Fable: TLC -- First recorded completion of Fist Fighter boast on Rescue The Archaeologist!

- As far as I know, this is the first uploaded instance of finishing this incredibly difficult boast for this quest. The idea came from a question by MasterZyck in CleanSera's chat during a stream.
Rescue The Archaeologoist is relatively straightforward until the final part in Prison Path, where you are given a 5 minute time limit to kill all the Minions on the map, of which there are over 10, all with 1800-2000 health each.
The requirements for the Fist Fighter Boast are slightly misleading, as it says "Do not use any weapons or offensive magic", but practically all magic is banned. The only permitted spells that I'm aware of are Physical Shield, Heal Life, and Slow Time.
Non offensive spells that do no damage like Summon, Ghost Sword, Assassin Rush, and Turncoat instantly fail the boast, so these cannot be used.
I use the two strongest mercenaries from Twinblade's Camp, and the Temple of Avo which both have weapons dealing over 100 damage. I then spend some time rescuing all the guards in order to have some extra firepower for the end. The first 3 maps were quite tedious, but the final map was actually quite easy, aside from the AI bugging out at the start, all the 7 (!!) allies I had were splitting up to deal with seperate minions, which helped matters lots. Around the halfway mark of the timer, there was still a lot of minions left but I just barely made it with seconds to spare.

Another note: it is possible to do this quest backwards. If you reach Lychfield Graveyard before accepting this quest, then accept it, then teleport to the Graveyard (don't go to Bowerstone Jail, just teleport to the Graveyard), there will be a magic barrier, you can clip through it with Summon and A. Rush and go to Prison Path. There will be no timer so you can last as long as you want. After the Archeologist is saved tho, you have to go through Windmill Hill and then Bowerstone Jail so that the quest is marked completed.

I think there's a few boasts that are impossible to complete for one reason or another (Darkwood Disturbance's Do Not Harm Briar boast fails instantly), but I'd be down to try it sometime!
This boast should give you like 50k if we are being fair. The amount of time spent and experience missed here is insane. Also, Summon, Turncoat and Assassin Rush shouldn't fail this quest wth
the only boast worthy thing I once did was not kill anything until the arena and someone with more patience can probably clear it beyond that...
So can we expect a Trader Rescue Pacifist soon?
In fairness, No Kills up until the Arena is still a very solid feat! Right now the game's only possible up to Prison with No Kills so you're not far off :D
And funny you mention that, a few days ago I managed to get Trader Massacre pacifist, which is normally impossible due to you immediately pulling out the sword at the start of the quest, but I found a way around that! I should be uploading that today :)

Why didn't playing on the anniversary edition ?
Generally I prefer playing on the original, as I've got practise saves and everything already set up on it, and I already was working on the game beforehand, so it made sense to use the version I was more familar with. This should work on Anniversary though, there wouldn't be any real difference at all.
hmm, didnt think its considered hard to do all boasts on this quest. i had a much harder time with darkwood disturbance for example. but i have completed it pretty easily in my current playthrough somehow. first time i did all boasts playthrough was somewhere in 2018 so i think it was around that time when u recorded this vid. but im playing anniversary in heroic mode

How did you get your favourite region to be The Arena?
Favourite region seems to be purely be based on whichever area you've spent the most amount of game time in, so if you stay in the Arena more than any other map it'll set it to that.
You could probably set your favourite region to be something like the Guild Caves if you stood in there long enough.

Only fist fighter, feelsbad. Why not all the boasts completed on Rescue the Archaeologist :)

But you don’t have to kill all the minions, if you go really fast you’ll only have to kill the two next to the archaeologist
Of course, but emphasis on the words "really fast", you only have about 30 seconds to kill the last two, around 20 of which are spent making your way down to the pier.
With the Fist Fighter boast, it's enough of a challenge to get down to the pier in 30 seconds because of no Berserk or Assassin Rush, from there killing the final 2 Minions is not possible in the short amount of time, the followers are likely to be distracted by other minions on the way, and you can only do 20 damage max per hit, that's 100 hits per minion, which takes a little while. In a speedrun environment, of course you'd only kill the last two, but for this challenge it's simply not possible to do :)
