    I really would have liked to see a little pushback on the guests beliefs. She seemed to use many statements of fact for what was very obvious to me to be statements of opinion. These young people are very impressionable and though the professor himself is trying to teach them critical thinking which I must say as a parent of a child nearing adulthood I greatly appreciate,the guest seemed more opinion as fact which needed some pushback.

    every word repeated here should be a red flag to any parent thinking about enrolling their child into any public form of education. get your kids out of these environments. there are plenty of private schools that offer actual education for your children. not this waste of time, where your offspring is raised to hate you and protest everything without offering the world anything of substance in return.

    3:50 something I realized doing construction work from childhood and then giving college a try for awhile, people complain about whatever ism that is popular, but knowing that the biggest cost people will have in there lifetime will be housing is tied directly to how much work someone will haft to do in there life. Ism is great and all go talk about it and good luck with that, but if the system supported building shelter the same way it supports secondary education then everyone would build a basic apartment or house and there wouldn’t be any homelessness, the amount of work needed to pay for a house would dramatically reduced. Acknowledging that the system is rigged to keep you working till you die should probably begin to change your mindset from what was done to what is being done to us today.

      Yes, well said…universal shelter-construction-education should be a practical skill taught to all and universally respected, to build confident citizens; yet homes here need to be heated for us to survive;
      fossil-fuels are not sustainable forever, once the fossil-fuel finite supply declines (or when complex drilling-refining-delivery supply systems get disrupted and fail to deliver), then home heating cost becomes a luxury item most can’t pay for…inevitably, options to fossil-fuel heating will help us increase survival and decrease mortality rates (due to freezing to death.)

    She sees the world through a very scary lens. This is why many people are homeschooling and why parents of college students like myself are concerned with what the education system is based on. She seems like she genuinely believes this stuff and that is extremely sad and alarming. Judging people based on the color of their skin and seeing the world in the lens of race is extremely scary. Yes we do not all start at the same point and we dont all have the same level of support. This occurs in all socioeconomic and racial groups…Supporting underprivileged people is a great idea…but making excuses and pointing to race and racism as the reason…this goes against everything Martin Luther King Jr taught. Judge people based on the quality of their character not the color of their skin…

    I feel as if the negative comments left in regards to this speaker are related to a defensive inexperienced opinion. I grew up poor and sick. As I grew older I began to serve the community via healthcare. I fight the grim reaper on the daily. I have taught in Haiti and back packed through India. These experiences changed my life. We're all humans, living on the same planet, wanting the same things. I have been so blessed to make such wonderful connections across the globe. I am probably a sociologist at heart. I wish everyone actually soaked in the knowledge this woman was speaking about, instead of criticizing her every word.

      When you’re experiences contradict everything she believes. I was a poor white kid growing up in deep rural Kentucky where i had to dig snow so I could get into the outhouse outside to use the bathroom. Where i had to hand pump water from the well outside for the inside of the house. Where i was old farm equipment at 6 years old because we couldnt afford help. Shes selling victim hood from a position of power while probably making serious dough. She is a walking contradiction selling victim hood and actual divise attitudes/mentalities
