  • In this episode of the Club Pilot Road To The British Open Paramotor Championships series we’re at Wingland airfield with the brand new Bulldog paramotor, equipped with an MY20 Vittorazi Atom 80, and we’re test flying our competition setup. We’ve side mounted our reserve & made our map board, it’s essential to test fly anything new to your setup prior to having to rely on it in a competition. Here’s how the testing went only 1 day before the competition!

0:48 - Fitting The Map Board
    1:37 - Test Flight
    4:02 - Spot Landing Practice
    5:24 - Final Thoughts
This is the third video of a new mini series I'll be publishing on how I prepped my equipment for the British Open Paramotor Championships 2020. We started with how to side mount your reserve, now we're building a map board, next we'll test fly everything and finish up with efficiency & speed data collection. I'm so happy to see someone that used high suspension and not a monster on his back! 👍

The Bulldog frame is amazing at what it’s designed for: schools, easily & cheap to fix, very comfortable in rougher conditions and definitely a XC machine. The Atom 80 accompanied it perfectly for a lighter pilot and with my latest wing it shouldn’t be the gear that will let me down in next years competition 😁

I found putting the keyring on the board and dog clip on the harness side. Nice video.

Good idea! Although this map board does the job, there's a few things that can be improved upon which I'll definitely incorporate into version 2, that idea is probably one of them!

Me to, it’s definitely harder editing this stuff when you know the weather for the next few week will be rubbish 😭

It's like having an office in the sky. I'm thinking about having fiber broadband put in 😂

When was this recorded? Nice weather? Do you think you can market that Cock Shield? HA HA HA ... You might be able to Velcro the map board to your chest for take-off and landing to keep it up and away from your thighs. And yes, the markers need a short tether so as not to accidentally go into the prop.
