great hinge Vince. these are so handy...you could use them on lots of things...doors, bifold gates, normal gates, flaps, shutters, and even rv hob covers ( heavy duty ones..you know the sort :)
I’m supposed to make a hinge for articulated jewelry and this helped me understand what to do and where, with what lol we only get a 10 min vague in-class demonstration, and that was 1 week ago so I need a refresher thanks so much!! You use those big boy toys though, but I get the idea lol

Huey Lionsheart a heavy small hinge like that would set me back about 10 bucks each here if you can find one for your application . Often I can’t ,so I just make them . This one is simple and not terribly accurate because of pin slop ,but if I need it to be I just make lift off types and turn the pin on the lathe to about .040

I bought some 'fairly heavy duty hinges' for a job a couple of years ago and they cost me £15 for two, only to have to nut and bolt one a few months ago because the pivot rusted and dropped out on it. I'm thinking when they need attention again I might just use a solution like this. I saw Robert make some heavy duty ones which I liked too...so I guess that should have made me think about it sooner. :)
NICE hinge that should do the trick proper beefy, funny I did not see a Bee in the drawing until you said that then it was all I could see from that point on. :)
That's work well mate. Now I'll tell you of an easier way to make a hinge. Nut and bolt. Weld nut to bench, or the static bit. Weld the folding bit to the bolt. Yes if you have 2 make sure they face the same way.
Normal metal supplier . Can’t recall the size at this time but measure the id of your pipe or tubing and size the pin accordingly. A few thou play works fine
