    Kenny, thanks so much for including all your models. Those that I have seen come to life sure bring back memories. I know how important that little blue lighter is during the construction and photographing of your projects. Once again, thanks for sharing. Maybe one of these days we can do a face to face and I can appreciate the true craftsmanship.

      You never know what the future will bring Paul. One day, we might just meet in person. Thanks for tuning in to the show and taking the time to leave a comment. It's very much appreciated sir.

    I came across your channel a month or so ago and really enjoy the projects you create. But seeing these models proves you know what you are doing and the quality is not by happenstance. You are a credit to the craft.

      Thank you very much Dwight. I try to present projects on the program that are accessible to all levels of woodworking. There is usually a more complex project going on in the background. My latest build (which will be a multi part series on the channel) is an Apache Attack Helicopter. If you are interested, you can view the progress so far over on the channel's facebook page. I hope you do try one Ronald and I hope that you send some pictures of your creation to the channel's facebook page. I'd love to see them. If you have any questions while build one of the models, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

    Very very nice job. A lot of respect for all your achievements. You are my reference in my personal achievements. I have just completed the 1928 Chevrolet pick-up and have a real pleasure. Now I'm starting the Fokker D VII and I'll try to be up to it. Again thank you and congratulations.

    Kenny your skills and patience really resonate in these. As I said before I want to make a Tall Ship. Looking at these has confirmed that ambition . Starting small and simpler to learn new processes and learning . Thanks so much for for sharing and inspiring me in this interesting area.

      I'm glad that I could inspire you Wayne. I'd love to see what you come up with when you get around to making the tall ship. I've always wanted to make one of those myself. Thanks for tuning in to the show.

    This reminds me of making spark plug wires out of head phone wire sheathing
    and craft wire, or war bird engine piping from solder.
    Crazy detail man.....9 FT???....dang lol.
    Be safe, be happy and I know dad will see it.
    Peace.

    Oh, my. I was happy to hear about the quick repair on the antenna at the fair. When I was 16, Revell ran a nationwide model contest. I won my division at the local hobby store. They packed it up using popcorn and it was smashed in transit. Never did even get a picture of it. 3 engines using a '61 Thunderbird chassis, with bubble top, all engines, brake lines and custom parachute wired. AARGH! As they say, Oh Well. Do you have all these models in your house? Hard to imagine having that much room. ;o) Take care, Bill

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před 4 lety

      All the models are displayed in one room in my house. They pretty much take up one complete wall and they continue to take over the house. LOL. It's like a woodworking museum. Thanks for tuning in and for chiming in with your experience and your kind words.

    Beautiful models Kenny. Very nicely done my fiend!!!! That M1 and a Hummer are on my list in the future. Currently I am about 35 hours into high track dozer #81. You are absolutely right about time which takes to make tracks. When I built my excavator it took about 20-25 hours just to make tracks.
    Again awesome models!!!!

      Thanks for the kind words Marcelo. If anyone thinks that they are going to make one of these in a couple of weekends, they are in for a big surprise. LOL. Thanks for tuning in to the show. Glad you liked it.

      I have never considered a steam shovel. I may have to think about that one. Thanks for tuning in.

  • @johnfithian-franks8276

    Hi, I am interested in hearing about the different models but I was also hoping that you would show us some of the bits you made and how you made them which is a lot harder and I was hoping I could learn some of the things you made and try to made one of my own.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před 4 lety

      A lot of these models were made before the time that I ever thought about posting them on the channel John. I did do an 8 part model build series a while back on the show, demonstrating the process of making one of the models. (it was the semi truck). Here is a link to part one if you are interested. czcams.com/video/t-7A9YzxCSs/video.html
      I will also be posting a 4 part series on making the Apache Attack Helicopter build that I am currently working on. The progress of that model can be seen on the channel's facebook page. Here's the link to the album. facebook.com/pg/kennyearrings1/photos/?tab=album&album_id=2604523663100016
      I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show and don't forget....if you are attempting to make one of these models, I am always available to ask questions if you need some advice or assistance.

    I don't know whether it would be any easier or not as I have never made a steering wheel, but have you tried turning one like you would a wood finger ring on a lath? I am overly impressed with the detail in your models, I love working with wood, but lack the patience to invest that kind of time.

    • @acutabove_woodworkings
      @acutabove_woodworkings  Před rokem

      I can honestly say that I have never done that. I now have to wonder if a captured ring on a lathe would work as a steering wheel. Only one way to find out I guess. Thanks for tuning in Cary and for chiming in with your suggestion. I truly appreciate it.

      The best I can suggest is to view my shop safety videos on the subjects. I hope this helps. Thanks for tuning in to the show.
