- In this video we take a deep dive into the Skaven faction in Warcry. We start by looking briefly at where the Skaven faction came from before doing our usual number crunching and looking at every fighter profile available.

Corrections
Correction: 7:17 Giant Rat damage was wrong, it was listed as 2/4 but should have been 1/3 which brings the average to 2.
Correction: 18:31 I incorrectly say the bonus is hits and crits when it's just +1 to crits. The boosted average damage is 7.5, still good just not as good.

I had a massive skaven army 25plus years ago, you could be thematic or blend the clans and they were brilliant
Speculation is a skaven range refresh for the next edition of AoS. Should be good!
@@optimalgamestate I recently started playing warcry, I mainly play 40k with my son, he has special.needs and it helps him, I looked at skaven and it wasn't the faction I knew so I didn't bother at least with warcry I can make something unique

Sometimes I wonder why Skaven aren't divided into their respective clans. Kind of like Stormcast have been. There are just soooo many models.
That might mean having to make new models to round out the clans though! It would be amazing :D

I'll add them to the list. It's a new video every week, but can be tricky to bring it back around to Warcry. We do have a preview coming up soon though, so more content!

A shame Skittershank's Clawpack doesn't have rules for Warcry, by far some of the most gorgeous models for the Skaven next to those Stormfiends IMO. Though having them take up Gutter Runners, Deathmaster, and Night Leader positions makes up for it I suppose.
We just got rules in the upcoming white dwarf!
They do have rules now, though unfortunately, they're just directly derived from the stock profiles so they're not very good- too expensive for what they do :( Very weak effort compared to Skabbik
Oh man - I wish they would re-release the shaven war bands again and on their own. The old Spiteclaw's swarm, that newer night runner war band that's tied to shadow elves in a big box... They are such cool models.
I did look for Spiteclaws swarm on eBay recently, it was not pretty!
spiteclaw is back now but it's in a box with different models so it's like 80 bucks (which is cheaper than ebay from what I've seen)

Very informative!! I am confused though by the reaction, Musk of Fear. It sounded like you were saying that the skaven that used the reaction can move? It reads to me like it must be another skaven model within 3" of the rat using the reaction. Do I have that correct?
You have that correct. The 'trick' with the reaction is you only have to move away from the enemy fighter who moved, but you can still move into melee with a different enemy fighter.

There is a typo, but not by much. On the slide I have 3.33 when it should be 3. The dashboard should be right though.
Because my dmg profile is 3 3 1/3. 2/4 dmg points would be awesome. 🎉😂 But Overall great and helpful video. I think Skaven Can be a threat on any mission type, but is not overpowered.

Still great work get ne back in painting up some rats for our upcoming Warcry campaign an probably a local matched play tournament.
Small correction but at 18:32 you have the Running Death ability wrong, it applies only to crits not to hits and crits
