  • Whilst I'm editing down the 325Gb of championship video footage for the indepth account of the championship, Giles Fowler has suggested why not create some smaller videos of what my main take away points and learning from the competition. So to kick the next part of this series off let's talk about what a classic paramotor competition is.

      Thanks Greg, I find there's not much in the way of comp content/knowledge so hoping to fill that void

    Nice video and thanks for the mention. It certainly removes a lot of the fog around what the competition is all about. Looking forward to seeing the next videos in the series.

    hmmm, so anyone who isnt a member of the bhpa? and has experience. and video footage proof. that they can fly... will they be able to compete?? or is it just for the bhpa members only. yea a bit foggey

    • @DanielJonesParamotor
      @DanielJonesParamotor  Před 3 lety

      Only for BHPA members. I’m having discussions with the organiser about it. The whole championship class is aimed at creating a good British team for the world championships, that shouldn’t necessarily just be BHPA members. Unfortunately it currently is...

      @@DanielJonesParamotor hi daniel .its been like this for far too long. its very bias. and I am thinking about other pilots.that don't want to join the bhpa? quote open class competition??? hmm,

      @@TONYPARAMOTOR Let's see what the future holds. The BHPA do setup and run this competition so makes sense for people to be members in that regard. However, it also makes sense to allow other pilots to compete who have the relevant skill, insurance & knowledge. It's just the matter of how do you justify what level a pilot is at without them going through a recognised training structure.

      @@DanielJonesParamotor hi, daniel. as far as I see it. anyone who can fly a paramotor. and can show a few basics. as for instance after having a solo flight and after say 30 hours. then they should be allowed to compete. and have insurance. I remember years ago.. it was packed full of paramotor pilots competing. nowadays .not so many. things need to change. get rid of the old school. and get the new school in ..... and mishaps no matter how many hours a pilot has ... accidents will happen. = pilot error. etc... if there wasn't no danger. ill probably wouldn't fly. I am an ex motor x rider. and I work as a roofing contractor.so I know about danger and risk. tx for helping daniel. I wish there was many more who think like you... stay safe.fly safe. every one. ;0)
