My issue is that ‘liberal’ is always presented as ‘good’ and ‘desirable’ and ‘right’ and conservatives presented as ‘bad’, ‘uneducated’ or just ‘haven’t got the memo yet’. And that’s objectionable to me (speaking as a ‘classical liberal’ with both left and right leanings on different topics). I loathe the quasi religious tribalism and irrationality of the modern Left as much as I always used to loathe it’s counterpart on the Right. Nowadays I seem to find conservatives far more reasonable and aligned with my values which feels weird but I can’t deny the truth. I will never tribally align with any particular side but right now I find the modern Left FAR FAR more dangerous than Trump or MAGA.

Holy shit; this is my first time seeing anything by Prof. Richards.... we'd be in much better shape as a planet and civilization if we had another hundred of him around the world.

The fact that there are no conservatives willing to speak up at the end is also very telling.

I wish you would come back 4 years later and do another class like this.
Maybe Kyle Rittenhouse can be the new Nick sandman for that class.

Kyle Rittenhouse would be great, but why not even go back to Charlottesville and look at Trump's actual "racists" statements. Maybe even draw a Venn diagram to show how good people can exist on either sides of an argument (and how a person can also condemn evil people on either side as well).

Well presented Sam. Half way though I googled you to see if you had been fired yet and was surprised to see Turning Point slamming you. So even if you were playing devils advocate. Kudos because you made very good points.
About Nick and the drummer. Everyone missed another point; why should nick have had to yield to ANYONE invading his space. The drummer had no, zero, nada for Nick's space.

Truth shall not just set us free but have the blindfold fall off and unclog ears. But when the heart is hardened by indoctrination, and our own understanding, which is pride, it becomes a task that only a true miracle can undue.

yeah I'm a very conservative leaning libertarian (Aym Rand flavor) and I absolutely LOVE this guy, the students themselves seem pretty much beyond repair unfortunately bit what's he's doing, or at least attempting to do, is incredibly brave and important for the future of this country. Keep up thengood fight Professor! 🤌
