For this list, we’ll be looking at some of the most aggravating NPCs that Link has come across in his many adventures. I never found the water temple frustrating at all. Just took it as is and it was my first zelda game so i may be biased.

Having played Skyward Sword HD, I don't think Fi can be considered annoying in that version of the game since most of her advice became optional.
I don't really like her overly synthesized voice (I know she's a magical android, but still) but other than that...
In the Wii version, she was a nonstop annoyance. Master, your batteries are low. Master, there is a 95% chance I am going to tell you info you already know.

To be honest, I never found Navi annoying when I first played TLoZ: Ocarina of Time. In fact, I think she's quite useful, especially the information on the monsters.

I actually really liked her character, her backstory is halarious and she's a great character for crowd control

I say these lines everyday. Love him. I think he was on the original commercial for wind waker.
None of these characters are annoying in my opinion. Tingle, Koltin and Mastro are the ones that would make the list for me. Rivali has an attitude, but in a funny way like Vegeta from DBZ

Revali is okay in BOTW, but in age of Calamity, he is just plain mean. He insults Link, Zelda, Impa, and Terrako to their faces, embraces over the idea of Link's death, and is an overall toxic person to be around. It isn't even funny at this point.

I never really found Fi to be annoying. Her whole thing is an AI to aid the hero, so of course she'd offer advice all the time. Plus...her send off is genuinely one of the best endings in Zelda history
Fun Fact: Revali’s voice actor also voiced Noob Saibot, and more surprisingly, the villain in the most recent SMG4 movie on CZcams called “Western Spaghetti” named One Shot Wren.

That last guy I really really hate but Revali is great (cause in aoc in the dlc secret ending he takes care of Tulin and tells him how to get strong)Wren is just a one dimensonal villain who thinks only about himself (like Ganondorf & Frieza from DBZ)

I would have put Tingle in the list. Especially in Wind Waker for his seaway robbery of 3,184 rupees to progress the plot.
Apparently he's popular in Japan, enough that he got his own spinoff game "Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland" there, but Nintendo knew he isn't so much in America (hence no release)

Rivali makes the most amazing character development in a Zelda passing from a jerk to link to actually showing in his own way some appreciation to the swordsman...
Revali could actually annoy you at first but knowing his background and why he's like that, i completely understand and loved his character more than any of the champions. When i played AOC, i loved his character even more.

Revali is awesome and Fi is a necessary character she is the whole reason Link and Zelda succeed in Tears
and the whole reason link survives in BOTW
Yeah linkle isn't annoying and her clumpsiness is somewhat charming. I enjoyed playing her and her courage could have her as a fragment of the heros spirit that got lost along the way.

Link may have some gender-neutral design traits, but he is certainly not "gender-neutral". And while gender-swapping characters is both annoying, comes across as forced, and is way overdone at this point, Linkle actually won me over. Her clumsiness was funny and charming. She was not done in a way such that you felt like she was supposed to be a female version of Link. She was a funny, over-the-top side-character in a non-canon game which was just about silly, over-the-top fun.

I don’t really see Linkle as annoying. Rule 63 Link and a rip-off of Mercedes from Maple Story…but not annoying.

I honestly never found Salvatore nor Kaepora annoying.
In defense of Fi she is very good on Skyward Sword HD. Compared to the Original Skyward Sword her advice are now optional and her dialogues are far better because you will feel she is very vital on the story.
Navi is quite funny especially the lines "Hey Listen".

I never actually hated Navi. Her "Hey Listen!" line can be repetitive but it is far from the worst video game sound i ever heard.
Tulin is basically Revali but with added character development.
Both have wind gust abilities and are arrogant, believing themselves as capable of doing anything. However Revali's arrogance costs him his life, while Tulin has his bow stolen until Link comes to help, then Tulin gradually accepts he has a lot more to learn.
On some levels, some would see some of these characters as annoying. But this is one list I absolutely do not agree with. The only annoying thing I have noticed from these Legend of Zelda lists is Johnny’s consistent nagging and hatred of water temples (we get it already 🙄)
At least Link and Revali have a one-on-one match in Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
And it's _non canon_ making it irrelevant to the conversation.

@@MrEasyNah Someone who hasn't played Tears of the Kingdom i see... the game makes it very clear that it's non canon by not referencing the story of Age of Calamity a *single time* in the ENTIRE game as if it _never happened._ ¿How do you call a game that's never referenced to keep _continuity_ with a sequel? @@MrEasyNah Yeah because the Future Champions would definetly return to their timeline without any desire to _remember_ their exploits in the past either to themselves (diary pages) or to anyone interested in knowing of a past timeline where the Calamity was averted such as a certain Princess filled with PTSD and guilt after the death of her father. Let's not forget the convoluted problem that is the *timeloop* caused by said Princess's trip to the past making it utterly IMPOSSIBLE for Age of Calamity to happen with both the events of the Imprisoning War been averted and the LIGHT DRAGON flying above the Cloud Barrier awaiting for a Hero that will NEVER ARRIVE thanks to Walking Plotdevice's/Terrako's meddling with the timeline.
You KNOW the game's non canon yet arrogance and emotional attachment to fanfiction makes it impossible for the so called "Zelda fans" to admit the game's complete irrelevance to the timeline.

I stand with Revali. Sure he has his opinions on Link but he is a pretty humble Rito. Think about it, instead of demanding a statue of himself or a position pf power like Chief , he requested his training arena nit just to show of his skills but to protect his people

It's stupid that you have Linkle on this list, because she's not annoying AND she's NOT AN NPC. The other characters mentioned here, however, can get stuck in a room full of ReDeads for all I care.
Revali wasn't really annoying. He was a cocky prick, but he respected Link as his rival. Salvatore wasn't bad at all either. I thought he was kinda funny lol
Why calling out Fi annoying? She has been a fan favorite. And she have made briefest moments in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
For Ocarina of Time Master quest(It's imposable in the normal variant) the Owl can be skipped after the first 2 meetings by using the shortcut area at the lost woods which links to death mountain and Zora's river and even cases where you have to view the dialog just hold B and A and it will fast forward the conversation which is something you can't do with the others on the list
Revali gets WAY too much hate. And all that hate just boils down to “He’s mean, therefore I don’t like him.” It’s unfortunate because that cocky attitude is really just a facade for his true insecure self. Sure, he’s rude to Link, but he’s just jealous that he had to struggle to get to where he is while Link is just naturally gifted. In my opinion, Revali is one of the best characters in the entire Legend of Zelda series because of how well-written and three-dimensional he is.
Edit: I’ve read some of the comments and it’s great that some people are disagreeing with Revali being on the list :)

Never found Linkle or the Phantom Hand to be annoying.
I don't know that Nakura bothered me that much. Because Link's Awakening is so small you can just wander from screen to screen to find his house. Navi I just stopped hearing after 5 min, and found her targeting helpful. I did find it funny when people starting having ring tones that said "Look! Listen!"

She is not a silent protagonist. She works as your average I wanna be a hero or something. But cmon at least be a silent hero. Nice backstory and all but the dialogue should have been done by a fairy

I really hate Linkle. She was incredibly annoying and delusions of being the legendary hero made me roll my eyes every single time she brought it up. Her character only consisted of those delusions and her love of chickens and crossbows. A part of me wanted her to see Link with the Master Sword so she would realize that she is not the chosen hero and finally shut up.
Good god you are gonna get in a lot of trouble with Zelda fans for calling Revali, Fi, and Linkle annoying, (Personally i think that Revali is one of if not the best characters in Botw)

Naaah, Linkle isn’t really all that bad. I love how she keeps getting lost and just accidentally keeps saving the world
But also yeah, Rutos high placement is completely deserved. In Hyrule Warriors, she’s still insufferable, her ego is almost as big as Midnas despite not being justified at all for her, and one of the first things you hear her say in the main quest, is: Let’s get off of these disgusting mountains… right in front of Darunia
I remember meeting Kaepora the first time and I found his presence magical. He made me feel better after the heartbreaking scene with Saria. Toward the end of the game it made me sad the last time he showed up at the spirit temple.

@@RussellSmith91 ok, Groose had one of the biggest character arcs in the franchise, so you can’t really call him egotistical or obnoxious if you’ve played skyward sword. I and a lot of people I know call Revali and links relationship a “not-so-friendly competition”. Hell, Revali right before you return to rito village, if I remember correctly (it’s been a bit since I’ve played botw) even admitted that link is simply better than him, and told him to “take good care of the princess” or something along those lines.
T.L.D.R: they both went through some sort of arc (if you can call it that) that made them not as obnoxious

I find it so hard to be annoyed by Fi. I really liked the character. And she has one of the most emotional farewells of any companion. On par with Midna’s farewell.
I was sure that Midna from Twilight Princess was going to be on the list. She is the one who got my blood boiling.
Linkle absolutely does not belong on this list, she was a halarious character and she's my go to crowd control in Hyrule Warriors, I'm not a huge fan of forced diversity but her character was a great addition to the game

Also I have never been a fan of Yunobu, his dub voice and him almost constantly saying “Goro” with that stilted tone constantly killed it for me..
“SHE LIKES CHICKENS AND CROSSBOWS!!!” That could be metal lyrics. I didn’t think Linkle and Kaepora were annoying. Kaepora shows up briefly, and not in the grown up portion. Navi and Fi should’ve been 1st and 2nd respectively

And just like that, your criticism of Linkle exactly illustrates the problem with "inclusion" derived characters.
I never minded Kaepora that much, he felt like an interesting part of the child portion with a talking animal trying to aid the child version of Link in this bigger world while in the adult portion he is pretty much absent and the world looks smaller.
First: Hyrule Warriors may be a side game but it's still a game that preceded breath of the wild; as in, the events in HW are what made the new Hyrule in BotW.
Second: Linkle is not as annoying to be warranted a placement on this list. People biases are the problem.

I enjoyed playing as linkle her cross bows and speed boots were awesome. Though I’ll admit your #1 choice was and is the most annoying Zelda character ever. I also enjoyed the hand in the toilet my brother and I never laughed so hard for a peace of heart.

Fi may be annoying but compared to Navi she is way more useful throughout the story.
I love Navi. That voice never gets hold except when she teaches me stuff that I already know due to replays.
I never found Linkle to be annoying. I found her to be charming and silly. She also had some of the most fun weapon kits in Hyrule Warriors.

I actually wouldnt mind a zelda game where Demise' curse acts up in a generation where link and Zelda are gender swapped. It would be an interesting twist to have to save the prince of Hyrule while playing as Linkle, or whatever theyd call her in the main cannon universe
