    Thank you for the video! For us newbies it may be helpful to give a run down of the piece before starting. This helps to visualize the construction. Love all your work! ❤❤

      Not just newbies..
      I found this video was not clear pertaining to sections beginning done. A summary in beginning would have been helpful outlining visually the steps.. and more larger views during the process..
      Not an excellent tutorial that is usually done by this designer..

      Having a diagram of the pieces would be nice. As in sewing patterns.
      According to her blog
      "The crochet cardigan is worked from the side across in simple half-double crochet stitches in the front loops only, making it a great beginner sweater pattern. The front and back are worked as one piece, and the sleeves are worked separately and seamed to the cardigan. You can easily modify the length by adjusting the starting chain."
      Then under Construction "The Cardigan is worked from the side across. Front and Back panels are worked as one piece. The sleeves and pockets are worked from the side across separately and then seamed to the garment."

    Good luck!
    I taught myself to crochet (from books: this was pre-video, pre-dvd, pre-Internet) when I was around 14, then did the same for knitting several years later. I still prefer crochet, but it’s nice to have both skills (especially when you come across yarns that are difficult to crochet with-like superfuzzy ones-that can be used to knit. I made an afghan last year and had to switch it from crochet to knitting once I hit a section of yarn that was impossible to see!)

      It is coming out beautiful. I have a question Mj I'm making this for myself in an x-lg I'm short 5'2" so I thought I should shorten the rows you said in instructions if you do that to cut down in multiples of 2 so at row 3 instead of 23 rows I stopped at 19. Now I'm working on row 13 the body so should I do that for every section so for row 13 instead of 24 rows do I need to stop at 20? Or should each section be 19? I'm confused. Thank you Candace

      It does look like she is going in the back loop. She does explain that it may look like that due to seeing the 3rd loop. When she tilts the row forward you can see all loops. A better camera angle could have made this easier to understand.

      @MsSaka100 Před 6 měsíci

      It does look like that because the top of the stitch is tilted away from us and the hdc has a horizontal bar that can look like the front loop. It might help to think of inserting the hook between the horizontal bar of the hdc and the loop above it. The result is a horizontal ridge on the side facing us that is created by the hdc horizontal bars, and a similar but thinner horizontal ridge on the backside that is made from the un worked back loop.
