  • The Crop or Not Cardi is worked in one piece with herringbone double crochet stitches worked throughout. The cardi is completed by seaming the sleeves and sides then finished with buttonholes and edging. The stitch pattern creates a beautiful stitch pattern. Cardigan may be lengthened with pockets. The pattern works up quickly in bulky weight yarn. This soft and cozy design is made in Knit Picks/WeCrochet Biggo with Brava Bulky as an affordable alternative.
The Crop or Not Cardigan pattern includes sizing XS-5X.

To all of you who say why not just do a foundation double crochet instead of adding on with a new ball... i have done it and take my word!!!! A foundation dc is more stretchy than a regular starting chain. It looked horrible shortly after i was done. Do the chain! It makes it less stretchy so the sweater wears more easily. Hope that helps! Just trying to save you some headaches. But please let me know if you have had success the other way. Always love to learn.

OMG!! Because I am so used to FDC, I was going to ask this same question! Sooo glad I READ before I just ask. I know myself and would have absolutely tried it. THE YARN COSMOS HAVE LED ME TO YOUR ANSWER. TY TY TY

@@marshanotmarcia7433 ya I made one for my mom and my sister. And I used the fdc on my moms to try and save time and not have to sew in more ends and it hangs like 2 inches longer on that side! She says she does not mind it but it is so obvious! Lesson learned! Lol. Happy to help! Definitely make this pattern though! It is so beautiful and my sister gets compliments every time she wears it!

I purchased your pattern and am loving making this. The pattern is great and has diagrams and explains the process well. In just an hour or so Im done with the back and starting the sleeves. It works up pretty quickly once you get used to the Harringbone DC. Im making it for my Sister in law while shes here visiting so hopefully I can finish before she leaves in a few days.

This will be the next sweater I make. 2 crochet v neck pull overs, 1 crochet cardigan / pockets & 1 knitted cardigan with pockets. I really like the way you go into such detail when explaining the stitch counts and why. Your voice is very relaxing. Superb!!!! I believe I will leave the scalloped edges tho as I like the looks of it as opposed to the sc finished edge down the front. :)
