Some technical info:
No station receives the feed at the exact same millisecond, nor is any station able to broadcast it perfectly in sync with the others. I synchronized all the clips to simulate them all starting together at 9:00 pm, but we know that this "like clockwork" precision isn't possible in digital TV technology. Encoding, compression, and digital transmission all add some delay, even if it's relatively few milliseconds (enough to not cause too much discrepancy), it's still there.
Id just like to add that this was especially the case with the bbc. I was first watching on bbc one then went to npo to see what my voting number is and i noticed it jumped ahead like 10 seconds
RAI WAS ON TIME? EVEN EARLY?! I can't believe it
Do we wanna talk about the afternoon shows of Mediaset on Italia 1?? These are normal shows, not important ones...
This year they've screwed up enough
they arrived early, and then fucked everything with the transition to the actual content
frfr
I think Rai switched in early to show its native sponsor ad instead of the MoroccanOil one (probably because of contracts? idk)
i went to walk the dog while the voting was going on and i could see all the open windows in the buildings literally all of the tvs were in sync watching eurovision and absolutely no one in the street, was quite an experience
Where?
I wish I lived where you live
I wish I lived where you live
Wow, French are not only delayed but also the loudest lmao 😂
Yes, the French version has a very high volume. I haven't adjusted any volume but only recorded the original streams.
That's because WE make shine all Europe 😉😌 actually
Last year RAI was very late in switching in to ESC grand final, now they were too early 😂
Better early! :)
I love how the german TV Station has no Commercials but the others do.
FYI The Belgian TV stations don't have ads either.
Also UK's BBC One
SVT1 didn't have any commercial 🤷
@@langtidsminneUmm no? They advertised with Moroccaniol.
@@LetronGER that's just sponsoring of the show
RAI: _(always late on switched to live)_
Also RAI: *THIS YEAR I'M EARLY BIRDIE*
Due a lot of advesitings and Reclams that way😊
1:25 / 1:35 I really can´t say that there´s any audio delay. Everything´s exactly on time, works perfectly and smoothly. ♥
The italian screen is unhearable when there's any other one contemporarily 😂
As already noted, I didn’t modify any volume
because there is only the commentator talking, while the other have commercials which have higher loudness than just a voice. If you listen with good speakers, you can here Gabriele Corsi's voice.
it would actually be REALLY interesting to know how australia receives its broadcast feed and how much delay there would be considering the vast distance to be crossed... even fiber direct links have extremely high pings... satellite to satellite link maybe?
EBU's FINE (Optical Fiber Network) also covers Australia (Sydney), as well as Japan, China, USA and other distant countries. They don't care about ping because it's a stream and not a direct interaction between points. Of course there's the satellite stream too. Keep in mind that compression technologies work wonders.
@@RadioGiorgio well sure, but wouldn’t 300ms latency feel noticeable enough for the stream? or is it still within the limits of the stream being able to reach australia simultaneously
@@kristijanradovac I think that a good stream can be guaranteed if the latency is less than a second. So if they have a good infrastructure (and they do), a latency of 300 ms shouldn't really compromise the live stream. Also, consider that satellite feeds have latency, so if any provider (even geographically closer) uses the satellite feed, they'll be subject to some latency regardless of geographic location.
@@kristijanradovac If you were truly looking at them side by side, you'd notice the delay. Otherwise it makes no difference.
Even within Europe the broadcast wouldn't go to air perfectly in sync. Encoding, compressing and transmitting digital video all adds delay. They're shown in sync here because without ultra accurate timestamps from the receiving end what else can you do. They *were* in sync at the *mixing desk* of each station.
The main thing that's special about Australia is that Eurovision starts at 5am - so most of the work goes into the evening replay instead. I know in some past years they've started the show on a short tape delay and made up time during the first break before joining truly live. They don't run too many ads, so for a skeleton crew this is probably less work and less chance of technical issues.
@@The98597thMark Exactly as you said, no station receives the feed at the exact same millisecond, nor is any station able to broadcast it perfectly in sync with the others.
Of course I synchronized all the clips to simulate them all starting together at 9:00 pm, but we know that this "like clockwork" precision isn't possible in digital TV technology.
It's better with no comment on CZcams, in my opinion.
The official CZcams livestream has no comment
@@RadioGiorgio I know. I've been watching the shows there for years. I could not stand the comments on French TV any longer
@@Olivier-GM Oh yes there are some moments when the comment is truly invasive, I’ve watched the Italian version and I can confirm
@@RadioGiorgio This year they managed to provide the clean audio stream on the "English" audio track on Rai 1: you can notice the "this program is available in original language" text shown in the upper right corner just after the Eurovision intro
@@GiorgioNozzoli Yes! They provide the original audio track for many TV programs.
Its so satysfinig
This is crazy man
TVE got "Telediario" programs before begin...
Mostly, They just ended previous program before begin about more than 30 minutes.
GMT +8 Stations in this scenario: Nope, everyone are sleeping!
DO YOU HAVE RTS 1 SRB ENTERING AND HRT 1 HR ENTERING AND CAN YOU MAKE THAT VIDEO AGAIN WITH RTS 1 AND HRT 1 ETERING
I noticed that the CZcams feed only broadcast in 30 fps. While European TV broadcasters opted for the 60 fps feed. CZcams have a 60 fps live stream option so why it didn't provide here?
There isn't a 60FPS feed. Even the main satellite feed from the EBU is only 25FPS interlaced. If the broadcasters are showing it at 60FPS, it must be getting upscaled by them...
@@andysmith1706 Also EU channels are only 50hz, not 60hz.
That is just a preference by the EBU, and TV channels usually publish their programs on the interlace framerate (25 as opposed to 50, 29.94 as opposed to 59.98).
Also, CZcams compression sucks so live streaming in 50fps (CZcams encodes to 60) would result in lower quality than live streaming in for example 25.
I heard France 2's audio.
Quella col commento è l'unica in ac3 (dolby).
Comunque grazie mille, sei molto informato 😊
@@finchx881 Confermo, traccia AC3 che tra l’altro non è neanche quella principale ma la seconda…
Croatia ❤
That is really Eurovision abouth! XD XD XD
Where’s BBC One for England?
I’m really sorry but I wasn’t able to record some broadcasters.
Receive BBC in italy is quite difficult due the footprint of your satellite only on UK (here need at north at least 1.5 meters dish, rest of italy more). In internet the signal is geo protected and the BBC channels are not included in any pay bundle.
@@satwolf The BBC iPlayer restrictions can be bypassed using a VPN, but yes, I don’t have any UK TV license of course
@@RadioGiorgio
add VRT
I’m sorry but I did not have access to all European broadcasters :(
@@RadioGiorgio :( no problem! ty anyway!
Version that has all footages with the same volume? I live in italy and Rai 1 being unhearable is offensive for me
Addirittura offensivo? Sono italiano anch’io e ho semplicemente lasciato tutti i volumi originali, mica ho abbassato quello di Rai 1 🤣
@@RadioGiorgio lo so. Ti ho chiesto di fare un video in cui tutti i canali si possono sentire forti
Guess what channel was i watching
Clue: 🟦
They couldn't even stop talking about the song 8.
