Ten Day Forecast: Cool And Unsettled First Week Of July?

- Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's ten day forecast video update. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days. Day ten will take us to 5th July - and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) We'll have a look at the BCC for the next forty days taking us into the early August at the end of the video...
High pressure is bringing a mostly dry and warm or even locally hot weather this week but the second half of this week will see a cool down although the weather will remain mostly dry. Looking ahead to the coming weekend and next week, todays model output is showing an increased mixed picture, especially for early next week with a risk of showery conditions and cooler temperatures. So a cool and unsettled first week of July seems likely...

Shame. The real heat is something I am not a fan of, but it would have been nice if we could have stayed sunny with something in the low 20s. 🌞 ☀️
I love it 30c plus, but as you say if it settled at 22c and sunny that would be nice, but 15c and rain in July is horrible.

Scotland even missing out on the good few days this week being experienced elsewhere in the UK. It's dire here - cloudy, raining, windy and misty in the central/east of Scotland. That's after the first 3 weeks were cloudy, autumnal(with leaves already coming off the trees) and cold. Other than the freak two-day record affair in July, 2022, we've not had a genuinely extended spell of good summer weather since 2021.
Bummer.

No offense but Scotland is not known for its heat and sunshine.
@@beatasobieraj9816 No, but it used to be more frequent than it is these days. I've lived in central Scotland all my life (47 years) and noticed the deterioration in the 21st century. I can honestly say that even an average summer in the 80's and 90's was far better than what we experience most summers these days. Even on what passes as a good summers day here now, it's very windy which is weird, and sometimes it's a freezing wind off the North Sea, therefore the haar rolls in eventually. I think there's a bigger North/South split in temperature and general conditions these days.
What about August 2022 or September 2023?

Seriously though why does the green crap just go to us like a magnet whilst everything else is yellow/orange and red? Like seriously how does it just gravitate out of nowhere to us then just circle us it’s beginning to wind me up lol

But why just sweeps down below us then back up again so even the likes of Finland Norway Sweden etc are ok it literally is just us it dives down to us then straight back up

Just hope you are wrong for the first time Gavin. Its our camping weeks from the 4th and could do with some settled weather and a bit of warmth and sunshine would be nice in Cheshire. Please prity please !
