70 charge controller. Do not wire the panels in series or it will damage the power station.
Hello, I hate to ask again but I am getting mixed information about sizing my solar panels with the Anker F3800. Your link for the REC 370w panels from signature solar would have my total solar input around 47v VOC and 29.4 amps approximately if I used 3 of these panels in parallel per DC input. I spoke to a sales person at signature who said the amps were to high for the Anker and that they would damage the Anker unit. My plan was to put 3 of these panels in parallel (x2) for each of the Anker F3800's DC inputs using a 15 amp fuse and using 50amp x 3-way branch connectors with a 30amp breaker switch between my branch connector and the Anker unit, I also wasn't sure if I needed the extra 30amp fuse after the branch connector. Has anyone successfully tested a solar setup long term and knows which fuse specs/ panels I would need to be successful? My runs are short and I am using 10AWG wire. From the Anker to the home I plan to use the Nema 14-50 cable into a SS250P generator outlet with interlock. The max breaker on my home is 240v and 50amps. Thanks in advance.
That's a bit complicated to explain in a single youtube comment. I'm happy to help here: asqme.com/@Jasonoid
Anyone have the gauge on the Pecron battery to charger cable. The Ecoflow calls for a 6 gauge, I just want one that will cover both if needed.
For a long run over 25 feet id recommend 4awg with both of these systems. That will get you the best performance and least voltage drop.
Jason, I have 2 newbie questions... about the adapter cables for my anchor 767.. Should I get 10 or 12AWG cables? Also, i have a ford transit with dual batteries (70AMP-HR), which battery do i hook up to?
The Anker F2000 (767) has a 20 amp input limit so you'd want to use 10awg to be safe and avoid voltage drop. You can connect to either battery. It might be best to connect to your start battery though since it's getting charged directly by your alternator.
Do you have a link for this DC converter?
Heres the full video on it: czcams.com/video/I78RxjRXTn4/video.html
Mg kanu po yan
Great video. I wanted to ask if this will work with no issues using a 200w solar panel setup? I'm currently using 2 Renogy solar panels (200 watt) with a Renogy Rover 40 Amp 12V/24V DC input MPPT solar charger and a Renogy 2000W Pure Sine Wave Inverter 12VDC to 120V AC Converter? I also have a LifePo4 Battery 100Ah 12V 1280Wh Deep Cycle Lithium Iron Phosphate battery. With this setup the only thing I have plugged into the inverter in my camping fridge.
Isn't this going to damage the PS by sending a massive current spike? There are limits to the amperage you can send into the solar input and sending a dead short across a battery seems like it could fry the input?
The power station limits the amperage on the both the DC and AC charging input automatically. It kinda ramps up the charging slowly so it doesn't spike at all.
Can you make a video on thw power queens battery plz and where the best place to buy them
This is the video where I modded the PowerQueen battery with the cool connections on it: czcams.com/video/A_siXJlW2nA/video.html This is the video of me reviewing and testing it: czcams.com/video/Ukjez9qPazA/video.html
good
Will this work with the DJI 1000w ?
Nope, it doesn't look like it. The DJI additonal MPPT accessory HERE you have to purchase: store.dji.com/product/dji-power-solar-panel-adapter-module-mppt?vid=156201 ...says it only allows up to 30 volts input and this puts out 42v. It will damage the DJI unit.
Gotcha! Thanks! I’m hoping to see something compatible with the DJI- it’s new, so it will just take time but I seeing a lot people gravitate to it that are invested in the drones
Very nice! I'm part way through my build and you have simple yet very clever solutions to problems.
Thanks Jason ❤
Hi Jasonoid, thank you for your in-depth review of the Oupes Mega 2. I was wondering what your thoughts are as to why the stand-by idle power usage of the Inverter is so much higher on the Mega2 than it was when you did a comparable stand-by Inverter idle usage test for 11 hours for the Oupes Mega 3? 31% for the Mega 2 vs.10% discharge of the battery capacity for the Mega 3? I wonder if Oupes is using different, better battery cells for the larger Mega 3? Can you comment ? Sure would appreciate your input. Thank you for all the detailed work you put into these reviews especially for the Sogens.
The Mega 3 inverter probably doesn't use that much more idle power than the Mega 2 inverter so the larger battery of the Mega 3 gives it the advantage when dealing with idle power consumption.
@@Jasonoid Thank you. What about the concept that the larger the inverter; the higher the idle drain? the Mega 3 has the 3600 watt rated inverter while the smaller Mega 2 has only a 2500 watt rated inverter. Seems like the idle drain of the Mega 3 would be considerably higher than 10%...
@@scottb6020 hard to say why since I tested the unit and that's what it got for the results 🤷 maybe it was a fluke? I'm sorry I don't have more concrete evidence for your answer. I don't have the Mega 3 to test with anymore. They only provided a sample for the video and then wanted it back.
@@Jasonoid That’s ok. Thanks for getting back to me again. Love your videos on Sogens and solar in general. Am a fan of your Power Grading System too. 👍
With your coupon code i paid $233 canadian. Then it was $259 to get shipped. Almost $500 all in. Wow crazy. Says shipping out early june.
THAT IS CRAZY HIGH SHIPPING!
I think Bluetti missed the boat with this offering. No alternator/bidirectional charging for the AC200L? I'll pass.
Thanks for sharing your feedback, I always appreciate the comments!
Nice build! Just looking to do something similar myself. Is there a reason you selected that pump specifically? It seems even seaflo offers higher-volume/pressure pumps? Surely that would be nicer for any showering or washing uses no? This is all new to me! :)
I just opted for this version because it was the available option at the time. I'm sure a higher pressure pump would be just fine.
ecoflow just killed this game with their new dc-dc charger 800WATTS
Pecron did a better job than Bluetti 😮
Hi I am using two BougeRV 200w 9BB Panels and would like to add one more panel to charge my AC180. Could you advise how I could do that? thanks George.
With the 60v input limit you'll need to have four panels in a 2S2P wiring setup. Three panels won't work with this model in series unfortunately, voltage will be too high.
@@Jasonoid So would two more of the BougeRV 200w 9BB Panels work? Thanks George
@@georgedarr1906 yep, that would work just fine. Two sets in series each, then wire those sets together in parallel.
Anyone know how long the included power cable is? Have a Ram 2500 and would prefer to put the unit in bed of truck, have a topper so nice and dry back there.
Around 15 feet
Always found the 48V output weird. Glad I have the max.
Use this to charge the delta 2 max
Voltage of this array is too high, you'll want two panels in series wired separately for each solar port on the Delta 2 Max.
I’m stunned to see “refurbished Ultra units” on sale so soon
Great work and thank you for sharing!
Solar charging is a bummer.
I was hoping for a little better performance too!
Jason; EcoFlo just came out on June 2, 2024, with their EcoFlo Delta 2 for $599.00. Has this proven to be a good power station for you? One of your videos showed you using a gas/propane generator to charge it.
It's very similar to the AC180 from Bluetti and the Anker SOLIX C1000. I've used the Delta 2 a bit around the house to power shop vacs, grinders, and my corded drills and saws. The 1800 watt inverter makes it useful for most applications but it's still light enough to not be annoying. That's a great price! It seems the pricing war is getting better and better.
Great channel you have here, very easy to understand
Jason I have to admit the admit the only reason for buying the D40 was to have power for my 12V DC s in my items heater, lights etc the D40 output is only maybe only 20 Amps. what do you of think of using a LED power source to convert AC current to 12V DC to supply power to the rest of my camper?
I don't think no one has touched on pass through charging where the unit is sitting by itself with the battery and hooked up to a DC source say in your car. Will you be able to run the unit and charge the unit at the same time say through your cigarette lighter I know it's just a hundred Watts or some sort of DC booster. Remember this is just the unit with its battery sitting in your car without any solar generator hooked up.
With my 24v lifepo4 battery will it still be limited to 500watts on my Anker F3800 ?
The limit of the unit is 500 watts. Using a 24v battery won't get any more watts.
Ya tengo el generador, ahora debo comprar la EcoFlow delta 2 Max, para estar completos, saludos desde el golfo de México (Coatzacoalcos,Veracruz,México)
Still watching but not quite something I'm interested in at the moment. But I'm glad that these companies are giving us options.
It's an interesting product but very limited in the power stations it works with. Only the AC200L. I was hoping you could also charge the AC200L with the alternator input too. Bummer.
What a rip off they should have left it within the unit.
At least they have the new AC240 with the high amperage output! I feel that feature is super useful so it would have been nice to have that on the AC200L.
thank for the code and review - just bought one!
How do you plan to use yours? 👍
@@Jasonoid I have a Tacoma with a gofast camper and installed a dual battery system a while back. I'm using a redarc DC to dc charger and an AGM Batter under the hood. I have a 200L so instead of replacing the AGM Battery, I will remove it and use the bluetti combination for overlanding and camping. I'm also adding a victron dc converter to be able to charge the Bluetti from the alternator. all in the costs are clos to the alternator charger ecoflow just announced. I"m kinda disaspointed that the load output is 20 - I though they wold try and match the 30 amps from other units but with the battery charging option, I think that will work best for camping and reducing complexity. thanks again.
At $620 no thank you, solar panels are cheap to make and use little raw materials . All powers thinks their panel is worth more than battery prices 🤣
